ELONKORJUU - ELONKORJUU - Harvest Time +1 - EU Eclipse Remastered Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A remastered and excellent-sounding edition of a Finnish rock classic - together with a bonus track! In my opinion, alongside the debut album by Culpeper's Orchard, it is the best rock record ever made in Scandinavia and certainly in the top twenty of continental Europe! Released in 1972 by the Finnish branch of EMI Parlophone, the LP "Harvest Time" is on the wish list of almost every serious vinyl collector. Unfortunately the original copies (in nearly ideal condition) that appear on the market once a year easily exceed 1400 euros and as such are rather out of reach... As for the music, it is a wonderful and incredibly catchy combination of the style of heavy rock of the Budgie, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple kind, the progressive elements of the work of early Jethro Tull and a large pinch of Scandinavian... sadness. Here everything fits together perfectly: the superb, very atmospheric though usually feisty electric guitar parts and the Hammonds echoing in the background and the dark vocals and finally the very juicy and at the same time slightly jazzy drumming... All the melodies catch the ear almost at once and at moments it is hard to believe that it is such good playing! No, I repeat no fan of heavy progressive rock can function normally without this record! Additionally an excellent, eight-minute track released in 1971 on the very rare, local Finnish compilation "Pop Mestarit" is included. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! (JL) -

EMERSON LAKE & PALMER - EMERSON LAKE & PALMER - Live In Brussels 1971 - SPA Top Gear Limited Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Limited to 500 copies, a tastefully released CD containing an excellently recorded, nearly hour-long concert from March 1971, not previously released on record, professionally recorded in Brussels, four months after the release of the brilliant debut album. The band presented the whole first side in slightly extended versions, plus a 17-minute version of The Nice's classic "Rondo" and "Nutcracker" combined with bluesy rock and roll. The sound quality is excellent and it is a fantastic complement to the classic album "Pictures At An Exhibition", recorded four weeks later! Together these two albums present the band's full live repertoire of that period! In addition, a very rare and really good-sounding, 26-minute live version of the suite "Tarkus" is included, recorded at the legendary Californian venue the Hollywood Bowl in July 1971! A must! ENGLAND (UK prog) - ENGLAND - Garden Shed +2 - EU Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1977, the only album by this British progressive band, in the vein of the recordings of Yes, Refugee and Druid. Two tracks last 16 and 14 minutes, and that is not all! It is certainly one of the best records of this kind from the second half of the 70s! Recommended! A 2008 reissue, in a digipak. (JL) -
CD
ERGO SUM - ERGO SUM - Mexico +4 - US Lion Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
A great, genuinely progressive album - without a doubt one of the best ever made in France. A very well produced and arranged combination of the style of early Family, Jethro Tull and Traffic (including flute, saxophone, violin) - with a good deal of instrumental parts. The vocals are rather manic - in the style of Roger Chapman. A very tasteful edition with a thick booklet and four bonuses. Highly recommended! (JL) -
CD
ESPERANTO - ESPERANTO - Danse Macabre / Last Tango - Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The second and third albums on a single CD. Esperanto is a very nice (almost) British band, performing a very eclectic, generally progressive variety of rock with dominant, somewhat manic violin parts backed by a rich keyboard sound. The much better 'second' (that is, Danse Macabre) is in the vein of recordings by King Crimson, ELP and P.F.M. The third album is very good only in half, but as a whole I decidedly recommend it! -
CD
ET CETERA - ET CETERA - Et Cetera - US Mandala Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1976, a very good album by a Canadian band playing in the style of Gentle Giant. -
CD
EVERYONE (see also: Junco Partners / Andy Roberts) - EVERYONE - Everyone - SWE Flawed Gems Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! Released in January 1971, the only album by a British, folk-prog-rock group led by Andy Roberts (Liverpool Scene and the great 1971 solo LP "Home Grown" - recorded with Mighty Baby...) and organist Bob Sargeant (ex-Junco Partners - later co-leader of the Mick Abrahams Band). The record was filled with very charming and fascinating material close to the style of Hard Meat, Forever More, and even Atomic Rooster - with a touch of CS&N. Frankly, it is the heavier/more progressive half of the album that is downright sensational (typical of 1970-71, stylistically varied British prog with organ or mellotron), though the more folky second part can also enchant (with the exception of one track in a country rock style)... The cherry on the cake is the two additional and decidedly rock tracks (Hammond again!) from the BBC archives! A great album that will delight everyone who believes the above text. Highly recommended! -

EVOLUTION - EVOLUTION - Evolution +4 - GER Expanded Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The only album by a German formation, released only in Spain. This very rare record consisted mainly of covers of other artists' recordings, including two tracks from the King Crimson debut, Spirit's "Fresh Garbage" and Santana's "Evil Ways". Plus material from singles. A nice, slightly jazzy record with a psychedelic sound - at moments with a pinch of soul. Digipak edition. Recommended. -
CD
EXPERIENCE (see also: Martin Circus / Triangle) - EXPERIENCE - Experience - EU Magic Potion Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released in 1971 by French Vogue on a double vinyl, the only album by the enigmatic band Experience (at the time that was a 'skeleton key' word), reportedly formed by musicians of the progressive groups Martin Circus and Triangle. The record was filled with 76 minutes of early-progressive playing (with strong influences of psychedelia, but also heavy rock and a pinch of jazz) based on the interplay of dominant Hammond organ and electric guitar, a juicy rhythm section and flute and saxophone parts. The whole was modelled on the work of Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Procol Harum and Jimi Hendrix and sounded more like British rock of 1969-1970, but inevitably France was a little behind... The whole is great to listen to (even despite the weak vocals in Gimmie Some Lovin') and I recommend especially the last part of the record, where the band presented an instrumental cover of 'Let There Be More Light' by Pink Floyd (from their LP A Saucerful Of Secrets'), strangely titled here 'Let's Be More Light' and supposedly composed by... Nick Mason! Roger Waters would not be happy! A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -
CD
F.F.N. - F.F.N. - Zece Pasi +4 - ITA Eastern Time Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A very good debut album by a Romanian progressive group, harking back to the style of British rock of the first half of the 70s, such as Jethro Tull, Wishbone Ash and Bad Company. This is typical top-drawer 'Eastern' playing. Good, solid production, nice compositions, and that slightly perceptible element of rustic charm... Alongside the three Phoenix records and Progresiv TM it is without a doubt the front rank of Romanian playing of the 70s! Highly recommended! -
CD
FAITHFUL BREATH - FAITHFUL BREATH - Fading Beauty - US Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A German band referencing the work of Pink Floyd, the Moody Blues and old Genesis. The CD contains three very long, extended and rather melancholic tracks with nice guitars, a lot of mellotron and subtle arrangements. Fans of delicate (but not tearful!) prog-rock will be delighted! Years later the group completely changed its style and look and headed into hard-rock and metal territory. American CD. -
CD
FAMILY - FAMILY - Fearless (3CD BOX) - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
A three-disc set containing the remastered fifth album by the band (with two bonus tracks), the only one with John Wetton in the line-up. The two additional CDs contain recordings made for the BBC (for Bob Harris's programme - 1 March and 8 November 1971 and for the Top Gear programme - 2 July of the same year) and a concert from 28 December 1971, for the BBC Radio One programme. Everything in a rigid box. (MU)
