WRIGHT, GARY (see also: Spooky Tooth) - GARY WRIGHT - Extraction / Footprint - UK BGO Editionprice: 75,00 PLN 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
Two albums (on a single British CD) by the former Spooky Tooth organist. Nice, rather laid-back music, inevitably strongly referencing the musician's previous band. Several well-known musicians took part in the recording of the debut, including Mick Abrahams, Alan White and Klaus Voorman. And on the second, George Harrison appeared, among others! -
YANAGIDA, HIRO (see also: Food Brain / Apryl Fool) - HIRO YANAGIDA - Hiro Yanagida (2nd Album) - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Japanese rock of the early 70s is one of the most interesting things I have heard, and Hiro Yanagida was probably the most important and most creative figure of that scene! Known from projects such as Apryl Fool, Foodbrain, Love Live Life + One and Shinki Chen And His Friends, the artist created very original, at times slightly crazy music inspired by works of classical music, the avant-garde, and above all British psychedelic/progressive rock. Like the debut LP "Milk Time", released in 1970, the album "Hiro Yanagida" (sometimes called "Nanasai No Rohjin Tengoku"), made in 1971, is genuinely very varied music (from heavy, thrilling rock all the way to classical-leaning miniatures) based as a rule on the sound of the Hammond organ and heavy, at times strongly overdriven guitar (the excellent Kimio Mizutani - I recommend his solo LP from 1971). This largely instrumental album is simply thrilling, although it goes down even better after several listens! Lovers of the first album will also be delighted with this album! A must! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -

Released in a beautiful, gatefold, laminated sleeve, a single European vinyl, LIMITED TO 500 COPIES, being a nearly hour-long and truly excellent compilation of very rare or unique recordings by the band from its early period - recorded in January and June 1971 (with Bill Bruford on drums and Tony Kaye on organ) during the tour promoting "The Yes Album". The vinyl contains a superb, improvised, 16-minute version of "America" (from the repertoire of Simon & Garfunkel), the 11-minute "It's Love" (by the American band The Rascals) known from the second record, fantastic and heavily altered versions of the progressive "Astral Traveller" and the absolutely brilliant "Everydays" (from the repertoire of Buffalo Springfield) and finally the best known - the 11-minute "Yours Is No Disgrace". YES - YES - In Concert 1971 - FRA On The Air Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A rare European CD limited to 500 copies, a 77-minute and truly excellent compilation of very rare or unique recordings by the band from its early, breakthrough (just before it won popularity) period - recorded between January and July 1971 (with Bill Bruford on drums and Tony Kaye on organ), during the tours promoting the albums "Time And The Word" and "The Yes Album". The record contains a unique and very interesting setlist, including a superb, improvised, 16-minute version of "America" from the repertoire of Simon & Garfunkel, the 11-minute "It's Love" by the American band The Rascals, known from the second record, fantastic and heavily altered versions of the progressive "Astral Traveller" and the absolutely brilliant "Everydays" from the repertoire of Buffalo Springfield and finally the extended "Yours Is No Disgrace" and "Perpetual Change", lasting 11 and 14 minutes respectively. The sound quality is perfect. In my opinion, alongside the classic "Yessongs", it is the best live Yes material I have ever heard! An absolute must! (JL) -
