COSMIC DEALER (see also: Zipps) - COSMIC DEALER - Crystallization +5 - EU Once Again Expanded Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released in 1971, the legendary, only album by a Dutch band combining at times heavyish progressive rock with psychedelia and which may bring to mind the Pretty Things' LP "Parachute" (1970), underrated in Poland, as well as the early recordings of Focus and Jethro Tull. As an original on the Negram label it is probably the most expensive progressive record from the Netherlands, fetching 1000-1200 euros in perfect condition. Plus five recordings from Dutch TV from 1971 are included. Very highly recommended! (JL) -

The only album by a Dutch band combining progressive rock with psychedelia and hard rock, which may bring to mind the Pretty Things' "Parachute", underrated in Poland, and the early recordings of Focus and Jethro Tull. As an original on the Negram label it is probably the most expensive progressive/psychedelic record from the Netherlands, fetching 1000-1200 euros in perfect condition. This is a very attractive-looking 2024 reissue, in a laminated sleeve and with very nice sound. CONDITION: new, unsealed. -
COTTONWOOD (see also: Love) - COTTONWOOD - Camaraderie - EU Walhalla Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Cottonwood is a Californian formation founded by Gary Rowles - the former Love guitarist (on the records "Out Here" and "False Start"). Released in 1971 by the label ABC, the formation's only album contained ten "laid-back", guitar-driven tracks combining folk, blues and country with psychedelic influences (as in the very nice "50 LBS Of Smile"). Perhaps it is not a masterpiece, but the record is a real pleasure to listen to. Recommended (K) -

The first complete anthology of the work of an American band playing melodic and catchy, but dynamic hard rock (with elements of ambitious pop and early progressive rock) using organ. The set includes both albums, "Crabby Appleton" from 1970 and "Rotten To The Core!" from 1971, and additionally eight bonus tracks in the form of single mono versions. The whole thing in a tri-fold digipak. Highly recommended! (MU) -

CREEPY JOHN THOMAS (see also: Rust) - CREEPY JOHN THOMAS - Trippin' Like A Dog And Rockin' Like A Bitch - Complete Recordings (3CD) - UK Grapefruit Edition - LISTENprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
A three-disc compilation containing two Creepy John Thomas albums and "Come With Me" by Rust, in which the leader had previously played. The only album by the latter group was originally released only in Germany. It was a very interesting, almost hard-rock material, with strong psychedelic influences. Creepy John Thomas's first record consists of short, 3-minute tracks in the hard/folk/psychedelic moods characteristic of 1969, while the second (like the Rust record, released only in Germany) has only six tracks full of heavy, spacious and very juicy playing. Plenty of guitars, nice vocals in the style of a young Lemmy and a veeery solid rhythm section. The album includes a 22-page booklet. -
CRESSIDA (see also: Uriah Heep) - CRESSIDA - Asylum - EU Repertoire Press - LISTENprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
German vinyl edition of the excellent second album by a British progressive formation playing beautiful, richly arranged art rock, comparable with the music of the Moody Blues, Rare Bird and Procol Harum. Both albums are sensational, although personally I value slightly more the somewhat rawer debut (also released by Repertoire in a gatefold sleeve). A must! -

A reissue of the 1971 debut album by a band from Denmark - in my opinion one of the three best albums ever recorded in Scandinavia! This Danish band brilliantly combined refined, rocking, guitar-driven playing with typical prog rock a la Jethro Tull and Procol Harum. Plenty of guitars, Hammond organ, lots of changes of tempo and mood and great, catchy melodies - simply a perfect album! Original copies in perfect condition are worth up to a thousand euros! 2024 edition, in a laminated sleeve, sealed. A MUST! (JL) -
CULPEPER'S ORCHARD - CULPEPER'S ORCHARD - Culpeper's Orchard - AUS Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
One of the three best albums ever recorded in Scandinavia and probably the coolest record from Denmark! This cult, though still not widely known, band brilliantly combined sophisticated, dynamic, guitar playing in the vein of Led Zeppelin with typical prog-rock a la Procol Harum and elements of folk. Plenty of electric guitars, Hammond organ, lots of changes of tempo and mood - simply a perfect album! An absolute must! -

CYCLE - CYCLE - Cosmic Clouds - Rise Above Relicsprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
"Cosmic Clouds" is a compilation of archival recordings by the British group Cycle. It contains material from the ultra-rare debut album from 1971 (a private pressing of 99 copies), a previously unreleased second album recorded in 1973 and a later demo from 1975. The music combines heavy hard rock with elements of psychedelia and early progressive rock, with long guitar parts and a raw, underground sound. -
CZERWONE GITARY - CZERWONE GITARY - Spokój serca +8 - ITA Eastern Time Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Limited to 500 copies, a very rare Italian 2015 reissue of Czerwone Gitary's only truly rock album! Recorded in January 1971 as a trio, this fifth album in the discography is one of literally 5-6 best Polish rock records of the seventies! The band showed a completely changed, at times almost psychedelic face, and Seweryn Krajewski enchanted with the quite powerful sound of an electric guitar plugged into a wah-wah effect! The album contained only two slightly easier tracks: the beautiful "Płoną góry płoną lasy" and the rather charming "Uwierz mi Lili" that opened the original vinyl - relegated to track number 4 on the CD. The rest is real, at times very atmospheric, ambitious rock! Please do not pull a face, or shake your head in disbelief. This title is very rare on Polish vinyl, because back in the day almost nobody bought it and as a result the band, threatened with a complete loss of popularity, gave up rock for good... For over 20 years, though, "Spokój serca" has been quite popular and sought after among Western collectors of rare records - hence, presumably, this reissue! The content of the album has been supplemented with eight rare or even mega-rare, generally exquisite recordings from the same period, including the full version, extended by a minute and a half (compared with the rare vinyl EP from 1971), of the jaw-dropping "Pejzaż miasta" (now 7:30 long - with Seweryn's brilliant, extended guitar improvisation), several never-released radio recordings and several numbers from nice East German singles - including a superb version of my favourite "Nocne całowanie" - on this superb CD in as many as three versions! Inside the booklet are reproductions of rare record sleeves from the period. Note! This CD sounds excellent, very clean and dynamic - miles better than the hissy and muffled Polish version from the 90s! An absolute must! (JL) -
