A five-disc set being the first part of an anthology of the band responsible for probably the best single in the history of the NWOBHM - "Buried Alive / Blitzkrieg". The first CD contains the debut album "A Time Of Changes" from 1985, and as bonuses, the aforementioned single, the brilliant "Inferno" from the cult Neat Records compilation "Lead Weight" and three demo tracks from 1980. CD2 is a concert from 1981 once released only on cassette - "Blitzed Alive!" - and nine tracks from various sessions from 1980-1981. The last three discs are studio albums: "Unholy Trinity" from 1995 (which includes a cover of Venom's "Countess Bathory" recorded with Cronos), "Ten" from 1996 and "Mists Of Avalon" from 1998. Superb, limited to 500 copies, wonderfully recorded, 80-minute CD containing all the very good quality recordings available on the market made for BBC radio (by the excellent, British, progressive formation led by Jethro Tull's first guitarist) in 1969-1974. On the tracks from the 1974 reunion (including a 30-minute, excellent live performance for a small audience) the drummer was Clive Bunker, known from Jethro Tull! ATTENTION! 10 brand new compositions (6 from 1974) did not appear on records, so one could almost say that a third, unrecorded album is contained here: live/studio from 1974! On two tracks by the group Blodwyn, Peter Banks, known from early Yes, played guitar! This CD beats hands down the long out-of-print (and on closer inspection somewhat deceptive, since it contains several tracks from the 90s) CD 'Basement Tapes'. That is a completely different conversation! Great sound quality - the two recordings available on YouTube are of worse quality than on the CD! A MUST! (JL) -

LAST COPIES! Blodwyn Pig is an excellent, British progressive (jazzy-bluesy) formation led by Mick Abrahams - the first guitarist of Jethro Tull. This superb double vinyl, limited to 500 copies, of nearly 120 minutes (modelled almost 100% on the old release from the label Chrysalis) contains almost all the very good quality recordings available on the market made for BBC radio in 1969-1974. In addition 35 live recordings made somewhere in the British Isles in 1970 are included. On the tracks from the 1974 reunion (including the 30-minute, excellent live performance for a small audience) the drummer was Clive Bunker, known from Jethro Tull! ATTENTION! Ten brand new compositions (six from 1974) did not appear on records, so one could almost say that a third, unrecorded album is contained here: live/studio from 1974! On two tracks by the group Peter Banks, known from early Yes, played guitar! Great sound quality (the 1970 concert slightly worse)! Inside the gatefold sleeve there are old articles from the late 60s! Plenty of interesting reading and several nice photos! A MUST! -

A new, European, limited reissue of the superb debut album by a British progressive band, released in 1969. A great record, but unfortunately underrated at the time. Almost every fan of late 60s music will find something for themselves: guitar rock, psychedelic moods with sitar, Beatles-like melodies, acoustic, folky moods and typically progressive, though not very extended, instrumental passages. The record has practically no weak points, and the opening, simply stunning "Ride With Captain Max" is worth the price of the whole thing! Plus two tracks from the band's debut single. A few months later the guitarist/leader Ralph Denyer formed the band Aquila. A MUST! (JL) -

A remastered and tastefully produced edition of the excellent second album from 1970 - additionally with a different, single version of "Circles"! This is classic progressive playing of the very highest calibre, with a multitude of instrumental parts (Hammond, rather sharp guitar, frequent changes of mood) plus inspired vocals. The simplest way to place this music is between the work of Wishbone Ash, Procol Harum and Gnidrolog (from the period of the LP "Lady Lake"), and Genesis from the period of "Trespass". Without a doubt it is the best edition so far in terms of sound! A must! -

"Lord Of Misrule" is an album from 2017 on which Blood Ceremony develop their characteristic sound inspired by the rock of the 70s. The band's music combines heavy, doomy riffs with psychedelia and a distinctly marked occult atmosphere. A special role is played here by the flute, which gives the compositions a unique, almost folk flavour. The production is warmer and more accessible than on earlier releases, but does not lose its dark atmosphere. It is one of the more interesting records of the contemporary strand of rock referring to the aesthetics of Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -

The first three or four Blood, Sweat And Tears records are absolute classics today, and the LP "New Blood" was not much weaker. All the CDs are issued as individual card sleeves. A remastered and improved edition of Bloodrock's excellent debut album, released in March 1970 (barely a month after Black Sabbath's debut), which belongs to the very canon of American heavy playing from the turn of the 60s and 70s! At times this album resembles a combination of Sir Lord Baltimore with Budgie, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple (because of the heavy, distinctive Hammond organ), though it also contained numerous and very atmospheric moments bordering on psychedelia and prog rock. ATTENTION! This is the first compact disc edition that sounds like the original vinyl, that is, minimally faster and cleaner than both earlier (wrongly slowed down) CD versions! The difference is small, but noticeable! An absolute must! (JL)
