OMEGA (HUN) (see also: Locomotiv GT / Neoton) - OMEGA - III (German 3rd Album) - German MIG Press - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
A German 2022 edition. A great, third, West German, English-language album recorded in an excellent studio under the eye of the experienced producer Peter Hauke (Nektar, Grobschnitt, Message) and released by Bellaphon in autumn 1974. Most of the compositions used (in new versions) on the record came from the albums: 'Elo Omega' and '5'. Highly recommended! -

OMEGA (HUN) (see also: Locomotiv GT / Neoton) - OMEGA – 200 Years After The Last War (LP) - GER MIG Press - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
A remastered, German 2022 edition. Released in Germany by Bellaphon in 1974, the second, English-language album is among Omega's most outstanding achievements of the seventies and is one of the important achievements of European progressive rock. The band moves away here from its psychedelic roots in favour of monumental, multi-part compositions based on extended parts for Hammond organ, Moog, mellotron and melodic guitar playing. The centrepiece of the album is the nearly twenty-minute "Suite" – an impressive suite of symphonic sweep, smoothly combining atmospheric passages with more dynamic and instrumental ones. A limited edition on 180 g vinyl. A must! -

OMEGA (HUN) (see also: Locomotiv GT / Neoton) - OMEGA - Hall Of Floaters In The Sky (German 4th Album) - GER MIG Press - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
A German 2022 edition. The fourth European album, released at the time (1975) by the West German Bellaphon, as well as by the British Decca! No Eastern Bloc band could boast a similar result! Adorned with an attractive sleeve, the English-language record contained tracks known (in other versions) from the earlier three Hungarian albums and, as usual for Omega, impressed with a mighty, juicily produced ('wall of sound') dose of progressive rock with heavier elements. On the other hand it could be heard that the band was increasingly heading towards the more intricate regions of symphonic rock. Highly recommended! (JL) -

OMEGA (HUN) (see also: Locomotiv GT / Neoton) - OMEGA - Skyrover (Omega VIII) - German MIG Music Press - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
A German 2022 edition. Originally released in 1978 in several European countries and in America, the English-language LP Skyrover (released in Hungary as Omega 8: Csillagok Útján) is among Omega's most valued albums of the second half of the seventies and forms a bridge between the monumental Időrabló and the groundbreaking Gammapolis. The band develops here its characteristic symphonic-progressive sound, enriching it with even more extended synthesiser parts and subtle electronic textures. The record captivates with a coherent atmosphere, rich arrangements and a skilful combination of melodiousness with progressive sweep. -

OMEGA (HUN) (see also: Locomotiv GT / Neoton) - OMEGA – Élő Omega – Kisstadion ’77 (2LP) - Hungarian Grund Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 280,00 PLN / 70,00 EUR
A previously unreleased, exceptional document of one of Omega's most important concerts in its classic line-up. The two-record release presents for the first time the complete recording of the performance at Budapest's Kisstadion, showing the band in great form. The concert programme is based mainly on material from the albums "Nem tudom a neved" and "Időrabló", enriched with earlier compositions and the English-language track "Family Strong". On stage Omega impresses with extended parts for organ, Moog synthesisers and mellotron, striking guitar solos and the compact, dynamic playing of the rhythm section. Particular attention is drawn by the extended versions of "A Névtelen Utazó", the suite "Időrabló", "Éjféli Koncert" and the striking instrumental showpieces titled "Szintetizátormutatványok", which are a demonstration of László Benkő's abilities. The recording captures the atmosphere of Omega's concerts of the second half of the seventies, when the group was among the biggest rock stars in Central and Eastern Europe. The gatefold sleeve was printed on special paper, pleasant to the touch. Recommended! -

OSIBISA - OSIBISA - Osibisa - UK Repertoire 180g Press - LISTENprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
A reissue from Repertoire, in a gatefold sleeve, of the 1971 debut album by a once popular and genuinely great (until 1972) British band (made up exclusively of black musicians from Africa and the Caribbean) combining the style of African ethnic music with the work of Blood, Sweat & Tears and early Santana. New, sealed. -

OSIBISA - OSIBISA - Woyaya (Wɔyaya) - UK Repertoire 180g Press - LISTENprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
A brilliant second album in the same vein as the debut. Some consider this very record to be the best of this Afro-rock group's career. -

OUT OF FOCUS (see also: Sahara) - OUT OF FOCUS - Four Letter Monday Afternoon (2LP) - GRE Missing Vinyl Remastered Press - LISTENprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
The third, double album by a wonderful German band, the quintessence of the best in progressive rock! All three albums by the Germans were at such a high level that it takes your breath away! The first two titles are more rock-oriented, while the third contains more elements of jazz (that is, it is more jazz-rock...) - yet it is in no way inferior to its predecessors. A MUST! -
LP
OUT OF FOCUS (see also: Sahara) - OUT OF FOCUS - Out Of Focus - GRE Missing Vinyl Remastered Press - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
Official, Greek edition from Missing Vinyl of the brilliant second album by one of literally a handful of the best, progressive formations from continental Europe! A brilliant combination of the moods of early Jethro Tull with Pink Floyd and a pinch of Colosseum, backed by very solid playing by the rhythm section and an excellent, pleasantly mannered vocal. A record without weak points! It is a record minimally more jazzy than the LP "Wake Up", but even more varied and, like the band's third, "Four Letter Monday Afternoon", at the same high level as the debut! Both of OOF's earliest albums are the absolute peak of thoroughbred, progressive playing! A MUST! -
LP
OUT OF FOCUS (see also: Sahara) - OUT OF FOCUS - Wake Up - GRE Missing Vinyl Remastered Press - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
Official Greek reissue (from Missing Vinyl) of the debut album by one of literally a handful of the best progressive bands from continental Europe! A brilliant combination of the moods of early Jethro Tull with Pink Floyd and a pinch of Colosseum - backed by very solid playing by the rhythm section and an excellent, pleasantly mannered vocal. This is an LP without weak points! The band's second album in the discography, titled simply "Out Of Focus", was on an equally high level and was also reissued in the same edition. A MUST! (JL) -

PAESE DEI BALOCCHI - PAESE DEI BALOCCHI - Il Paese Dei Balocchi - ITA CLEAR VINYL Limited 180g Press - LISTENprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
Very tastefully presented reissue of the only album, dating from 1972, by an Italian formation. A beautiful, fairly delicate, decidedly progressive record somewhat reminiscent of the output of the brilliant Planetarium. Complete with insert. 2022 edition limited to 300 copies, in a gatefold sleeve, on clear vinyl. -
LP
PALADIN (see also: Procol Harum) - PALADIN - Charge! - IRL Rabbit Hall Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
The second album, more hard-rock (than the progressive debut), by a forgotten British band, resembling the work of early Uriah Heep with a pinch of Procol Harum. A 2016 reissue, in a gatefold sleeve. Recommended! (JL) -
LP
PANTA REI - PANTA REI - Panta Rei - EU Sun King Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A new, limited, vinyl reissue from Sun King. In my humble opinion, this album, released in 1973 (by EMI Harvest), is the best Swedish rock LP of the 70s! What a shame that this superb band recorded only one long-player! The whole thing was filled with heavy, exemplary progressive playing, played with ease... with a pinch of folk (that is, traditional music). Catchy melodies, excellent instrumental skill; plenty of guitars, occasionally flute and saxophone, a solid, somewhat broken rhythm, long tracks and zero musical filler! You simply must not pass up this title! The laminated, glossy sleeve looks almost identical to the Swedish original worth 500 euros! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: NEW, UNSEALED. (JL) -
LP
PATERNOSTER - PATERNOSTER - Paternoster - GER Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
A very nice record by a completely unknown (though now very much cult) band from Austria, whose original LP, released by CBS in 1972, is worth over 5000 dollars! Intense, though somewhat overwhelming music, based on the interplay of organ and guitars. Highly recommended! -
LP
PATTO (see also: Timebox) - PATTO - Hanging Rope - BBC Sessions And Rare Tracks (1970-1971) (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
This limited, attractively presented double vinyl, lasting nearly 110 minutes, contains the best, rare, or unreleased material, from 1970-1971, by the British group Patto - one of the most esteemed (yet all in all underrated) formations of the early 70s today. Slightly jazzy, slightly hard rock - decidedly progressive material with the brilliant, sharp, but rather twisted guitar parts of Ollie Halsall - in almost every track! This musician, who died in 1992 of a drug overdose, is now fairly widely considered the best guitarist in British progressive rock! I think Robert Fripp "can't keep up"! What Halsall was capable of can be heard in the excellent, improvised, 15-minute "Hanging Rope" - probably the band's best track, which in its day... did not fit on the debut album (it is among the bonus tracks on the CD)! The vinyl also contains a 25-minute BBC radio performance (known from the bonus tracks of the third CD "Roll 'Em Smoke 'Em") - exceptionally played for two guitars - with a musician from the excellent progressive formation Jody Grind! Sensational! Besides that, more radio sessions and four tracks that did not make it onto the catalogue first two albums on the label Vertigo! The sound quality is perfect, except for two great tracks, lasting 17 minutes. A must! Condition: NEW, but unsealed. -
LP
PHOENIX (ROM) - PHOENIX - Cei Ce Ne-Au Dat Nume - EU Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
The debut of a Romanian formation, released in 1972, is an absolute canon of European, folky prog rock and at the same time the top three rock records (seriously!) of the former Eastern Bloc! The band superbly combined elements of Romanian folklore with juicy, slightly psychedelic, guitar-driven playing! You cannot tear yourself away! This is a limited reissue replicating the original vinyl pressing (IN THE GATEFOLD, ORIGINAL SLEEVE). A MUST! -
LP
PHOENIX (ROM) - PHOENIX - Mugur de Fluier - EU Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
As with the debut, this album, released in 1974, belongs to the absolute canon of European, folky progressive rock and at the same time to the top five or six rock records of the former Eastern Bloc! Phoenix are in a way a Romanian Skaldowie, only approaching experiments with sound and dynamics more boldly. In a word - more guitars, more changes of mood and more psychedelia! The album is almost as wonderful as the debut, and the last track simply kills - just listen to that incredible, psychedelic guitar solo - probably the only one of its kind in the former Eastern Bloc! You cannot tear yourself away! The authenticity of the group's music is also enhanced by the fact that it was constantly harassed by communist censorship, which in 1977 ended in its (literal) escape to Germany. Original vinyl copies (in the original gatefold sleeve) in perfect condition fetch over 100 euros! This is an almost identical, limited replica (IN A GATEFOLD SLEEVE) - what is more with great sound! A MUST!
