COLOSSEUM - COLOSSEUM - Upon Tomorrow (2CD) - UK Repertoire Remastered Editionprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
A two-disc album containing recordings from the "Supershow" concert (1969), a performance at the Questors Theatre (1970) and studio recordings and demos from 1971. The material shows the band in a transitional period between blues-rock and more extended progressive rock with elements of jazz. Improvisations, extended compositions and the characteristic playing of Jon Hiseman's rhythm section dominate. New, sealed. -

COLOSSEUM - COLOSSEUM - Live (2CD) - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
A remastered, DOUBLE edition from the British label Esoteric, expanded by over 70 minutes. Colosseum... Well, one of the best bands that ever existed! A pity it was so short-lived! The live album recorded in March 1971 and released on double vinyl has now been expanded with unreleased material from the same tour, including a spectacular, 22-minute version of Valentyne Suite and many other wonders! Even if you own the previous version of this jazzy, progressive masterpiece, these additional 70 minutes on the second disc undoubtedly justify buying it again! A MUST! -

COLOSSEUM - COLOSSEUM - Live At Ruisrock Festival, Turku, Finland 1970 - UK Repertoire Remastered Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A concert recorded on 22 August 1970 for Finnish radio at a rock festival in a rather unique, because short-lived (probably my favourite) line-up - with Clempson on vocals. A remastered 2020 edition, in a digipak. (JL) -
COLOSSEUM - COLOSSEUM - Live In Finland 1970 (+BBC Sessions 1969-1970) - FRA On The Air Remastered - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A limited, great 80-minute CD containing a 50-minute show by the band, from August 1970 (with very good sound quality - practically equal to the Boston tape from 1969) and two never-released radio sessions. The concert was recorded for Finnish radio at a rock festival in a rather unique, because short-lived (probably my favourite) line-up - with Clempson on vocals. The setlist is very interesting, as are the two BBC radio sessions from 1969 and 1970 included. The 1970 one sounds rather average, but e.g. the 10-minute, veeery extended (compared with the nondescript record version) track "Daughter Of Time" is the most fascinating Colosseum I have heard in my life! Listening to the ultra-dynamic acceleration halfway through the recording, even despite the poor sound quality, I simply got goosebumps. That is the power of music! The 1969 session (still with James Litherland - later leader of Mogul Thrash) sounds quite good and contains, among other things, an early, still incomplete version of "Valentyne Suite". It is an excellent complement to the CD "Live In Boston", adored by fans! A must! (JL) -

COLOSSEUM - COLOSSEUM - The Reunion Concerts 1994 (2CD+DVD) - UK Repertoire Remastered Editionprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
The live album The Reunion Concerts 1994 documents the return to the stage of the legendary British group Colosseum after more than twenty years since the band's break-up. The recordings come mainly from the concert at the E-Werk in Cologne on 28 October 1994 and from the Zelt-Musik-Festival in Freiburg. On the two CDs the band presents a cross-section of its most important compositions. Classics appear such as "Those About to Die", "Theme for an Imaginary Western", "The Machine Demands Another Sacrifice" and the finale "Walking in the Park". The combination of rock, jazz and blues characteristic of Colosseum still sounds fresh, especially as there are also virtuoso improvisational passages. The release also comes with a DVD with a recording of the whole concert from Cologne. Despite the passing of years the musicians play with the energy and freedom that were always Colosseum's trademark. -

Double, remastered edition of the first album by the second incarnation of the band - with Jon Hiseman on drums, Gary Moore on guitar and Don Airey on keyboards. The original LP, released by the label Bronze in 1976, contained six extended, jazz-rock compositions harking back indirectly to the style of the old Colosseum, though decidedly closer to the recordings of the then much admired Mahavishnu Orchestra. In addition, recordings from the band's studio sessions made in 1975 (disc 1) and in 1976 (disc 2) are included. Recommended! (JL) -

COMPLEX - COMPLEX - Live For The Minute - The Complex Anthology (3CD) - UK Grapefruit Editionprice: 125,00 PLN / 31,25 EUR
The first-ever anthology of the group from Blackpool, who self-released one of the rarest and most expensive albums in the world. In 1970 the quartet pressed 99 copies (to avoid tax) of their debut album, whose sleeve, owing to a production flaw, was slightly smaller than the record. In 1971 the group recorded a second album, "The Way We Feel", released in August of that year by the Deroy label, again in 99 copies. The third CD contains five tracks from an acetate recorded in 1972, as well as the single "Who Got The Love / She Turns Me On" from 1976 and previously unreleased recordings from 1973-1978. The discs come in sleeves slipped into a cardboard slipcase, together with a 24-page booklet containing, among other things, the history of the group. Highly recommended! (MU) -
