BLONDE ON BLONDE - Contrasts +2 - EU Magic Potion Expanded Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RARE

A new, European, limited reissue of the superb debut album by a British progressive band, released in 1969. A great record, but unfortunately underrated at the time. Almost every fan of late 60s music will find something for themselves: guitar rock, psychedelic moods with sitar, Beatles-like melodies, acoustic, folky moods and typically progressive, though not very extended, instrumental passages. The record has practically no weak points, and the opening, simply stunning "Ride With Captain Max" is worth the price of the whole thing! Plus two tracks from the band's debut single. A few months later the guitarist/leader Ralph Denyer formed the band Aquila. A MUST! (JL)
