CLIMAX BLUES BAND (see also: Climax Chicago Blues Band) - CLIMAX CHICAGO BLUES BAND - Tightly Knit - EU Press - UNIKALNY CDprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
The second album by Climax Blues Band (1971) is an example of British blues-rock that clearly goes beyond the pattern of typical blues bands - here, alongside guitars, there is saxophone (frequent solos), flute, harmonica, and the whole is held together by a very free, lightly jazzy rhythm section. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -

COLLEGIUM MUSICUM (see also: Prudy / Varga, Marian) - COLLEGIUM MUSICUM - Collegium Musicum (1st Album) +3 - AU Enigmatic Remastered & Expanded - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
An absolute classic of European progressive playing from the early 70s! Remastered Austrian edition - sounding really superb - better than the old, two-disc version made 30 years ago together with the CD "Konvergencie". The debut by this Slovak formation (led by the excellent organist Marian Varga) was inspired by the work of composers of classical music, as well as the output of The Nice and Procol Harum! The catalogue album was filled with three heavily extended tracks, averaging 13 minutes each; besides that, two tracks from the debut 13-minute EP (from 1970) were customarily added to the contents of the debut, as well as an alternative version, PREMIERED on CD, of the brilliant "Hommage a J.S. Bach", recorded in 1973 for East German Amiga. A MUST! (JL) -
COLLEGIUM MUSICUM (see also: Prudy / Varga, Marian) - COLLEGIUM MUSICUM - Konvergencie (2 Albums on 1 CD) - AU Enigmatic Remastered Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released at the end of 1971 (on double vinyl), the second album by the progressive Slovak formation. Now playing with an electric guitarist, the band presented four 20-minute suites; three excellent ones and the last on the record, "Euphonia", rather playing the role of filler. Without a doubt the album belongs to the strict canon of European prog rock and will delight all lovers of playing in the vein of ELP, Procol Harum, Egg or Rare Bird. Highly recommended! (JL) -

CONTINUUM - CONTINUUM - Autumn Grass - SWE Flawed Gems - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! Second (and last) album by a British, folk-jazz-progressive formation made up of classically trained musicians wishing to combine early music, folk, jazz and rock into one. On the 'second', released in 1971 by RCA, two line-ups appeared: the first three tracks (including 9' and 11' ones) were performed by an almost rock band with Hammond organ, saxophone, flute, piano, occasionally electric guitar and a typical rhythm section, while the 27-minute, title and at moments strongly avant-garde suite on the second side of the LP was recorded by a more folk-jazz line-up, known to some lucky people from the excellent debut. This beautiful record, hiding many surprises, does require a few listens, but once you get to know it better you cannot break free of it! Excellent sound! Highly recommended! -
CONTINUUM - CONTINUUM - Continuum - EU Walhalla Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A super-charming combination of classical music and folk - or rather Bach with Pentangle, with a pinch of modern (avant-garde) music. Classical guitars, flute, double bass and jazzy drums. I wrote more about this in my book on British Rock. Highly recommended! -
COOPER, ALICE - ALICE COOPER - Love It To Death - EU Editionprice: 50,00 PLN / 12,50 EUR

CORYELL, LARRY - LARRY CORYELL – Vanguard Visionaries 1969-1973 - Vanguard Recordsprice: 45,00 PLN / 11,25 EUR
A selection of Larry Coryell's recordings from the Vanguard Records catalogue from the late 60s and early 70s - from the period when the guitarist was among the most important pioneers of jazz-rock. The album presents both energetic compositions based on electric guitar ('Jam With Albert', 'Lady Coryell') and more lyrical, jazzy passages showing his versatility. Coryell's characteristic technique combines jazz improvisation with rock dynamics, bluesy feeling and the influences of classical music. Fans of old, jazzy, guitar-driven rock will be delighted!
