CD
GENTLE GIANT - GENTLE GIANT - Three Friends - US Edition - LISTENprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
The third and at the same time last great album by the band, since Octopus (the most famous and generally regarded as the flagship...) was already somewhat over-complicated... The last 3-4 minutes of this album (the end of music file number 1...) are almost the best progressive sounds I have heard in my life! Edition with the American version of the cover. A must! -

GIFT - GIFT - Blue Apple - GER Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1974, the second, more progressive (compared with the strictly heavy-rock debut) album by a German band playing strong, juicy prog rock. Highly recommended! -
CD

CD
GILGAMESH (see also: Soft Machine / National Health) - GILGAMESH - Gilgamesh - UK Esoteric Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
On CD for the first time in 30 years outside Japan! Remastered, British Esoteric edition of the very good debut album by a jazz-rock formation connected with Soft Machine and National Health. It is classic Canterbury - long compositions, complex rhythms and metres, a combination of jazz, rock and classical music. It is not an easy album to get into, but fans of bands such as Hatfield And The North, National Health and Soft Machine will be delighted! Recommended! (JL) -
CD
GILMOUR, DAVID (see also: Pink Floyd) - DAVID GILMOUR - David Gilmour - UK Remastered Editionprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Remastered edition of the first, quite nice, guitar album - unfortunately, with no extras. -
CD
GILTRAP, GORDON - GORDON GILTRAP - Fear Of The Dark +7 - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Editionprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
Could Steve Harris (the leader of Iron Maiden) have been inspired by the logo and typeface? And on top of that he later borrowed the title of this album for his own band's record of 1992? Another very good, soft-progressive, mainly instrumental album by the British guitar virtuoso - resembling a combination of early Rick Wakeman (1975-76), Camel of the second half of the 70s and the early records of the Alan Parsons Project - with elements of Old English folk. John G. Perry, Clive Bunker, as well as the somewhat forgotten gentlemen of the duo Edwards Hand took part in the recording. Excellent production. Recommended. -
CD
GINHOUSE (see also: Sammy / Kestrel) - GINHOUSE - Ginhouse - EU Once Again Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A new, remastered edition of the only, but truly excellent, album by a British trio, recorded at the famous EMI studios on Abbey Road and released in 1971. Originally issued on the B&C label, the LP contained ambitiously arranged, breathy hard-progressive music, somewhat reminiscent of a blend of T2, Master's Apprentices and the debut of Hard Meat. This still underrated album captivates with its spacious sound and warm, though decidedly rocking, atmosphere. An absolute must! (JL) -

GLASS HARP - GLASS HARP - Glass Harp +1 - SWE Flawed Gems Expanded & Remastered - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
What an excellent album! The American trio Glass Harp played in 1970-1972 very British, richly arranged (flute, occasional strings, frequent changes of mood), guitar-driven, heavyish rock - somewhat resembling a very richly arranged Wishbone Ash. The excellent guitarist Phil Keaggy has always been regarded as one of the best guitarists in the States! Catchy melodies, rich arrangements and at least 4 tracks lasting 6-8 minutes each. In addition a nearly 30-minute, heavily improvised version of the classic "Can You See Me" recorded at New York's Carnegie Hall! A MUST! -
CD
GLASS HARP - GLASS HARP - Synergy +5 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Beautiful-sounding reissue of the second album (released in 1971) by a great, American guitar formation once recording for MCA/Decca. The 'second' was practically as good as the excellent debut, though slightly gentler! As before, the band presented catchy, slightly Beatles-esque melodies, fairly rich arrangements (though the tracks were somewhat shorter than on the debut) and unforced instrumental virtuosity. In addition four superb tracks (over 25 minutes) recorded at New York's Carnegie Hall and one demo track are added! To tell the truth these superb-sounding live pieces are already a reason to have this record! In 1970-1972 the trio Glass Harp played 'almost British', richly arranged, guitar-driven, heavyish rock - strongly resembling Wishbone Ash of the fourth record period. The excellent guitarist Phil Keaggy has always been regarded as one of the best guitarists in the States! Highly recommended! -

GLENNGARD, MATS (see also: Kebnekaise) - MATS GLENNGARD - Kosterlage - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! Excellent solo album by the guitarist/violinist of the Swedish folk-progressive group Kebnekaise - recorded with the accompaniment of musicians from that band, as well as from Flasket Brinner and Jason's Fleece. This is superb, heavy-progressive, slightly folky playing - combining short, folky interludes (four tracks of 1-2 minutes each) with heavyish, intense, hippie rock (the other four tracks of 5-11 minutes) in the vein of November, Saga and Life - with excellent, improvised electric guitar and violin parts and occasional Hammond organ. This is an absolute must for all lovers of old Swedish playing! -
CD
GLI ALLUMINOGENI - GLI ALLUMINOGENI - Scolopendra - ITA Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
A band referencing the sounds of Le Orme, ELP and Rare Bird - that is, plenty of organ passages and other tricks typical of Italian prog-rock. -
CD
GNIDROLOG - GNIDROLOG - In Spite Of Harry's Toenail / Lady Lake - UK BGO Edition - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
Both albums (on a single CD from BGO) by a great, British, progressive band referencing the recordings of Van Der Graaf Generator, Jethro Tull and Genesis - especially on the second album. One of the more interesting items from the British (art-rock) progressive circle. Recommended! (JL) -
CD
GNIDROLOG - GNIDROLOG - Lady Lake +1 - UK Esoteric Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A wonderful album by a British formation, harking back to the recordings of Van Der Graaf Generator, Jethro Tull and Genesis. One of the more interesting items from the realm of British progression. Remastered Esoteric edition with one bonus track. A MUST! -
CD
GOLEM - GOLEM - Orion Awakes - US Lion Digipack Limited Edition - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
American edition of a totally forgotten album from 1976 by an enigmatic German progressive formation, reportedly a group of well-known musicians recording in their spare time at Conny Plank's studio - under pseudonyms. As for the music, it is thrilling, intense and jamming playing, a synthesis of the style of psychedelic Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Hawkwind and the krautrock formations so loved by many, such as Gila, Mythos or Agitation Free. Only five, entirely instrumental tracks and at the same time not a single weak moment! This should be a classic of the genre, only nobody had a chance to find that out! The original vinyl reportedly came out in a run of 25 copies - solely for the needs of... an art gallery - and is simply unknown. Digipak edition. An absolute must! (JL) -
CD
GOLIATH (UK Prog) - GOLIATH - Goliath - SPA Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A great album and unfortunately very underrated - even despite the fact that the vinyl was once released by CBS! Female vocals (in the style of Affinity/Room), lots of flute, nice, slightly sharp guitar, a dark and somewhat Oriental mood. A combination of the style of Fusion Orchestra, Room and Jethro Tull, with a pinch of East Of Eden. Highly recommended! -
CD
GOMORRHA - GOMORRHA - Complete Recordings 1970-1972 (2CD) - GER MIG Remastered Editionprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
A two-disc compilation containing all the albums by a German band playing heavy progressive rock with acoustic and psychedelic elements ("Gomorrha" from 1970, "Trauma" from 1971 and "I Turned To See Whose Voice It Was" from 1972). Highly recommended! -
CD
GONG (see also: Soft Machine / Daevid Allen) - GONG - Continental Circus +10 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Swedish, remastered edition of the third album in the discography (though recorded in May 1971 - at the very beginning of the sessions for the second LP Camembert Electrique), being a recording of the soundtrack, released only in France, to a film about motorcycle racing. Gong is of course the legendary, psych-progressive, French-British formation led by the eccentric Daevid Allen. In my humble opinion (at the moment) it is the best album by this band; perhaps not as sophisticated as the brilliant 'Camembert', but certainly more 'rock' and played almost entirely seriously. The catalogue record is filled almost exclusively with extended (3 times 9-11 minutes + 4 minutes of sound collage), somewhat cosmic, guitar improvisations based on a hypnotic bass line and strongly driving, though often jazzy, drumming. This is the template for how the transition from late psychedelia to early prog rock should sound! Zero synthesisers and little vocal! Among the ten bonus tracks one can find a great, though completely forgotten, very collectable (and all in all immensely important) single from 1970 and eight tracks recorded live in 1970-1973. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! -
CD

CD
GRACIOUS - GRACIOUS - Gracious +3 - GER Repertoire Expanded Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
A brilliant, slightly psychedelic, classic progressive album - always one of my very favourite titles in the whole genre!!! Remastered version in mini LP format - with three bonuses from singles. A must! (JL)
