BLUE CHEER - New! Improved! - FRA Absinthe Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RARE

A limited, very good-sounding (much better than most of the old versions) edition of the great third album, released in March 1969, by the cult American heavy rock band. This album is important in that while the first part of the record is very nice, almost Quicksilver-like, the whole second side, recorded still as a trio, was composed (and played) by the brilliant guitarist Randy Holden - known to die-hard fans of Sabbath/Hendrix-style guitar playing from the excellent LP "Population II" (1970)! I confess this is my favourite Blue Cheer album, and Holden's two longer tracks, lasting 14 minutes together, are almost the world championship of slightly bluesy, psychedelic playing! Highly recommended! New, sealed. (JL)
