Limited to 500 copies, a 55-minute black vinyl released in a very attractive, laminated sleeve with nice early photos of the band. The album contains rare, hard-to-find, single, radio or compilation recordings by the band made between December 1978 and April 1980 - just before the release of the debut album! I am from the old school, which values the vocalist Paul Di'Anno more than (otherwise excellent) Bruce Dickinson, and the first two albums will never be beaten by the later titles... Of course the greatest value lies in the tracks from the title, legendary EP "Soundhouse Tapes" (along with the bonus track "Strange World" from the same session) - released privately in 1979 by the band on its own label Rock Hard in a run of 5000 copies and today in perfect condition worth about 2500 euros. In addition plenty of superb recordings have been included, for example the full studio session for BBC radio from November 1979, both tracks from the compilation "Metal For Muthas", the very rare demo version of "Running Free" - known from the German EMI single of 1980. An attractive bonus, not released (like the BBC session) on any official vinyl, is the live version of "Running Free" from the TV programme 'Top Of The Pops' (February 1980) - here in excellent quality. Overall the record sounds wonderful and is a fantastic complement to the band's first two titles! A must! NEW, but not shrink-wrapped. -

In my opinion this is the best concert of Iron Maiden's career! I am from the old school, which values Paul Di'Anno more than Bruce Dickinson, and the first two albums will never be beaten by later titles... The CD, limited to 500 copies, contains a recording of the full performance that took place in Tokyo in May 1981 during the tour promoting the band's second LP, "Killers". During this short, Japanese tour Japanese EMI recorded several concerts (the band played 2 shows a day), of which only this Tokyo (evening) one fortunately reached fans a few years ago (what is more in EXCELLENT QUALITY), professionally mixed and... as if ready for release! Only in 2-3 announcements can you hear slight hiss, mild interference. And since only 5 tracks from the concert in Nagoya (recorded the day before) appeared in summer 1981 on the official maxi single 'Maiden Japan' (EMI) - it is certainly a great treat for fans of old Maiden and the NWOBHM!. So this 80-minute, slightly improved (compared with the earlier version) CD contains very dynamic, yet spacious performances of almost all the tracks from the first two Iron Maiden albums and as a bonus - an excellent Prowler (from the afternoon performance) - unfortunately here in average quality - recorded by someone from the audience. The CD has been adorned with a very rare cover (rejected by EMI as too drastic) showing Eddie holding a severed head... of Paul Di' Anno (who had just left the band) - known only from the Venezuelan edition of 'Maiden Japan' from 1987, worth 600-700 dollars...! Besides that, the booklet contains several nice photos from the Japanese tour. It is an excellent complement to the CD 'Live In New York 1982' released earlier by the Spaniards! An absolute must! An absolutely cult and at the same time sensational album, the only one in the output of a heavy-psychedelic band fascinated by one of the tracks by Eric Burdon & The Animals (from the LP "Winds Of Change")... A sensational combination of heavy guitar sounds with organ passages à la The Doors. The highlights here are two epic, extended tracks of nearly 10 minutes each, though the rest of the recordings are great too! A 2025 remastered edition. Highly recommended! (JL) -

Remastered and excellent-sounding (better than the Sundazed CD) edition of one of literally a handful of the best (and most expensive - over 1000 dollars for perfect condition...) albums of heavy playing made at the turn of the sixth and seventh decades in the States! Fantastic, slightly bluesy, overdriven guitar playing, a solid, strong vocal, a massive rhythm section, nice, catchy compositions, and of course the title, over 17-minute powerhouse - a slow, pulsating chunk of guitar-driven, psychedelic heavy rock. In addition seven tracks from December 1969 - from a slightly earlier session. This is American rock classics of the top shelf. The track "Crazy Man" recently appeared in the closing credits of the last episode of the much-talked-about series "Narcos" and a buzz has arisen around the band... A MUST! -

Released in an attractive sleeve (inside which there is a nice, unique, large photo from a concert in 1977), a single, LIMITED European CD, containing an excellent-sounding (radio broadcast + two very good audience recordings) hour-long performance, recorded in July 1978, during the Japanese tour promoting the brilliant fourth album "Stained Class" (with drummer Les Binks). After this album the band abandoned its progressive touches, and Rob Halford began to sing somewhat harder than before... A splendid set of recordings (including a 13-minute, improvised version of "Genocide") with a very good, clear sound. NOTE! Additionally included are three recordings from Japan ("Delivering The Goods", "Evil Fantasies" and "Beyond The Realms Of Death"), recorded a year later for the classic live album "Unleashed In The East - Live In Japan" and released only on British singles. The biggest attraction is the absolutely brilliant version of "Beyond The Realms Of Death"! (1979), never released on CD. A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -

Karthago is a German rock band founded in 1971 in West Berlin, in whose music one can look for comparisons above all to Nektar, Birth Control, Guru Guru and at times Frumpy. In the heavier passages one can also hear the influence of Deep Purple, while the extended instrumental and keyboard parts may bring to mind Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Uriah Heep. The album originally came out in 1976 on Bacillus/Bellaphon as a double LP. This MIG edition contains the full material from the live album, the recordings were made in Hamburg and at the "Roxy Palast" in Berlin; the material has been digitally remastered. -

A very nice, 60-minute concert by the band, released in a superb, laminated sleeve, recorded in Sydney, Australia in October 1980, on the tour promoting the LP "Unmasked". It was Kiss's first tour without the drummer Peter Criss, and already with Eric Carr. The black vinyl contains fifteen recordings, including such rarities as "2000 Man" from the Rolling Stones repertoire, "New York Groove" from Ace Frehley's solo record (a cover of the band Hello), as well as "Shandi, Is That You?", "Talk To Me" and "I Was Made For Loving You". Besides this, classics such as "Love Gun", "Detroit Rock City" or "Rock 'n' Roll All Nite". The sound quality is almost perfect, as it was recorded by the band's crew! A must! Released in a very attractive sleeve, a superb, 72-minute Spanish CD containing the full, nearly hour-long concert by the band recorded in January 1975 at the Winterland venue in San Francisco, on the tour promoting their second LP "Hotter Than Hell", during which the legendary "Alive!" was also recorded. The sound quality is almost perfect, as the whole thing was recorded by the famous promoter Bill Graham (who owned the Winterland venue). Additionally four excellent recordings from the same year are included. Classic hard rock rarely got better than Kiss's performance in 1975! A must! (JL) -
