GOLEM - Orion Awakes - US Lion Digipack Limited Edition - LISTEN

American edition of a totally forgotten album from 1976 by an enigmatic German progressive formation, reportedly a group of well-known musicians recording in their spare time at Conny Plank's studio - under pseudonyms. As for the music, it is thrilling, intense and jamming playing, a synthesis of the style of psychedelic Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Hawkwind and the krautrock formations so loved by many, such as Gila, Mythos or Agitation Free. Only five, entirely instrumental tracks and at the same time not a single weak moment! This should be a classic of the genre, only nobody had a chance to find that out! The original vinyl reportedly came out in a run of 25 copies - solely for the needs of... an art gallery - and is simply unknown. Digipak edition. An absolute must! (JL)
