JETHRO TULL - Songs From The Vault 1975–1978 (2LP) - GER Chrysalis Edition

An exceptional compilation of archival recordings by Jethro Tull, covering pieces created during the sessions for the albums Minstrel in the Gallery, Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die!, Songs from the Wood and Heavy Horses. The set includes rarities, early versions of well-known compositions and pieces that for years remained in the archives, and many of them appeared on vinyl for the first time. The material shows the wealth of ideas of Ian Anderson and the band and the creative process behind some of the most important albums of the second half of the seventies. Steven Wilson's new mixes bring out the details of the instrumentation, while retaining the natural, analogue sound characteristic of the era, and the whole gives the impression of a coherent album rather than a random set of archival items.
