This is the debut album, from 1972, of the Yugoslav group Time – one of the most important progressive rock bands in the region. The sound is extended and ambitious – long compositions, changing tempos, Hammond organ parts and the expressive vocal of the band's leader, who was Dado Topić. Time were often compared to Western prog rock groups of the early 70s, such as Deep Purple or Blood, Sweat & Tears (although they retained their own, Balkan character). An anniversary edition, new and sealed. -

A new, limited, European edition of an absolute classic of heavy rock from the early 70s! Released in 1971, the debut album by a splendid Swiss-Italian band contained very heavy, at times bluesy rock inspired by the work of Hendrix and Cream, but following in the footsteps of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath (and Budgie - whom they certainly did not know). The whole was served up without any compromises, decisively and with plenty of improvised and truly stunning guitar parts by Vic Vergat. The album was recorded in the same studio as "Deep Purple In Rock"... Additionally 7 recordings are included - two from the debut single, and also 5 tracks recorded at the Swiss EMI studios back in 1970 - a few months before the recording of the debut album. Years later these recordings were released on the long-deleted CD/LP "B.U.F.O.". The second, somewhat more 'progressive' album 'Tomorrow Blue', released in 1972, was also excellent! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Recorded between summer 1969 and autumn 1970, never released on CD (only on ultra-rare BBC radio promotional vinyls), genuinely fantastic material by a hard rock formation led initially by vocalist Cliff Bennett and guitarist Ken Hensley. The band also featured drummer Lee Kerslake (ex-The Gods - later for 35 years in Uriah Heep). Several tracks (covers) never appeared on the main records, while the rest are here in much better and heavier versions! To tell the truth, this is the kind of guitar playing (the excellent Alan Kendall - later for many years in the band... Bee Gees) that totally drops your jaw! On the 1970 recordings the band reaches the level of Led Zeppelin's best work! Alongside 50 minutes from the BBC sessions (all in perfect quality) four bootleg, live recordings of rather poor quality (including two unknown compositions) are included and - attention - the debut single from 1967 (made by Polydor Records) by the group The Gods (Ken Hensley and Lee Kerslake + a very young Mick Taylor), unreleased on CD - worth almost a thousand euros on vinyl! This is an absolute must! -

A new, LIMITED edition of the only and truly wonderful album by the Brits, originally released in 1971 by RCA Neon. This is one of the best, forgotten titles when it comes to British progressive, slightly jazzy rock! A rich sound full of changes of mood, plenty of instrumental parts, convincing arrangements and distinct inspirations from the music of the East. The band's style can be compared to East Of Eden, Out Of Focus, Caravan and Jade Warrior. Additionally included are three unique and very nice recordings made for BBC radio in 1969-1970 under the banner Windmill, namely covers of compositions by The Beatles ('Rocky Racoon'), Cat Stevens ('Matthew And Son') and Colosseum ('Elegy'). Windmill recorded several singles and after the tragic death of their vocalist changed their name to Tonton Macoute. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: NEW, sealed. -

The English blues band Tramp was a short-lived venture, active (with breaks) at the turn of the 60s and 70s. It was made up of: Dave Kelly (former guitarist/vocalist of the John Dummer Band) and his sister, the vocalist Jo Ann, as well as the former Savoy Brown keyboardist Bob Hall, while the whole was rounded out by members of Fleetwood Mac - Mick Fleetwood, Danny Kirwan and Bob Brunning. Released in 1969, their only album contained songs written by members of the group and is decidedly an essential item for all admirers of Fleetwood Mac and British blues. 2023 British reissue. (MU) -

The second part of the collection of the band's studio and live albums, this time those recorded after Glenn Hughes left for Deep Purple. His vocal duties were taken over by the guitarist Mel Galley, and he and the drummer Dave Holland were joined by the bassist Pete Wright and the second guitarist Rob Kendrick. This line-up produced the studio albums "Hot Wire" from 1974 and "Trapeze" from 1975, on which Hughes sang as a guest on two tracks. On the next record, "Hold On" from 1979, Kendrick's place was taken by Pete Goalby (later in Uriah Heep), who in turn took over from Galley the role of lead vocalist. Terry Rowley also joined on keyboards. Right after the album's release, Dave Holland left for Judas Priest, and was replaced by Steve Bray. This line-up appears on CD5, which is a recording of concerts in Texas, in May 1981. The other two discs are also live albums: "Live At The Boat Club", from Nottingham, from 13 September 1975 (with the line-up: Galley, Kendrick, Wright, Holland, Rowley) and "Live At Arlington, Texas", from the Texas Hall Auditorium in Arlington, from 12 September 1976, when the band returned with the line-up: Hughes, Galley, Holland. Originally released by Cotillion in 1970, the only, but excellent, album by a Canadian trio playing a combination of a heavy variety of psychedelic rock with strong vocals - in the style of Hendrix and Sir Lord Baltimore, with elements of Eastern European (mainly Ukrainian) folklore (mandolin) and early Captain Beefheart. There is not a single boring track on the record and I remember that many years ago it was an absolute killer for me! In addition the record includes a 6-minute, heavy guitar number, unreleased on vinyl, from the same recording session! 2024 reissue, in a single sleeve enlivened with two photos. Highly recommended! Plenty of heavy riffs; an excellent juicy sound and at the same time surprisingly successful compositions - the whole thing sounds as if recorded in 1971-72 in a professional studio, and not 4 years later in the American provinces! In 1976 nobody in the world played heavy rock better! A total treat for fans of heavy riffing playing in the vein of the debut of Montrose, early Led Zeppelin, UFO of the time and the forgotten Full Moon! Nobody will be disappointed! A great, limited, 56-minute vinyl containing very rare, archival and in its own way exceptional material recorded by a quartet still searching for its style and scraping along the commercial bottom, in Recklinghausen, Germany (for a few dozen fans) in June 1973, with the then guitarist, the very young Bernie Marsden - later of Wild Turkey, Babe Ruth and above all Whitesnake. It is worth noting the very attractive set of tracks - alongside classics such as "Boogie" or "Prince Kajuku" (both lasting 10 minutes each) the strongly improvising band offered the not widely known "Sixteen" and covers such as Janis Joplin's "Move Over" and "Back To The USA" from the MC5 repertoire. Besides this, it is probably the only concert by the band on which you can hear Phil Mogg yelling at a fan... 'Suck my cock'! Right after that Marsden was replaced by Michael Schenker and, as they say - the rest is history... In addition (at the end of the first side) there is a very rare cover of "Leaving Here" - recorded already with Schenker, in Berlin in November 1973 - almost a year before the release of the album "Phenomenon"! The sound quality of the record (a so-called 'audience recording'), although raw, is really very good - dynamic, quite selective (you can hear all the instruments perfectly) and somewhat better than on the raw versions presented below in the YouTube links. The cover shows probably the only known live photo of the line-up with Marsden! It is not really a record for audiophiles, but for old-school fans of heavy rock - certainly! Highly recommended!
