Under this name are hiding the musicians of Lucifer's Friend - this time combining instrumental heavy-rock in the vein of Deep Purple and Uriah Heep (and their own 1970 debut) with works of classical music. The first Pink Mice album is great, mainly because of the heavy (at moments) sound of the guitars - almost lifted straight from the LF debut. Unfortunately, the second record, released two years later (almost in a different era), was dominated by synthesizers and was much gentler and weaker than the debut - a typical bonus. Recommended! FIRST TIME ON VINYL IN OVER 50 YEARS! A previously unreissued, almost completely unknown album by an anonymous band from Italy, which at the end of 1971 recorded its only album, which has belonged to my TOP 5 of Italian rock for 30 years. Instrumental, very beautiful and quasi-cinematic music bringing to mind the French soundtrack from the film "La Route de Salina" that I adore (that is, early Pink Floyd mixed with the moods of Ennio Morricone) combined with early King Crimson - thanks to numerous Mellotron phrases, classical guitar, and so on. Moreover plenty of charming melodies for Hammond organ, piano, flute (a lot!), electric guitar and the sounds of a storm, of war - suuuch moods... An incredibly atmospheric record, full of changing moods (from horror to fairy tale), and to tell the truth I know no other album like it! No, I repeat, no fan of old Italian progressive rock will be disappointed! All the more so since the sound is excellent! This title has not been and is unlikely to be released by BTF/Vinyl Magic because the rights are unavailable to them... The original vinyl in great condition costs over 1000 euros, and even at this moment someone is offering a sealed (!) copy online for only 2000 euros! A must! Condition: NEW, sealed. (JL) -

ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare, first American pressing from 1971 (on the olive A&M label) in a SLEEVE WITH A SPECIAL CUT-OUT ON THE FRONT of the excellent, fifth album by the prog-rock classics. It was the last album with Robin Trower and therefore perhaps the most guitar-driven. Additionally the original label inner sleeve. Great condition and excellent sound! This excellent-sounding, 75-minute, limited, fan-club CD contains a superb, nearly hour-long performance recorded at a New York radio station for a small audience, promoting the album "Broken Barricades" (1971). It was the last concert of the band with guitarist Robin Trower. The setlist overlaps with the classic "Live In Edmonton" (from November 1971) in only two cases. In addition, four exquisite and perfect-sounding bonus tracks have been included (including three very rarely played numbers...) recorded live, without an audience, in Bremen in October 1971 - already with Dave Ball (ex-Big Bertha, later in the band Bedlam) on guitar. This limited and excellent-sounding reissue has been extended by two tracks from the 1970 debut single (not available on CD)! A must! -

The original had an incorrect cover design, created by the publisher without consulting the authors; here the original image of the sleeve has been used for the first time in exactly the form the members of Rainbird themselves expected. -

Hotlegs (later 10cc) appear here as Ramases' (real name Kimberley Barrington Frost) backing band. Remastered 2011 edition, expanded with six tracks from the 1975 album "Glass Top Coffin". Recommended! -
