THIN LIZZY - THIN LIZZY - Shades Of A Blue Orphanage +9 - UK Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Beautifully presented, remastered edition of the second album by Lynott's formation, expanded with nine tracks (singles, other mixes and four great tracks from the BBC). It was decidedly progressive playing that in its own way combined the style of heavy rock with elements of folk and ballad. The album did not sell at all at the time (which is hardly surprising, as that was the norm then for little-known bands), but soon afterwards the situation changed for the better thanks to "Whiskey In The Jar" (here in a nearly 6-minute version). Highly recommended! (JL) -

THIN LIZZY - THIN LIZZY - Still Dangerous - Live At The Tower Theatre Philadelphia - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
This CD needs no advertising! A previously unreleased 48-minute recording of one of the concerts of the tour during which the classic LP Live And Dangerous was made. Excellent sound quality (slightly better than on LAD) and 3 tracks that were not on the classic live album. A must! -

THREE MAN ARMY (see also: Gun / Baker Gurvitz Army) - THREE MAN ARMY - Mahesha - AUS Progressive Line Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The discography of this great hard-rock band is thoroughly tangled... In any case this is the second catalogue album - released on LP in Germany in 1972 (and in the States in 1973 under the title "Three Man Army"). "Mahesha" is full of captivating, heavy guitar playing - like the underrated debut. Highly recommended! So the CD "Two", recorded in 1974, was the third album!!! And the recently released "3", containing archive recordings, should be called "4"... Recommended! -

THREE MAN ARMY (see also: Gun / Baker Gurvitz Army) - THREE MAN ARMY - A Third Of A Lifetime +2 - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A British, remastered edition of the sensational hard rock masterpiece from 1971. Three Man Army is simply the old and much improved band The Gun under a new name - an English group founded by the Gurvitz brothers and a Spooky Tooth drummer. Hendrix's drummer, Buddy Miles, also guested on the debut album. Filled with juicy, guitar-driven thrashing (with occasional gentler passages) à la Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk and Captain Beyond, the record has no weak points and I have been listening to it regularly for over 25 years. An absolute must! (JL) -

THUNDER AND ROSES - THUNDER AND ROSES - King Of The Black Sunrise - SPA Out-Sider Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Released in 1969 (by United Artists), the only album by a little-known American power trio combining elements of heavy, guitar-driven rock with late psychedelia and a pinch of blues - something in the vein of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream, Power Of Zeus and Third Power! Besides their own thrilling compositions, the band also presented their version of Hendrix's "Red House". The first track on the record gave its name to a very nice compilation... Every fan of heavy sounds will be delighted with this album! A must! -

THUNDERMUG - THUNDERMUG - Strikes (Canadian Album Version) - SWE Flawed Gems Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! The debut album of this Canadian formation, released in 1972, is very energetic and generally genuinely heavy rock, full of massive guitar riffs, juicy drumming but also catchy melodies sung in harmony. This is an example of a record on which the commercial aspect is combined with grubby rock in an almost perfect way. I know what I am writing, because I have known the album for years and have listened to it dozens of times. In the States the LP "Strikes" came out a year later (on Epic Records), but it was a compilation of tracks from the first two LPs, whereas the Swedish CD contains the material from the original Canadian debut. It is worth mentioning that Terry Brown - producer of all the classic albums by Rush - worked on the record! Highly recommended! -
CD
TOAD - TOAD - Toad +7 - EU Once Again Expanded Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A new, limited, European edition of an absolute classic of heavy rock from the early 70s! Released in 1971, the debut album by a splendid Swiss-Italian band contained very heavy, at times bluesy rock inspired by the work of Hendrix and Cream, but following in the footsteps of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath (and Budgie - whom they certainly did not know). The whole was served up without any compromises, decisively and with plenty of improvised and truly stunning guitar parts by Vic Vergat. The album was recorded in the same studio as "Deep Purple In Rock"... Additionally 7 recordings are included - two from the debut single, and also 5 tracks recorded at the Swiss EMI studios back in 1970 - a few months before the recording of the debut album. Years later these recordings were released on the long-deleted CD/LP "B.U.F.O.". The second, somewhat more 'progressive' album 'Tomorrow Blue', released in 1972, was also excellent! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -

TOE FAT (see also: Uriah Heep / Ken Hensley / Gods) - TOE FAT - BBC Sessions 1969-1970 - FRA On The Air Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Recorded between summer 1969 and autumn 1970, never released on CD (only on ultra-rare BBC radio promotional vinyls), genuinely fantastic material by a hard rock formation led initially by vocalist Cliff Bennett and guitarist Ken Hensley. The band also featured drummer Lee Kerslake (ex-The Gods - later for 35 years in Uriah Heep). Several tracks (covers) never appeared on the main records, while the rest are here in much better and heavier versions! To tell the truth, this is the kind of guitar playing (the excellent Alan Kendall - later for many years in the band... Bee Gees) that totally drops your jaw! On the 1970 recordings the band reaches the level of Led Zeppelin's best work! Alongside 50 minutes from the BBC sessions (all in perfect quality) four bootleg, live recordings of rather poor quality (including two unknown compositions) are included and - attention - the debut single from 1967 (made by Polydor Records) by the group The Gods (Ken Hensley and Lee Kerslake + a very young Mick Taylor), unreleased on CD - worth almost a thousand euros on vinyl! This is an absolute must! -

TONGUE - TONGUE - Keep On Truckin' - US Gear Fab Edition - LAST COPYprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
The CD bears the date 1969, although other sources (e.g. the book "Acid Archives") generally give 1972 as the year of release... Admittedly the only album by this American group sounds like 1969-1970, but I lean towards the later date. Either way, it is nice, rather hard rock playing with organ (and great guitar entries) and with the influences of American folk rock - somewhat reminiscent of a gentler Bloodrock with a pinch of Neil Young. The album is a little uneven, but certainly worth recommending! (JL) -

TOO MUCH (see also: Helpful Soul / Gedo) - TOO MUCH - Too Much - GER Black Rose Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Another great band from Japan! The album, released in 1971 by Japanese Atlantic, half resembles Blues Creation from the second album, that is, heavy, slightly bluesy playing full of attractive guitar riffs. The music is very clear, and the heavier moods are interwoven with calmer, at times even more art-rock passages (for example the 12-minute final track). The original vinyl costs nearly 2000 euros! Highly recommended! (JL) -

TRAPEZE (see also: Deep Purple/Whitesnake/Judas Priest) - TRAPEZE - Midnight Flyers Complete Recordings Volume Two 1974-1981 (5CD BOX) - UK Purple Records Remastered Editionprice: 190,00 PLN 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
The second part of the collection of the band's studio and live albums, this time those recorded after Glenn Hughes left for Deep Purple. His vocal duties were taken over by the guitarist Mel Galley, and he and the drummer Dave Holland were joined by the bassist Pete Wright and the second guitarist Rob Kendrick. This line-up produced the studio albums "Hot Wire" from 1974 and "Trapeze" from 1975, on which Hughes sang as a guest on two tracks. On the next record, "Hold On" from 1979, Kendrick's place was taken by Pete Goalby (later in Uriah Heep), who in turn took over from Galley the role of lead vocalist. Terry Rowley also joined on keyboards. Right after the album's release, Dave Holland left for Judas Priest, and was replaced by Steve Bray. This line-up appears on CD5, which is a recording of concerts in Texas, in May 1981. The other two discs are also live albums: "Live At The Boat Club", from Nottingham, from 13 September 1975 (with the line-up: Galley, Kendrick, Wright, Holland, Rowley) and "Live At Arlington, Texas", from the Texas Hall Auditorium in Arlington, from 12 September 1976, when the band returned with the line-up: Hughes, Galley, Holland. A six-disc set containing: the first three studio albums ("Trapeze" and "Medusa" from 1970, "You Are The Music… We're Just The Band" from 1972), a previously unreleased recording of a performance at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas, 27 April 1973 (CD4 and 5) and "Welcome To The Real World - Live", recorded during a brief reunion of the original line-up (additionally with Geoff Downes on keyboards), on 16 May 1992. TRAPEZE (see also: Deep Purple/Whitesnake/Judas Priest) - TRAPEZE - Medusa (3CD) - UK Purple Records Expanded Digipack Editionprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
A three-disc British edition of the hard-rock classic released in 1970, the second in the discography of this British band. The band played heavily and with flair here, and the album itself, alongside Purple's "Burn", remains the best item in Glenn Hughes's career. Highly recommended! The additional discs contain bonus tracks from a single and a recording of previously unpublished live material from 23 March 1971 at Colden Hall in New York and from various performances during the tour of the USA, from the same year. -

TRUST (see also: Iron Maiden) - TRUST - Repression - EU Edition - LISTENprice: 50,00 PLN / 12,50 EUR
An absolutely classic hard-rock album - containing, among others, the original version of "Antisocial" - known from the Anthrax cover. On the next album Nicko McBrain played drums. -

TUCKY BUZZARD (see also: End / Fuzzy Duck) - TUCKY BUZZARD - Coming On Again (1971 Spanish Album) - SWE Flawed Gems - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On a single CD for the first time! This fantastic and in my opinion without a doubt the best album in the career of this British hard rock formation was recorded at the end of 1970 and released only in Spain, at the beginning of 1971 - just before the LP "Tucky Buzzard" (from May 1971) made by American Capitol. That this is the band's true debut is shown by the fact that Paul Francis drummed only on this album - from spring 1971 already the drummer of the group Fuzzy Duck! In any case, this album, recorded with the (small) help of a symphony orchestra, without a doubt has a more progressive character than the subsequent records; you can hear perfectly that it is 1970, and the music itself is downright sensational! In addition, a rare track from the B-side of a Spanish single released by the band under a changed name is included. A genuine rock classic! A MUST! -
CD
TUCKY BUZZARD (see also: End / Fuzzy Duck) - TUCKY BUZZARD - Tucky Buzzard / Warm Slash - GER Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A British band that rose from the ashes of the psychedelic group The End. The LP "Tucky Buzzard" (1970) is excellent, classic hard-rock with organ, in the style of Free, Bloodrock, Fuzzy Duck and a bit of Led Zeppelin - but still with clear influences of psychedelia. The first track even later appeared on a Fuzzy Duck album! The second record (or third, counting the Spanish album from 1971) "Warm Slash" (1971) is typical British hard-rock in the style of Led Zeppelin, Humble Pie, Free and the Rolling Stones of the time. Both albums were produced by Bill Wyman - who appears on the back of the case in the middle of a certain physiological activity... Great sound! Highly recommended! -
CD
TWENTY SIXTY SIX AND THEN (see also: Kin Ping Meh) - TWENTY SIXTY SIX AND THEN - Reflections On The Future +4 - EU Eclipse Remastered Expanded - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
FOR THE FIRST TIME ON CD AS ON THE ORIGINAL VINYL EDITION, WITH FIVE TRACKS - TWO COMPOSITIONS IN THEIR ORIGINAL VERSIONS! The previous two CD versions (Second Battle and Prog Temple) did not include the 1st and 5th tracks from the original record! Now there is the complete set + four great bonus tracks known from earlier CDs. As for the music... It is probably the best German record from the circle of heavy, progressive rock and one of the best in the history of heavy, progressive playing! Released in 1972 by German United Artists, the album is a mega-dynamic and fantastically produced combination of the style of Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Out Of Focus (without the horns) and Beggars Opera - with a strong and very thoroughbred, British vocal. Wonderful, strong sound, plenty of organ passages, sharp guitar solos, plenty of flute, lots of changes of rhythm - simply sensational! Two tracks from the original LP have been REPLACED here with alternative (perfectly performed), longer versions from another session; besides that, two bonus tracks are included - including the superb, 13-minute "Spring". This title had been released earlier in 1991 (in a paper digipak) by German Second Battle as "Reflections". Excellent sound and nice artwork! An absolute must! (JL)
