CHICAGO - CHICAGO - 5 Original Albums (1969 -1974) (5 CD) - UE Card Sleeve Boxprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
Elegantly presented Rhino box set containing five albums by the legendary American jazz-rock formation, released as card sleeves (mini LPs) and placed in a cardboard slipcase. The first two records are excellent and belong to the strict canon of American rock! Besides the first two albums, Chicago V, VI and VII are also included here - it is just a pity that the third studio album from 1971 has been left out! Nevertheless I recommend it very much. -

CHICAGO - CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY - Chicago Transit Authority - EU Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
The first, by far the best (read: the most rock, progressive) album in the long career of this American jazz-rock band (released still under the original name, Chicago Transit Authority), which inspired quite a few British progressive bands, such as Hannibal, Heaven, Brainchild and Walrus. The CD includes "I'm A Man" and the extended, guitar-improvisation-filled "Liberation". Two LPs on one CD. Remastered edition. A MUST! (JL) -
CHOCOLATE WATCHBAND - CHOCOLATE WATCH BAND - Inner Mystique / One Step Beyond - UK Big Beat Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR

CHURCHILLS (see also: Jericho Jones / Jericho) - CHURCHILLS - Churchills - SPA Guerssen Press - LISTENprice: 160,00 PLN / 40,00 EUR
A very nice Spanish reissue (with a gatefold insert) of an album released at the end of 1969, one of the 5 best psychedelic records made at the end of the 60s outside Europe and the USA. A splendid album - a collector's Holy Grail worth, as an excellently preserved original on the Head-Arzi label, around 5000-6000 euros! This Israeli band (with a British guitarist/leader) combined in an original way the aesthetics of British psychedelia (especially in the first part) with heavier, almost experimental sounds (side 2) with the melodies of the local folk. Unfortunately at the time almost nobody in Israel listened to such 'anarchistic' music, which is why the record sold in minimal numbers. Soon afterwards the group went to the UK and transformed into the excellent Jericho Jones and then into Jericho! A must! -
CHURLS - CHURLS - Churls / Send Me No Flowers - EU Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Two albums (from 1968-1969) by a great Canadian band that once recorded for A&M. The debut contains, among others, the superb, psychedelic "Time Piece" - a track that Bloodrock covered on their debut in 1970! A very underrated, forgotten band combining different varieties of psychedelia with a sharp guitar sound. The second, somewhat more bluesy album referenced the style of the 'first', with greater use of organ. Highly recommended! (JL) -
CIRCUS (UK) (see also: King Crimson / Camel) - CIRCUS - Circus - EU Ethelion Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A remastered European edition, released in a gatefold sleeve, of the excellent and unfortunately only album, released in 1969, by a British progressive band led by the wind player Mel Collins - soon afterwards lured away from the band by Robert Fripp to King Crimson! Typically progressive playing with jazz influences and a few short ballads. The album contains, among other things, an absolutely stunning, almost heavy-rock, 8-minute version of "Norwegian Wood" by The Beatles and a brilliant rework of a jazz classic by Charles Mingus - one of my favourite progressive tracks 'ever'! This is the best-sounding reissue of this title! A must! -
CIRCUS (UK) (see also: King Crimson / Camel) - CIRCUS - Circus +4 - EU Eclipse Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A European edition, remastered and extended by four tracks (from 1968), of the excellent and unfortunately only album, released in 1969, by a British progressive band led by the wind player Mel Collins - soon afterwards lured away from the band by Robert Fripp to King Crimson! Typically progressive playing with jazz influences and a few short ballads. The album contains, among other things, an absolutely stunning, almost heavy-rock, eight-minute version of "Norwegian Wood" by The Beatles and a brilliant rework of a jazz classic by Charles Mingus - one of my favourite progressive tracks 'ever'! This is the best-sounding CD version of this title! A must! -

A cult record, adored by fans of psychedelic rock, entirely instrumental and decidedly guitar-driven, on which clear fascinations with jazz, classical music and Indian music can be heard - especially in the endless guitar ragas. Highly recommended! (JL) -

COLLECTORS (see also: Chilliwack) - COLLECTORS - Collectors / Grass & Wild Strawberries (1968-69) - SPA Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A superb, psychedelic debut (with a 20-minute suite in the style of The Doors' "Celebration Of The Lizard") by Canadians who in 1970 changed their name to Chilliwack. Dreamy, melodic, though intense moods - at times garnished with a tasty flute part or sharp guitar... A bomb! The second album was still nice, but you could hear the inspiration of the work of Blood Sweat & Tears (brass instruments). Highly recommended! (JL) -

A sensational, double British reissue from Esoteric of the second album by the excellent British band - without doubt one of the most famous albums in the history of progressive rock - with the wonderful, 18-minute title suite. The second CD is taken up by the LP "The Grass Is Greener" (1970), once released only in the States, containing generally unreleased material with Clempson on vocals, including excellent studio versions of "Bolero", "Lost Angeles" and "Rope Ladder To The Moon". In addition, four rare tracks. A MUST! (JL) -
COOPER, ALICE - ALICE COOPER - Pretties For You / Easy Action (1969-1970) - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The very underrated, though collector-adored, first two albums by the legendary vocalist and his (at the time) heavy-psychedelic band! This was not yet the later (1972-75) hard-glam-rock of the "School's Out" kind! Both records combined what was best in rock music of the late 60s: experiments with sound; attractive-sounding, though somewhat fractured compositions and concrete, instrumental, slightly psychedelic guitar parts! Both albums were once released on the Straight label - owned by Frank Zappa! I really recommend them! -
CORPORATION - CORPORATION - Corporation - US Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
American digipak edition of the very nice third album (the first recorded for the label Capitol) by a heavy psychedelic American formation in the vein of Iron Butterfly of the "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" period - the 20-minute track "India" from the repertoire of John Coltrane. Recommended! -

COVEN - COVEN - Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls - ITA Akarma Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
An American band playing in the vein of Jefferson Airplane (female vocals) - fascinated by black magic and... well - the figure of Satan. At the end of the record is a 13-minute black mass... (JL)
