A limited, black vinyl lasting over 50 minutes, released in a beautiful, laminated sleeve and gathering exclusively Beatles compositions from 1962-1969 not included on any official record! Most of the recordings were finished and mixed ("Leave My Kitten Alone", "Come And Get It", "Not Guilty", "How Do You Do It", "That Means A Lot", "If You've Got Trouble", "Christmas Time Is Here Again", "Besame Mucho", "Love Of The Loved", "Can You Take Me Back", "Mailman Bring Me No More Blues", "What's The New Mary Jane?"), while several compositions appear in the form of excellent demo versions ("Goodbye", "Circles", "Child Of Nature", "You Know What To Do"). The vast majority of the recordings appeared on the 9 LPs/6 CDs of the "Anthology" 1-3 series, but probably for the first time all the unknown titles have been collected together, and besides, some of them are here in different mixes ("That Means A Lot" is in mono without reverb, and "12 Bar Original" is in the full, uncut and nearly 7-minute version). Finally it is worth noting the presence of the officially unpublished and unfairly overlooked "Suzy Parker" from the sessions for "Let It Be". On the back of the sleeve exhaustive information about the origin of the individual recordings has been placed! The vast majority of them were to appear on the "Sessions" record from 1984 planned by EMI (the sleeve design and the track list were already ready), but never released! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! ANALOGUE SOUND! A super rare, absolutely first Japanese edition (on dark red vinyl from Odeon) of the famous guitarist's superb second album from 1969. Great playing - undoubtedly one of the heaviest British titles of the late 60s. Rod Stewart, Ron Wood and Tony Newman (later in May Blitz) appear on the record alongside Beck. Attention! This is the best-sounding edition of this album - better than the UK and US versions, which I also have! Plus a lyric insert. Indeed, the famous bluesman appears twice on the record... This is early, bluesy progressive playing with a fair amount of flute parts (including two tracks of ten minutes each), and resembling the best achievements of Steamhammer, Jethro Tull and Cuby & The Blizzards! Additionally a track of over ten minutes from 1968 is included. A must! -

A European CD limited to 500 copies, containing an hour-long concert recorded in a small Scottish club by a later musician of the band Iron Claw. It is the earliest known show by the band, from 16 November 1969 - recorded exactly the day before the band entered the studio to create the debut album! Four tracks from this album ("Let Me Love You", "Early One Morning", "Song For Jim" and "Blue Blooded Men") did not appear on any record, while the classic "Warning" lasts 18 minutes here and contains an instrumental section not included on the studio record! The sound quality is really decent - much better than on YouTube. Not ideal, but for such a historic show by a then completely unknown band - it is hard to expect anything better! The tasteful booklet contains several very nice and very rare photos of the band, from 1969! A must! (JL) -

A new, European, limited reissue of the superb debut album by a British progressive band, released in 1969. A great record, but unfortunately underrated at the time. Almost every fan of late 60s music will find something for themselves: guitar rock, psychedelic moods with sitar, Beatles-like melodies, acoustic, folky moods and typically progressive, though not very extended, instrumental passages. The record has practically no weak points, and the opening, simply stunning "Ride With Captain Max" is worth the price of the whole thing! Plus two tracks from the band's debut single. A few months later the guitarist/leader Ralph Denyer formed the band Aquila. A MUST! (JL) -
