C.A. QUINTET - C.A. QUINTET - Trip Thru Hell +11 - US Sundazed Expanded Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
A classic, very dark title regarded by many as the BEST UNKNOWN record in the history of American psychedelia!!! An album inspired to some extent by the work of The Doors, it is an object of longing for nearly all vinyl collectors, fetching as much as 3000 dollars in perfect condition! Particularly striking is the instrumental, 12-minute title track - a true "trip through hell"... 2023 reissue, in a three-panel gatefold sleeve, with eleven additional tracks. Highly recommended! CASE - CASE - Blackwood - US Lion Editionprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Recorded in 1971, but sounding as if it were made in 1967-68, the only album by an amateur American formation, of which the ONLY copy was once found by chance in a bargain bin. It is a combination of guitar-driven (undistorted), garage psychedelia with rock ballad and blues. The recording quality is good (that is, average), but typical of college groups (muffled sound with hiss). This is a record for fans of the genre. (JL) -

CHAMBERS BROTHERS - CHAMBERS BROTHERS - Time Has Come +4 - GER Repertoire Expanded Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
Chambers Brothers is an American band playing a combination of rock, soul, rhythm'n'blues and guitar psychedelia. Released in 1967 on a very popular, cult single (especially among American soldiers fighting in the Vietnam War), the title track appears on the album in a superb, eleven-minute version, ahead of its time. The album belongs to the strict canon of psychedelic rock. Reissue in a digipak, with four additional tracks. A must! -

CHIMERA (see also: Pink Floyd / Ashkan) - Chimera - UK Wooden Hill - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
Half produced by Nick Mason (the Pink Floyd drummer appeared on one track, and keyboardist Rick Wright on 5), this folk-psych-rock album, unreleased in its day (planned by the label Morgan Blue Town for mid-1970 and put out by Tenth Planet in 2002), without a doubt deserves special attention! Alongside two female vocalists the band featured Bob Weston (ex-Black Cat Bones and Ashkan) and bassist Nick South (ex-Second Hand). The result is quite a varied album that will appeal both to fans of folky, baroque sounds in the vein of Pentangle and Donovan, and to fans of decidedly progressive, heavy-bluesy moods (almost without the blues...). It is a pity I did not come across this material while writing the book Brytyjski Rock... Plus 8 demo tracks. Highly recommended! -
CHOCOLATE WATCHBAND - CHOCOLATE WATCH BAND - Inner Mystique / One Step Beyond - UK Big Beat Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
The second and third albums on one CD, by one of the best bands in the history of American psychedelic/garage rock. -
CHURLS - CHURLS - Churls / Send Me No Flowers - EU Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Two albums (from 1968-1969) by a great Canadian band that once recorded for A&M. The debut contains, among others, the superb, psychedelic "Time Piece" - a track that Bloodrock covered on their debut in 1970! A very underrated, forgotten band combining different varieties of psychedelia with a sharp guitar sound. The second, somewhat more bluesy album referenced the style of the 'first', with greater use of organ. Highly recommended! (JL) -
CLEAR LIGHT (USA) (see also: Crosby, Stills & Nash) - CLEAR LIGHT - Clear Light +8 - UK Big Beat Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
A very good, indeed classic album once released by Elektra. Dynamic, psychedelic playing with an emphasis on guitar parts, the rhythm section (they played two drum kits) and charming, unforced melody - something like a slightly harder Love of the "Forever Changes" period. The vocalist Cliff De Young later became a well-known actor. A British edition with eight additional tracks. Highly recommended! -
COLLECTORS (see also: Chilliwack) - COLLECTORS - Collectors / Grass & Wild Strawberries (1968-69) - SPA Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A superb, psychedelic debut (with a 20-minute suite in the style of The Doors' "Celebration Of The Lizard") by Canadians who in 1970 changed their name to Chilliwack. Dreamy, melodic, though intense moods - at times garnished with a tasty flute part or sharp guitar... A bomb! The second album was still nice, but you could hear the inspiration of the work of Blood Sweat & Tears (brass instruments). Highly recommended! (JL) -
COLLECTORS (see also: Chilliwack) - COLLECTORS - Collectors - EU Music On CD Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN 50,00 PLN / 12,50 EUR
An excellent debut by a Canadian band - reminiscent of the early work of The Doors and Iron Butterfly. The second side of the record was filled by a 20-minute psychedelic suite. 2023 reissue. Highly recommended! (JL) -
COMPLEX - COMPLEX - Live For The Minute - The Complex Anthology (3CD) - UK Grapefruit Editionprice: 125,00 PLN / 31,25 EUR
The first-ever anthology of the group from Blackpool, who self-released one of the rarest and most expensive albums in the world. In 1970 the quartet pressed 99 copies (to avoid tax) of their debut album, whose sleeve, owing to a production flaw, was slightly smaller than the record. In 1971 the group recorded a second album, "The Way We Feel", released in August of that year by the Deroy label, again in 99 copies. The third CD contains five tracks from an acetate recorded in 1972, as well as the single "Who Got The Love / She Turns Me On" from 1976 and previously unreleased recordings from 1973-1978. The discs come in sleeves slipped into a cardboard slipcase, together with a 24-page booklet containing, among other things, the history of the group. Highly recommended! (MU) -

CORPORATION - CORPORATION - Corporation - US Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
American digipak edition of the very nice third album (the first recorded for the label Capitol) by a heavy psychedelic American formation in the vein of Iron Butterfly of the "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" period - the 20-minute track "India" from the repertoire of John Coltrane. Recommended! -
CORPORATION - CORPORATION - Get On The Swing / Hassels In My Mind - US Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The first two albums (from 1967 and 1968) by the American band responsible for the superb "Corporation" (Capitol, 1969). -
COUNTRY JOE & THE FISH - COUNTRY JOE & THE FISH - Electric Music For Mind And Body - UK Vanguard Edition - LISTENprice: 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
British remastered edition of a fantastic, psychedelic, strongly mystical and at the same time decidedly rock debut - one of the best records of 1967. Highly recommended! -
COUNTRY JOE & THE FISH - COUNTRY JOE & THE FISH - I Feel Like I'm Fixin To Die - UK Vanguard Edition - LISTENprice: 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
The first two records belong to the very canon of American psychedelia. Great variety - from acoustic moods to Eastern-inspired, narcotic landscapes in the vein of The Doors' "The End". British remastered CD. -
COUNTRY JOE & THE FISH - COUNTRY JOE & THE FISH - Together - UK Vanguard Edition - LISTENprice: 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
The third, very good record by the American psychedelic band, from 1969. -
COVEN - COVEN - Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls - ITA Akarma Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
An American band playing in the vein of Jefferson Airplane (female vocals) - fascinated by black magic and... well - the figure of Satan. At the end of the record is a 13-minute black mass... (JL) -
CRABBY APPLETON (see also: Millennium) - CRABBY APPLETON - Crabby Appleton - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released by Elektra in 1970, the first (of two), truly excellent album by an American band playing melodic, catchy but dynamic hard rock (with elements of ambitious pop and early progressive rock) using organs. The opening "Go Back" has a fantastic kick, and the whole thing appeals to almost anyone who values playing from 1969-1970! Strangely the album did not sell very well, and the second LP was already much weaker. Vocalist/guitarist Michael Fennelly had earlier appeared on the Millennium record. Remastered and, importantly, excellent-sounding edition. Highly recommended!
