CONTINUUM - Autumn Grass - SWE Flawed Gems - LISTEN - VERY RARE

On CD for the first time! Second (and last) album by a British, folk-jazz-progressive formation made up of classically trained musicians wishing to combine early music, folk, jazz and rock into one. On the 'second', released in 1971 by RCA, two line-ups appeared: the first three tracks (including 9' and 11' ones) were performed by an almost rock band with Hammond organ, saxophone, flute, piano, occasionally electric guitar and a typical rhythm section, while the 27-minute, title and at moments strongly avant-garde suite on the second side of the LP was recorded by a more folk-jazz line-up, known to some lucky people from the excellent debut. This beautiful record, hiding many surprises, does require a few listens, but once you get to know it better you cannot break free of it! Excellent sound! Highly recommended!
