KALEIDOSCOPE (UK) (see also: Fairfield Parlour) - KALEIDOSCOPE - White-Faced Lady (1971 Album) - GER Repertoire Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
This is one of the most important reissues from Repertoire Records! This CD, released in a digipak, contains an excellent double album recorded in 1971 but not released until 1991 (the fourth in the discography - counting the LP "From Home To Home", released in 1970 under the name Fairfield Parlour), containing the best of Kaleidoscope's pop-psychedelic music - here combined with ambitious, melodic progressive rock of the early 70s! The band put all their money into this record, after which no major label wanted to release it, and as a result it all ended in bankruptcy and the break-up of the group... The music is wonderful and nearly perfect (though the melodramatic cover may put some people off...) and should appeal to every fan of 'psych' and 'prog'. Incidentally, this title, running to over 70 minutes, had been waiting years for a proper edition! An absolute must! (JL) -
KALA (see also: Quintessence) - KALA - After Quintessence: Complete Kala Recordings 1973 - UK Hux Expandedprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
A British progressive group founded by two former members of Quintessence: the vocalist and the guitarist. The album, released in 1973, at moments strongly resembled the style of Quintessence, although the music is less spiritual. At times you can hear influences of classic rock in the vein of The Faces. In addition two live recordings from the period, one unreleased studio recording from 1973 and two brand new tracks. -
KAIPA - KAIPA - Solo - GER Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
The third, considered the best, album by the Swedish band. A remastered 2015 edition, with a 16-page booklet. -
KAHVAS JUTE (see also: Tamam Shud / Rainbow) - KAHVAS JUTE - Wide Open +6 - EU Eclipse Remastered Expanded Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A European edition of the sole album, released in January 1971, by an Australian quartet and one of the 4-5 best rock albums from the land of the kangaroos! The band referred to the tradition of the 'power trio' in the style of Cream (the vocalist sounds almost identical to Jack Bruce), but instead of copying - they played their own thing - progressively, very melodically and at the same time with great dynamics. There is not a single average track on this excellent album! Two musicians had previously played in the sensational Tamam Shud, while the bassist was Bob Daisley, known from the records of Chicken Shack, Rainbow, Uriah Heep and Ozzy Osbourne! This is such good playing that it is hard to believe! The sole album by Kahvas Jute is among the greatest Australian rarities and in great condition easily fetches 1000 euros! In addition, four superb tracks from a 2005 concert (they sound like old ones) and two unreleased old numbers from TV. Note! This version, sonically, knocks all the earlier editions flat - including the Australian (slightly overdriven and rather hissy) expensive Aztec Music CD. An absolute must! -
JUNIPHER GREENE - JUNIPHER GREENE - Friendship - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
This album, released in 1971 by Sonet Records (on double vinyl), is the best progressive TITLE from Norway, and also belongs in the TOP 5 of Scandinavian classic rock! Attention! This CD, of over an hour, contains superb, cool (but romantic) and very precise playing (with Hammond and occasional flute) typical of groups from Scandinavia and Germany (such as Aunt Mary, Murphy Blend or Out Of Focus). The last part of the record is filled by the 26-minute title suite! Excellent sound quality! A curiosity: the label did not want to agree to produce an expensive, two-disc album by an unknown group, so the band paid for the pressing of... the second vinyl and as a result had to pay extra for the 'business'. Hence the original, vinyl edition (worth nearly 1000 euros in great condition) contains one rather heavy vinyl and one very thin one... AN ABSOLUTE MUST! -
JUNCO PARTNERS (see also: Mick Abrahams / Everyone) - JUNCO PARTNERS - Junco Partners - EU Digipack Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A very good, though little-known, only album by the Brits, based on the interplay of Hammond organ and nice guitar. Fairly dark playing from 1970. Recommended! -
JUMBO - JUMBO - Vietato Ai Minori Di 18 Anni? - ITA Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
An Italian band playing richly arranged, dynamic rock with elements of classical music, blues and jazz - not far from the style of Jethro Tull. 2004 Italian reissue, in a gatefold cardboard sleeve. -
JUMBO - JUMBO - DNA - ITA Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Excellent second album by an important Italian progressive formation, clearly harking back to the style of early Jethro Tull, but with more keyboards. Highly recommended! Italian 2004 reissue, in a fold-out cardboard sleeve. -
JOURNEY - JOURNEY - Journey (1st Album) - US Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
The first album by the once popular American band - and at the same time the best! This was not yet stadium, commercial playing, but very solid, almost progressive rock performed by, among others, organist and vocalist Greg Rolie, guitarist Neal Schon (both ex-Santana) and the famous Aynsley Dunbar on drums! Then the line-up changed drastically and more commercial playing began, with Steve Perry on vocals... Highly recommended! (JL) -

Debut album, with three bonus tracks. -
JONESY (see also: Alan Bown) - JONESY - Keeping Up +3 - AUS Progressive Line Remastered Expanded Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A very good British band playing classic prog-rock in the vein of early King Crimson, Spring and Genesis. You can also hear clear heavy rock influences (dynamic guitar parts - especially on the first LP). Edition supplemented with three tracks from the third LP "Growing" (1973). -
JONESY (see also: Alan Bown) - JONESY - Waltz For Yesterday - Recordings 1972-1974 (3CD) - UK Esoteric Remastered Editionprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
A three-disc set containing four albums by a progressive British band combining the influences of King Crimson, Gnidrolog, Fruupp and Cressida, with dynamic guitar parts: "No Alternative" from 1972, "Keeping Up" and "Growing" from 1973 and "Sudden Prayers Make God Jump", recorded in 1974 but released only in 2003, initially containing material taken from a cassette, but in 2021 remastered from the original tapes and in this form included on "Waltz For Yesterday". Everything in a rigid box, with an attractive booklet inside. Highly recommended! (MU) -
JONESY (see also: Alan Bown) - JONESY - Masquerade - Complete Anthology (2CD) - UK Esoteric Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
Two-disc, remastered anthology containing material from all three albums: "No Alternative" (1971), "Keeping Up" (1972) and "Growing" (1973) and a few extras. Jonesy is a progressive, British band referencing the style of King Crimson, Gnidrolog, Fruupp and Cressida. You can also hear clear heavy rock influences, that is, dynamic guitar parts - especially on the first LP. Highly recommended! -
JODY GRIND (see also: Sunday) - JODY GRIND - One Step On +1 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
In retrospect Jody Grind is a very underrated, though excellent, British band! Released in summer 1969, the debut "One Step On" contained a sizeable dose of early prog rock with touches of late psychedelia, including a 19-minute suite in a dark mood, typical British underground, with plenty of extended, breakneck improvisations on Hammond organ and superb psychedelic guitar parts. Comparisons with Atomic Rooster, heavy Procol Harum and Brian Auger in his most rock-oriented incarnation come to mind. The four shorter, but still massive numbers were in no way inferior to the first part! A fantastic album belonging to the strict canon of the best British records of 1969! What is more, now the (previously rather muddy) sound has been very pleasantly improved. A MUST! -
JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Thick As A Brick - EU Chrysalic Editionprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR

JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Nothing Is Easy - Live At The Isle Of Wight 1970 - GER Ear Music Classics Edition - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
An excellent CD containing a recording of the legendary concert, recorded on the Isle of Wight in 1970. Anderson and company presented themselves here at least fantastically! The tracks, known from the first four records, were played with even more power and "bite", often surpassing the studio originals (including a superb, extended version of "Dharma For One", known from the debut, with a drum solo by Clive Bunker lasting over 8 minutes)! Special mention deserves the superb, at times improvised and truly heavy playing of the guitarist Martin Barre, thanks to which Jethro's recordings took on new power!!! Moreover, the rest of the band also played at the highest level. This 65-minute material does not have a single weak moment and you listen to it with bated breath! Excellent, practically perfect sound quality. For me it is one of the best live albums of that period - it is only a shame that nobody released it at the time... An absolute must! (JL) -

JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Wind It Up In Hampton - Live 1972-1973 - FRA On The Air Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Excellent material recorded at two concerts at the Norfolk Scope, in Hampton, on 22 April 1972 and 11 May 1973 - from the Thick As A Brick and A Passion Play tours respectively. The sound quality on this 75-minute, limited CD is very good, but not ideal. It is an almost professional audience recording. All the instruments are very clearly audible and the whole thing is listened to with genuine pleasure. The problem is that no perfect (radio/mixing desk) live recordings of the band from 1972-1973 exist. Recommended! (JL) -

JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Live In Stockholm - January 1969 - FRA On The Air Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Limited French CD containing 80 minutes of music from two concerts (one in full) recorded by Swedish radio. It was the band's first tour with Martin Barre - at that time as support for The Jimi Hendrix Experience! Fantastic sound quality, and frenzied playing - with plenty of improvisation and with everything that makes us love Anderson's band so much. A MUST! (JL) -
JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Live In Los Angeles 1980 - FRA On The Air Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Excellent, 80-minute, unofficial material released in France in 500 copies, dating from December 1980 - from the last concert closing the American tour promoting the album 'A'. It was probably the last Jethro Tull line-up playing with rock verve and, what is more, progressively, and the material from the album 'A' came off here much more dynamically - downright excellently! It is worth adding that keyboards and electric violin were played by Eddie Jobson (just after the break-up of the group U.K.), so the whole thing sounded very professional and blazing. Generally it is an excellent complement to the official CD "Bursting Out" (all in all few tracks are repeated), and the sound quality is perfect, because this radio concert once came out on ABC Network vinyl from the series "A Night On The Road" and it was (probably) from that medium that this material was mastered. A real treat for fans of classic rock! A MUST! -
JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Live In Essen, January 1972 - FRA On The Air - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A limited, rare, European CD containing a great, 75-minute show by the band from Essen, Germany, from January 1972, during the tour promoting the LP 'Aqualung'. In my opinion, even despite certain imperfections, it is the best-sounding material from this period. The version on this CD sounds a good 20% better (more treble, corrected tape speed) than the music from YouTube. In addition, the unique, instrumental track 'Hard-Headed English General' from the 1972 concert in Tokyo has been included. Highly recommended! -
-
JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Live At Carnegie Hall, November 1970 - FRA On The Air - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A limited French CD containing 80 minutes of brilliant material recorded at New York's Carnegie Hall in November 1970 - on the tour promoting the band's heaviest album, "Benefit". This wonderful-sounding CD presents the band in its heaviest form, already with John Evan on Hammond organ. In 1972 two cut-down tracks ended up on the double LP "Living In The Past". And in 1993 an hour-long portion of the concert (in a different mix - with reverb) appeared on the four-disc box set marking the band's 25th anniversary. The whole concert, however, appeared on the long-deleted, three-disc CD edition of "Stand Up". So anyone who does not have this material (released in an exceptionally beautiful sleeve, taken from the limited, long-sold-out Record Store Day vinyl edition) should not hesitate any longer! Perfect sound quality! A must! -
JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Benefit +4 - UK Remastered Expanded Editionprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
The third in the discography, an excellent and decidedly guitar album + four bonuses from singles. -
JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - A Passion Play - UK Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released in 1973, an excellent, seventh, decidedly progressive (though underrated) album, like the LP "Thick As A Brick" (1972) containing a 45-minute suite! -
JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - A Passion Play - UK Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1973, an excellent, seventh, decidedly progressive (though underrated) album, like the LP "Thick As A Brick" (1972) containing a 45-minute suite! -
JASPER WRATH (see also: Zoldar & Clark) - JASPER WRATH - Jasper Wrath - SWE Flawed Gems - VERY RARE - LISTEN
First time on CD! To tell the truth, I find it hard to understand how one of the best psych/progressive American albums from the turn of the 60s and 70s had to wait so many years for a CD edition! The only album, originally released by Sunflower/MGM, contains fantastic late-psychedelic, or rather progressive material, close to the work of The Moody Blues, Andwella's Dream and early Renaissance, with a pinch of Jethro Tull and heavy rock. It is an absolutely dream album for every lover of melodic, intelligent and at the same time rousing rock music with numerous changes of mood. A Swedish CD with excellent sound, very faithful to the pure LP! A must! -
JASPER - JASPER - Liberation - EU Eclipse Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Yet another unknown English band with a single, forgotten title to its name. Released in 1969, mega-rare on vinyl (in perfect condition worth over 3000 euros), Jasper's album is a mixture of rock and blues, drizzled with psychedelic sauce, that is, early progressive rock. The album contains, among other things, a brilliant 7-minute, strongly psychedelic version of "Baby Please Don't Go", played at a veeery slow tempo. It is one of those records that gain a lot on repeated listens. The sound quality is excellent! Highly recommended! (JL) -
JANE - JANE - Together - GER Brain Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The most interesting album in this German group's discography - the most dynamic, concise - the only one recorded with the original vocalist. Musically a combination of the style of Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and very early Eloy. A must! -
JANE - JANE - At Home - Live +7 (2CD) - EU Expanded Digipack Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 85,00 PLN / 21,25 EUR
A classic album from 1976, now released on a double CD expanded by seven bonus tracks! -
JADE WARRIOR (see also: July) - JADE WARRIOR - Last Autumn's Dream - UK Repertoire Remastered Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
The excellent third album by the band, from 1972. More psychedelic and generally somewhat gentler than the 'full-blooded progressive' LP "Released", but just as good! 2014 remastered edition, in a digipak. Highly recommended! (JL) -
JADE WARRIOR (see also: July) - JADE WARRIOR - Jade Warrior - UK Repertoire Digipackprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Released in 1971 by Vertigo, the debut album by a cult progressive band from the British Isles. A combination of rock with elements of ethnic music - mainly of the Far East. Percussion instruments (mainly timpani) instead of a conventional drum kit. Remastered Repertoire edition in a digipak. Recommended! -
JADE WARRIOR (see also: July) - JADE WARRIOR - Released +1 - UK Repertoire Remastered Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A stunning second album - decidedly more rock than the debut and containing music close in style to East Of Eden (from the debut), Jethro Tull, Quintessence and Tonton Macoute. Plenty of Eastern elements, varied arrangements, flute, saxophones, etc. The LP was originally released on the Vertigo "swirl" - now as a Repertoire remaster in a digipak. A must! (JL) -
JADE WARRIOR (see also: July) - JADE WARRIOR - Released +1 - UK Esoteric Remastered Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A superb second album by the band. Decidedly more rock than the debut, and containing music stylistically close to East Of Eden (from the debut), Jethro Tull, Quintessence and Tonton Macoute. Plenty of eastern elements, varied arrangements, flute, saxophone, and so on. 2022 edition remastered from the original tapes, with one bonus track. A must! (JL) -
JADE WARRIOR (see also: July) - JADE WARRIOR - Last Autumn's Dream - UK Esoteric Remastered Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR

JACKSON HEIGHTS (see also: Nice/Flaming Youth/Refugee - JACKSON HEIGHTS - Ragamuffins Fool / Bump 'n' Grind - EU Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Third and fourth albums (both once released by Vertigo) by a British, folk-progressive formation led by Lee Jackson - the former vocalist and bassist of The Nice. Unlike Keith Emerson's band, JH's music was characterised by almost ballad-like, largely acoustic (sometimes folky, sometimes progressive) sounds built on acoustic guitars, keyboards (piano, mellotron) and percussion instruments. On both albums the drum parts were played by Michael Giles himself, and keyboards were played by Phil Collins's former colleague from Flaming Youth - Brian Chatton. -
JACKSON HEIGHTS (see also: Nice/Flaming Youth/Refugee - JACKSON HEIGHTS - Ragamuffin's Fool - UK Esoteric - LISTEN
Remastered edition of the third album (originally released by Vertigo) by the British folk-progressive group led by Lee Jackson, the former vocalist and bassist of The Nice. Unlike Keith Emerson's band, JH's music was characterised by almost balladic, largely acoustic sounds (sometimes folky, sometimes progressive) built on acoustic guitars, keyboards (piano, Mellotron) and percussion instruments. The keyboards were played by Brian Chatton, a former colleague of Phil Collins from Flaming Youth. The album also marked the return of drummer Michael Giles. -
JACKSON BANTON EVANS & FRIENDS (THE LONG HELLO) - JACKSON, BANTON, EVANS AND FRIENDS (VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR) - Long Hello +1 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered & Expanded - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
This is classic Van der Graaf Generator from 1973, but... without vocalist Peter Hammill! On CD for the first time since 1993 (now in a much better sound version) and for the first time in the original, vinyl cover! The material was not released in Great Britain until 1976 - in a horrible white sleeve with the brown logo of The Long Hello, but 2 years earlier it came out in Italy (in a fairy-tale cover - on United Artists) under the original banner of "three surnames and friends" and with the title 'The Long Hello'... The album was made in 1973 - right after Hammill suspended VDGG's activity, while the other musicians still wanted to work together. Stylistically it is a chunk of charming, instrumental progressive rock decidedly in the vein of the somewhat calmer, but still 'psychedelically twisted' moods of early VDGG - with flute, saxophone, processed keyboards and acoustic guitar. The record also features two then-members of Rare Bird, including bassist Nic Potter - known to fans from the second and third Van Der Graaf Generator records! In addition a track from an unfinished session for a VDGG LP from 1973 that was never made is included. A MUST! -
J.E.T. - J.E.T. - Fede Speranza Carita +2 - ITA Expanded Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
An absolute classic of Italian prog rock! Every fan of Italian playing (here in quite a 'heavy' guise) will love this music - bringing to mind the best achievements of New Trolls and the debut of Museo Rosenbach. A 2019 reissue, in a gatefold sleeve. A must! (JL) -
ISAIAH - ISAIAH - Isaiah - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The only, truly great album by an Austrian progressive band that once recorded for CBS. A classic album with extended compositions, changing moods and a good deal of saxophone and flute parts. Highly recommended! -
IRONBRIDGE - IRONBRIDGE - Ironbridge - SWE Flawed Gems Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! Completely forgotten, the only album by an anonymous British band (the LP was released in 1973 only in France - on EMI Columbia), playing very nice, melodic Beatles-esque rock (acoustic/electric Harrison-style guitars) with elements of hard and progressive - something like Badfinger combined with a more dynamic Home, and at moments even with the UFO of the time. Each side of the vinyl record ended with an excellent, progressive number with mellotron! Very good production and zero boredom! Highly recommended! (JL) -
IQ - IQ - Wake +4 - UK 2010 Remastered Expanded Editionprice: 85,00 PLN / 21,25 EUR
The second studio album by the British neo-progressive band, from 1985. An edition from the Giant Electric Pea label, from 2016, with a 2010 remaster, enriched with four tracks (including two demos and one remix). -
INDIAN SUMMER - INDIAN SUMMER - Rare Live And Studio Tracks 1970-1971 - FRA On The Air Edition - VERY RARE
Limited CD with unreleased studio and live material from the time of the only album by this wonderful progressive band! When 20 years ago I wrote for 'Tylko Rock' a summary of the 40 best progressive/lesser-known albums in my opinion (the so-called 'Parszywa czterdziestka'), Indian Summer's record (1971) took first place there! Incidentally, I still recommend it warmly to this day!!! Unfortunately, the band never recorded anything else, and nothing suggested that any unknown IS music would ever see the light of day! Well... In 2016 Record Collector magazine (once a genuine Bible for record collectors), in cooperation with one of the musicians, put together a double album limited to 500 copies (in a hideously garish cover) containing unreleased archive material and a great many paper archive items! Among other things, four excellent, professional studio recordings from 1970 (including three compositions that did not appear on the catalogue LP), a rejected track from the album sessions, and a very nice, though rather raw, 55-minute concert from December 1970 containing material from the whole album (minus one track), with two recordings extended to 10 minutes! Everything would have been great, the problem is that the performance recorded by the band (of quite good quality) was copied 'one to one' and nobody noticed that the whole thing sounds too slow (a typical problem with recordings from the 60s and 70s) and runs 2 minutes longer! The same tiresome, sloooow mix was repeated a few months later on a Japanese CD. Once again it turned out that they care only about the paper artwork there, and couldn't care less about the quality of the music itself... In any case, this On The Air CD contains the five studio recordings mentioned and the entire performance - AT THE CORRECT SPEED. On top of that, the parameters have been tweaked a little and the concert sounds much clearer and cleaner, although for technical reasons the first two recordings have no vocals... This is an absolute must for all fans of the band and of British prog rock! -
INDIAN SUMMER - INDIAN SUMMER - Indian Summer +5 - EU Eclipse Remastered Expanded - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A remastered and tastefully presented European edition of one of the most beautiful records in the history of progressive rock!! Made in March 1971, the album by the Britons contained excellent compositions based on the interplay of the all-pervading Hammond organs (with piano), intense, slightly jazzy guitar parts and a characteristic, expressive yet warm voice. Quite often this music brings to mind the stately but beefed-up sound of Procol Harum with a pinch of Atomic Rooster, but generally it is very original music. Why this band did not make it - I have no idea! You simply have to listen to it! Additionally five tracks are included - outtakes from the album's recording session and four compositions recorded back in 1970. This is the best-sounding compact disc edition of this album! An absolute must! -
INDEXI (YUG) - INDEXI - Ultimate Collection (2CD) - Croatia Records Editionprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
A two-disc, official compilation of the best recordings of one of the most popular Yugoslav rock bands of the 60s and 70s. Stylistically ranging from pop-rock to guitar-driven progressive rock. -

British, remastered edition of the debut album by a British progressive formation originating from the first line-up of the group Renaissance - which can be clearly heard in the music the band performs, that is, great progressive rock like... Renaissance of the early seventies! -
IKARUS - IKARUS - Ikarus - EU Eclipse Remastered Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1971 by the small Plus label (Tomorrow's Gift, Wind - "Seasons"), the only album by a great German band playing juicy, slightly jazzy rock in the vein of Out Of Focus, Nosferatu and Subject Esq., that is, lots of Hammond, mellotron, nice saxophone and flute parts and of course English vocals. Only four compositions! Highly recommended! -
IGUANA (UK) - IGUANA - Iguana - SWE Flawed Gems Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! The only, very good album by a British, jazz-progressive group also drawing on the style of soul, harking back to the record by Gass, Swegas, Demon Fuzz, Chicago and Lighthouse. Swinging, sophisticated and richly arranged playing with a vocal reminiscent of Mike Patto. Don Shinn - known to few from the fantastic, progressive LP "Takes a Trip"! - appeared as a guest on piano! Recommended! -

The debut album by a once popular British progressive band based on the interplay of wind instruments (saxophones, flute), Hammond organ and great guitar. Something like early Jethro Tull with early Blood Sweat & Tears. Nice compositions and excellent musicianship. Remastered edition with two bonus tracks. All the band's early records (up to 1972) belong to the canon of rock! Highly recommended! (JL) -
IF - IF - Double Diamond (5th Album) - EU Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Originally released in 1973 (curiously, initially outside Great Britain), the fifth album by a British, jazz-progressive formation. In my opinion it was the last genuinely progressive (that is, containing extended compositions with a lot of improvisation) and truly successful album by this excellent group! Recommended! -
IF - IF - British Radio Sessions 1970-1972 - FRA On The Air Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Superb material coming from radio sessions (1970-1972) once pressed by the BBC Transcription Service on super rare, promotional vinyls. Three studio sessions (ten tracks in all, lasting over 50 minutes) come from the period of the first three albums, and the excellent, half-hour concert was recorded after the fourth record was made. The studio material had not been published on CD before, while the live part appeared among the bonus tracks on the old CD version of "If 4". I must stress that the band plays better here than on the catalogue albums, and the sound quality is simply ideal - like on studio titles! What is more, only one composition is performed twice ("Seldom Seen Sam" live), so the whole is superb to listen to - like a kind of "The Best Of If"! The run of this CD is 500 copies and it will not be available forever. A MUST! -
ICARUS (see also: Wolf / Soft Machine) - ICARUS - Marvel World Of Icarus - EU Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1972, a remastered European edition of the only long-player by a forgotten British band playing a mixture of rock, jazz and psychedelia. Catchy and very concise compositions, plenty of juicy guitars, nice wind instrument parts - a bit like a combination of Heaven, Hannibal and If. Guitarist John Etheridge later played in Wolf and Soft Machine. Highly recommended! (JL) -

A box set containing two solo albums by the former Affinity vocalist. The first, very successful, strongly jazzy (but rocky too), recorded mainly with musicians from Nucleus and Blossom Toes, and the second, released in 2015, in collaboration with Mo Foster - a former Affinity colleague - also jazzy, calm in mood, with one additional track. -

HOOKFOOT (see also: Loot / Elton John) - HOOKFOOT - Hookfoot +2 - EU Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A superb record! This British band accompanied Elton on his early (very successful) albums. Released in 1971, a truly great debut album based on the interplay of excellent guitar and a very solid rhythm section + occasional keyboards and harmonica. Very nice, invigorating playing combining the aesthetics of Wishbone Ash, Wild Turkey and Neil Young. The CD contains two bonuses from the same period, including the superb "Shoeshine Boy" - a 12-minute showcase of improvised, guitar playing and one of my favourite rock tracks! Very good sound! Highly recommended! -
HOME (see also: Wishbone Ash / AC/DC) - HOME - BBC Live In Concert 1972-1973 - FRA On The Air Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A rare, limited, 80-minute CD gathering radio recordings by a British hard-progressive band in which Laurie Wisefield (from 1974 in Wishbone Ash) played guitar, while the bassist was Cliff Williams, known from AC/DC! The first part of the disc was filled by a nearly 30-minute show from 1972, while the rest of the CD was taken up by material played entirely live from the third album in the discography and without doubt the best of their career, 'The Alchemist'. Based on the sound of two guitars and resembling a combination of early Neil Young with Wishbone Ash, Home's heavily intricate music requires several listens at first, but then you cannot tear yourself away from it! Perfect sound quality. Highly recommended! -
HOLY MACKEREL (UK) (see also: Jason Crest / Orang-Utan) - HOLY MACKEREL - Holy Mackerel +10 - EU Once Again Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released in an attractive, monochrome sleeve by CBS in November 1972, the LP Holy Mackerel contained a combination of American, folk-rock playing with much heavier, progressive atmospheres in the vein of early Wishbone Ash, Wild Turkey or Hokus Poke - as proven by, for instance, the brilliant, nearly 8-minute Spanish Attraction. For that splendid track alone it is worth having this CD, and that's not all... A certain problem of this, all in all very nice and at times downright great, album was its excessive variety, as it is hard to find two recordings similar to each other. It is worth knowing that this progressive, 'almost hard rock' group was formed by three former musicians of the excellent psychedelic band Jason Crest (1966-1969): vocalist Terry Clark, guitarist Derek Smallcombe and drummer Roger Siggery. In 1971 the excellent and underrated Clark appeared on the only album, made exclusively in the States, by the hard rock band Orang-Utan, while Smallcombe played on the heavy rock LP by the band Samuel Prody, also released in 1971, but only in Germany. Additionally included are a rare single B-side and 9 tracks from the second album, titled 'Closer To Heaven', recorded in 1973 but halted at the last moment (and released only in the 90s). Highly recommended! Condition: NEW , sealed. -
HOLDERLIN (see also: Hoelderlin) - HOLDERLIN - Holderlins Traum - GER Remastered Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
A German, progressive band inspired by folk. A beautiful, refined record - violin, flute, Mellotron, and so on. The vocalist sings in her native language, but it is OK. One of my favourite albums from Germany! Highly recommended! A remastered 2021 edition, in a card sleeve. -
HOKUS POKE - HOKUS POKE - Earth Harmony - EU Eclipse Remastered Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A very good, unfortunately sole album by a completely forgotten British band playing guitar-driven, progressive rock in the style of Wishbone Ash, Northwind and Home. Recorded at George Martin's studios, the album came out in early 1972 on the (now) cult label Vertigo - unfortunately nobody bought it at the time. (JL) -
HOKUS POKE - HOKUS POKE - Earth Harmony - KOR Edition - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
A very good, unfortunately sole album by a completely forgotten British band playing guitar-driven, progressive rock in the style of Wishbone Ash, Northwind and Home. South Korean edition in a gatefold cardboard sleeve. Highly recommended! -

HIGHDELBERG (see also: Guru Guru / Kraan) - HIGHDELBERG – Highdelberg - MIG Digipak Remastered Editionprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
Highdelberg's music combines the psychedelic Guru Guru with the more melodic and orderly rock of Kraan, thanks to which the album is more compact and not as improvised as Guru Guru, but retains the psychedelic atmosphere and experimental character of German rock of the mid-70s. -
HIGH TIDE (see also: Misunderstood / Hawkwind) - HIGH TIDE - Sea Shanties / High Tide (1969-70) - GER Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Some of the most intense albums of the turn of the 60s and 70s! Sabbath-like guitar, vocals almost like Jim Morrison - plus manic electric violin parts and a dense rhythm section. Both records are wonderful, though for some it may be too intense an experience... A stunner! -
HIGH TIDE (see also: Misunderstood / Hawkwind) - HIGH TIDE - Sea Shanties +5 - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
Remastered edition with five bonus tracks lasting as long as 35 minutes! Brilliant debut album by a British formation combining the heaviest guitar sounds of the late 60s with manic electric violin playing, heavy but juicy drumming and finally the superb, Morrison-like vocals of Tony Hill - a former member of Misunderstood. Electric violinist Simon House later played in Hawkwind and with Bowie. A must! (JL) -

A three-disc set containing recordings by a British band combining the heaviest guitar sounds of the late 60s with the manic playing of electric violin, with heavy but juicy drumming and finally with the superb, Morrison-like vocals of Tony Hill - a former Misunderstood musician. The violinist Simon House later played in Hawkwind and with David Bowie. The band recorded two superb albums, "Sea Shanties" in 1969 and "High Tide" in 1970, besides which "Complete Liberty Recordings" contains ten tracks from demos and studio recordings from 1969-1970. Everything has been newly remastered from the original master tapes. The whole thing in a rigid box, with a 36-page booklet and a poster inside. A MUST! -
HERO - HERO - Hero - AUS Progressive Line Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
An excellent, only record by an Italian band whose only album was released only in Germany. The interplay of organ and guitar dominates. If I had to make a comparison, perhaps a combination of the more economical Museo Rosenbach with old Genesis? A very good-sounding, though poor in terms of artwork, Progressive Line edition. Highly recommended! -
HERO - HERO - Hero +1 - ITA Remastered Expanded Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Excellent, the only record by an Italian band, which came out only in Germany. The interplay of organ and guitar dominates. If I had to make a comparison, perhaps a combination of the more economical Museo Rosenbach with old Genesis? Remastered 2006 edition, with one additional track ("Buzzard" in an acoustic version), in a fold-out sleeve. -
HENRY TREE - HENRY TREE - Electric Holy Man - EU Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Produced by Bob Shad, 1970's "Electric Holy Man" differed from a lot of other early-1970s Mainstream releases in that it showcased a progressive streak rather than the popsike sound that was common to the label. Moreover, for a trio these guys sported a surprisingly full sound, helped in no small measure by Markish's impressive voice. Not being a big jazz fan, I'll be among the first to admit that I was surprised at how entertaining the group's jazzy forays were. 'Mr. Fear', their Traffic cover and the extended title track showcase that interesting jazzy streak with some stunning work from un-credited jazz guitarist Bill DeArango. Mind you there was still plenty of fuzz driven guitar (check out the second half of the title track), but it didn't come close to these other highlights and the group's most commercial effort; the ballad 'Lady Of Day' was also the album's most disposable offering. -
HENRY COW (see also: Slapp Happy) - HENRY COW - Leg End - Original Mix - UK Edition - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
An experimental band led by guitarist Fred Frith. Strongly twisted music (especially on later records), created under the influence of classical composers and the work of groups such as Soft Machine and King Crimson. The debut album, from 1973, previously also appearing under the titles "The Henry Cow Legend", "Henry Cow" and "Legend". Remastered edition with the original mix. -

All the recordings have been remastered, and the whole thing comes in a rigid box, with a booklet with previously unpublished photos and interviews and a poster. Highly recommended! (MU) -
HEAVEN - HEAVEN - Brass Rock 1 +5 - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A new, limited, European edition of the only, but splendid (double in the vinyl version), album, released in 1971 by CBS, by a British band playing very dynamic, progressive rock with elements of jazz. This is probably the heaviest title from the jazz-rock (jazz-progressive) strand - with plenty of sharp, overdriven guitar parts and an exceptionally strong vocal. This album, still containing a good deal of fiery trumpeting (in the style of very early Chicago), still recalled the work of bands such as Hannibal, Galliard, Aquila and Walrus. This 80-minute CD also contains 2 recordings unreleased on the LP from a rare single from 1972 and 3 previously unreleased tracks (including 2 new compositions) played live on the legendary German programme 'Beat-Club' (1972). A must! (JL) Condition: New, sealed. -
