A long-awaited, vinyl, excellent-sounding reissue in a gatefold sleeve! Released by Deram at the very end of 1971, this album is an excellent, heavy blues-rock album - without a doubt one of the best records of this kind from the early 70s and at the same time the nicest achievement of this cult band! Recorded in a completely changed line-up (only the leader, the guitarist Stan Webb, remained, accompanied by the bassist John Glascock of The Gods/Toe Fat and the drummer Paul Hancox, who played two bass drums), the longplayer, unlike the first, strictly blues records, contained heavy, heavy-rock playing based on Webb's great, at moments almost Hendrix-like playing, combined with very early Led Zeppelin! It is simply a 'hard-hitting' album that should find its place in every self-respecting heavy rock collection! Condition: new, sealed. A MUST! -

Half produced by Nick Mason (the Pink Floyd drummer appeared on one track, and keyboardist Rick Wright on 5), this folk-psych-rock album, unreleased in its day (planned by the label Morgan Blue Town for mid-1970 and put out by Tenth Planet in 2002), without a doubt deserves special attention! Alongside two female vocalists the band featured Bob Weston (ex-Black Cat Bones and Ashkan) and bassist Nick South (ex-Second Hand). The result is quite a varied album that will appeal both to fans of folky, baroque sounds in the vein of Pentangle and Donovan, and to fans of decidedly progressive, heavy-bluesy moods (almost without the blues...). It is a pity I did not come across this material while writing the book Brytyjski Rock... Plus 8 demo tracks. Highly recommended! -

C.C. is of course the keyboardist of Ten Years After! What a pity that Alvin Lee did not include Chick's compositions on TYA albums! I wrote about this genuinely charming album in the book "Brytyjski Rock" and although I gave it a fairly high rating then, I now like this progressive, elegant and genuinely 'catchy' record even more! The incredible line-up certainly did the music no harm - just look! Among others Martin Barre, Cozy Powell, Leo Lyons, Bernie Marsden and the vocalist of the group Wild Turkey, whom I like very much (appearing on almost all the tracks)! In fact it is to the output of WT (as well as Wishbone Ash and Procol Harum of the time) that Churchill's music harks back to the greatest degree. I assure you that the LP "You & Me", released in a rather unattractive cover, has no filler whatsoever! Certain shortcomings of the artwork are compensated for by the excellent, clean sound quality! A MUST! New, sealed. -

Released in 2006, the second album by a British band containing psychedelic-folk-rock material with progressive touches, as if taken straight from 1971-72! The record contains nine richly arranged and truly charming compositions based on the sound of acoustic guitars, flute, Moog and several other instruments. Female and male vocals. Overall the record should appeal to fans of Trees, Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, Gryphon, or Sandy Denny's debut album. Recommended. -

Typically progressive playing with jazz influences and a few short ballads. The album contains, among other things, an absolutely stunning, almost heavy-rock, 8-minute version of "Norwegian Wood" by The Beatles and a brilliant rework of a jazz classic by Charles Mingus - one of my favourite progressive tracks 'ever'! This is the best-sounding reissue of this title! A must! -
