KANTNER, PAUL & SLICK, GRACE (see also: Jefferson Airplane) - KANTNER, SLICK & FREIBERG - Baron von Tollbooth & The Chrome Num - UK BGO - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
Released in 1973, the third part of the so-called space trilogy. Besides the core of Paul Kantner, Grace Slick and David Freiberg, other members of Jefferson Airplane also took part in the recording: John Barbata, Jack Casady, Papa John Creach and Jorma Kaukonen, as well as David Crosby, Jerry Garcia, Mickey Hart, the group Pointer Sisters and Craig Chaquico (the future guitarist of Jefferson Starship). REVIEW FROM THE INTERNET: 'Baron von Tollbooth and the Chrome Nun' is a very mature well produced yet a daring album that continues the Kantner space theme. Sharing the bill with Kantner and Slick is old folkie friend David Freiberg. They are joined by a group that reads like a who's who of the San Francisco psychedelic scene: drummers John Barbata (formerly of CSN&Y) and Mickey Hart (loaned out from the Grateful Dead), Jorma Kaukonen, legendary bassist Jack Casady, violinist Papa John Creech, the Pointer Sisters, David Crosby, Jack Traylor (a fellow psychedelic space rocker) and even Jerry Garcia himself. The entire album has a polished sound that has somewhat mystical theme layered on top of Kantner's visions of life in space. -

KLUBS (see also: Strife) - KLUBS - Midnight Love Cycle (1967-69) - UK Wooden Hill - LISTENprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
The British magazine Record Collector (once the collectors' Bible) classed the vinyl version of this CD as a 1999 REISSUE OF THE YEAR! The Klubs played heavyish, psychedelic rock in the style of Skip Bifferty and the Pretty Things. The CD version contains mainly material from 1968 (and one track each from 1967 and 1969) and as a bonus 3 tracks from 1972 (including one by Strife) and 5 from a concert in 2000. In 1972 the guitarist founded the aforementioned heavy rock band Strife. Sizeable booklet! Recommended! -
KOOBAS (see also: Van der Graaf Generator) - KOOBAS - Koobas +5 - UK BGO Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
A legend of British psychedelic rock, whose only album on vinyl fetches staggering prices (even up to 4000 euros). Recorded back in 1968 and originally released in January 1969 by EMI Columbia, the material contained a mixture of the style of freakbeat, psychedelia and early prog-rock, that is, Beatles, Cream, July and The Moody Blues. A typical English record combining different sounds... Among the extras are single recordings - including the superb "First Cut Is The Deepest" (known, among others, from the "Nuggets Vol. 2" box set). Highly recommended! -
KRISTYL - KRISTYL - Kristyl - US Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The only, decidedly guitar, at moments progressive album, once released for a micro-label by a completely forgotten American band. The original vinyl fetches over 2000 euros! Highly recommended! (JL) -
LEE, ARTHUR (see also: Love) - ARTHUR LEE - Vindicator +5 - UK BGO Expanded Editionprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
A long-awaited reissue of the debut album by the leader (vocalist/guitarist) of the group Love - in the vein of Jimi Hendrix's work! The overdriven guitar rules! Recommended! -
LIQUID SMOKE - LIQUID SMOKE - Liquid Smoke - US Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The only album by this American group came out in 1969 on the small label AVCO Embassy and contained nine tracks in the style of heavyish, bluesy psychedelic rock with organ and rich vocal harmonies in the vein of Vanilla Fudge, Iron Butterfly and Surprise Package. Recommended! (JL) -
LISTENING - LISTENING - Listening - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A superb, psychedelic album released by the collectors' label Vanguard Records in 1968. Without a doubt one of the best, forgotten, American titles! Dark, fairly slow playing based on the interplay of guitar and heavy Hammonds dominates. Highly recommended! -
LITTER - LITTER - 100$ Fine +19 - US Arf! Arf! Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
The absolute canon of American psychedelic playing in the vein of The Doors/Blue Cheer. The album includes several nice covers (among them Procol Harum's "Kaleidoscope" and a much extended "She's Not There" by the Zombies). The only flaw of this CD is the poor bonuses - the band merely accompanied some vocalist. Highly recommended! (JL) -
LIVING DAYLIGHTS (see also: Greatest Show On Earth / Leon Paul-Phillips / Fuzzy Duck) - LIVING DAYLIGHTS - Let's Live For Today - Complete Recordings - UK Grapefruit Expanded MONO + STEREO Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
The first-ever release of an album by a cult psychedelic band, led by Garth Watt-Roy (among others Greatest Show On Earth, Fuzzy Duck, Steamhammer, as well as a solo record under the pseudonym Leon Paul-Phillips) and his younger brother, Norman (Greatest Show On Earth, Ian Dury & The Blockheads). Unfortunately the release of the record depended on the success of the first two singles, and these did not "conquer" the charts. It has finally been achieved now, and the British, American and Japanese singles have been added to the mono and stereo versions. Highly recommended! (MU) -
LOLLIPOP SHOPPE - LOLLIPOP SHOPPE - Just Colour - EU Walhalla Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR

LOVE - LOVE - Live In England 1970 - FRA On The Air Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
An 80-minute, superb, limited CD by the legendary American band, containing excerpts from several concerts (of excellent sound quality) from February and March 1970, from the British tour that took place just after the release of the decidedly rock, psychedelic albums "Four Sail" and "Out There". A superb combination of melodic psychedelia with Hendrix-like, powerful playing for two guitars and an excellent rhythm section. This was a different, much more rock-oriented Love than the line-up of 1965-1968. The sound quality is perfect! A must! (JL) -
LOVE - LOVE - Da Capo - EU Music On CD Editionprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A great second album by the band, containing the charming "Stephanie Knows Who", the absolutely brilliant dynamite of "7 And 7 Is" (it's on "Nuggets I") and "Revelation", which takes up the whole second side of the vinyl. (JL) -
LOVE - LOVE - Forever Changes +7 - GER Rhino Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
In my opinion Love's third album is one of the five best albums in the history of American rock - full of genuinely beautiful and moving songs (a bit like Buffalo Springfield's "Again" combined with The Byrds' "Younger Than Yesterday" and The Moody Blues' "In Search Of The Lost Chord"); charming with its sophisticated instrumentation (the occasional strings, trumpets, classical guitars) and Arthur Lee's wonderful, almost angelic vocals - all of it served up in a delicate psychedelic sauce. For autumn 1967 it was almost a world record in 'progressive' playing, and today it is, for me, one of the 20 greatest albums of all time! Remastered edition with seven bonus tracks. A must! (JL) -
MAGIC - MAGIC - Enclosed - US Gear Fab Card Sleeve Edition - LISTEN - LAST COPYprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
The debut album by an American band referencing the style of Led Zeppelin and the Allman Brothers Band (two guitars). I especially recommend the great, extended track "Play"... (JL) -
MAGIC MIXTURE - MAGIC MIXTURE - This Is The Magic Mixture - UK Morgan Blue Town Edition - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
A British reissue of an excellent psychedelic classic (with echoes of freakbeat and pop and with an occasional Hammond) resembling the work of July, Skip Bifferty, Pussy and Attack. It is a top-shelf album! -

MAN - MAN – Live at Rockpalast 1975 (CD+DVD) - MIG Music Editionprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
The album documents one of the best periods of activity of the Welsh band Man, when the band was famous for long, freely developing live improvisations. Remastered, the included DVD lets you see the whole concert in very good picture and sound quality. -
MASTER'S APPRENTICES - MASTER'S APPRENTICES - Master's Apprentices (1st Album) +27 (2CD) - Aztec Music Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
The band's legendary debut album, released in 1967, is great freakbeat in the style of the then The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and The Creation, and tracks such as 'Undecided', 'Buried And Dead' or 'War Or Hands Of Time' are timeless, brilliant classics! The first CD contains the original LP from 1967, five single bonus tracks and an alternative version of "I Feel Fine", while the second - the complete demo recordings from August 1966 and 16 recordings from garage rehearsals from April and August 1966, previously unreleased. A must for fans of the genre! New, sealed. -
MATADORS (see also: Blue Effect) - MATADORS - Get Down From The Tree - Complete Recordings 1966-1968 - SPA Munster Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
This very tastefully presented (extensive history of this Czech band, plenty of photos), 80-minute, Spanish CD contains 24 tracks (sung in English): 12 tracks from the classic pop-psych-blues album known in our country (including the sensational, 6-minute, painfully psychedelic Extraction) and another twelve tracks from singles and Czech compilations. The track opening the record, "Get Down From The Tree", had the honour of appearing in excellent company on the compilation box set "Nuggets II" (Rhino). Guitarist Radim Hladik and vocalist Waldemar Misik founded the excellent Blue Effect right afterwards! A compilation CD by the group Olympic came out in the same series. Highly recommended! (JL) -
MC5 - MC5 - Kick Out The Jams - EU Edition - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A classic of American rock. Recorded live, the best album by this group. A combination of garage hard-rock with somewhat "cosmic" psychedelia. -
MC5 - MC5 - Thunder Express - EU Jungle Records Edition - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
A compilation containing the band's earliest (four tracks from the debut singles from 1967 and 1968) and last studio recordings (six tracks recorded in France at the Castle Herouville studio, in 1972).
