IRON BUTTERFLY (see also: Blues Image / Captain Beyond) - IRON BUTTERFLY - Original Album Series 1968-1970 (5 CD) - EU Card Sleeve Boxprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
A five-disc box set containing the albums: Heavy (1968), In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (1968), Ball (1969), Live (1970) and Metamorphosis (1970), released as card sleeves (mini LP) in a cardboard case. A classic set of psychedelic and heavy rock of the late 60s, from the debut Heavy to the later Metamorphosis. The biggest attraction is of course In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, but Ball and the live Live also show superbly the band's characteristic, heavy and hypnotic sound. -
IRON BUTTERFLY (see also: Blues Image / Captain Beyond) - IRON BUTTERFLY - Ball +2 - US Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Remastered American version of the third album, from 1969 - with two bonuses from the single. A continuation of the sounds from the previous record - perhaps a little less catchy, but a little heavier. Highly recommended! (JL) -
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY - IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY - It's A Beautiful Day - FRA Orange Press - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
The debut album is a wonderful combination of psychedelic style with rock dynamism (hard-hitting electric violin parts) and an ethereal, mystical mood. It is on this record that classics such as "White Bird", "Bulgaria" and "Bombay Calling" appear - the latter shortly afterwards 'adopted' by Deep Purple for "Child In Time"... A French reissue in a gatefold sleeve, from 2020. -
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY - IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY - It's A Beautiful Day / Marrying Maiden - US Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Another reissue of an absolute classic of the American West Coast! I mean especially the debut album, a wonderful combination of psychedelic style with rock dynamics (rocking electric violin parts) and an ethereal, mystical mood. It is on this very record that you will find such classics as White Bird, Bulgaria or Bombay Calling - a moment later 'adopted' by Deep Purple for Child In Time... The second album was perhaps less even, but it is decidedly worth recommending. This CD simply must be owned! (JL) -
JACK, ALAN -CIVILIZATION- (see also: Coeur Magique) - ALAN JACK CIVILIZATION - Bluesy Mind - EU Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
The sole album by a French band (recording for the same label as Gong) with a vocalist singing in English. A great, slightly psychedelic record with a bluesy foundation - typical 1969. The guitarist later founded the very successful Couer Magique. Recommended! (JL) -
JAKLIN - JAKLIN - Jaklin - UK Morgan Blue Town Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
Released in 1969, classic British blues rock combining the style of Alexis Korner with the work of Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation. I like this album very much and highly recommend it! (JL) -
JAMES GANG (see also: Tommy Bolin / Eagles) - JAMES GANG - Yer Album +1 - EU Eclipse Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A fantastic debut album - released in 1969 by ABC Bluesway and one of the genuinely best titles from the American heavy rock circle (with psychedelic and progressive touches)! A classic trio, led at the start by guitarist Joe Walsh (the one who seven years later played the classic solo in "Hotel California" by The Eagles), with a strongly emphasised rhythm section, although the band also cared about catchy melodies... The record includes the 9-minute "Lost Woman" (from the repertoire of The Yardbirds) and the 12-minute, Cream-like "Stop". No weak spots! Additionally an unreleased, 8-minute live track from 1969! Excellent sound that beats the old, very poor BGO Records version. A must! (JL) -
JASON CREST (see also: Orang-Utan / Samuel Prody) - JASON CREST - A Place In The Sun - Complete Jason Crest (2CD) - UK Grapefruit Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
A two-disc set bringing together, for the first time, all the recordings of this excellent band in one place. To the five singles are added studio recordings and, for the first time on CD, two radio sessions recorded in the late sixties. The band's music is psychedelic rock/pop, at times bringing to mind Kaleidoscope, the Moody Blues or Procol Harum. A tri-fold digipak, with a 24-page booklet inside. Highly recommended! (MU) -
JASON CREST (see also: Orang-Utan / Samuel Prody) - JASON CREST - A Place In The Sun - SPA Guerssen Remastered Pressprice: 135,00 PLN / 33,75 EUR
A compilation album by the band Jason Crest - known for five collectable singles (Kaleidoscope/Moody Blues/Procol Harum in one) recorded for the Philips label. Some tracks (such as "Turquoise Tandem Cycle", "A Place In The Sun" or "Black Mass") belong to the absolute canon of early British rock of the 60s. A remastered 2021 edition. -
JASPER - JASPER - Liberation - FRA Absinthe Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Yet another unknown English band. Released in 1969, Jasper's sole and mega-rare album is a mixture of rock and blues drizzled with psychedelic sauce, that is, early progressive rock. The album contains a brilliant 7-minute, strongly psychedelic version of "Baby Please Don't Go" played at a veeery slow tempo. It is one of those records that gain a lot on repeated listens. The original on the Spark label is worth over 2000 euros, so it is probably worth investing in a great-sounding and beautiful-looking reissue. Highly recommended! New, sealed. -
JASPER - JASPER - Liberation - EU Eclipse Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Yet another unknown English band with a single, forgotten title to its name. Released in 1969, mega-rare on vinyl (in perfect condition worth over 3000 euros), Jasper's album is a mixture of rock and blues, drizzled with psychedelic sauce, that is, early progressive rock. The album contains, among other things, a brilliant 7-minute, strongly psychedelic version of "Baby Please Don't Go", played at a veeery slow tempo. It is one of those records that gain a lot on repeated listens. The sound quality is excellent! Highly recommended! (JL) -

JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - So Much Trouble - BBC Sessions (July 1968 - June 1969) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Limited to 500 copies, a fantastic vinyl containing all the recordings from all three BBC radio recording sessions that took place between July 1968 and June 1969, that is, in the period of the first two albums. Two tracks (the bluesy "Stormy Monday" and "So Much Trouble") never appeared on any record. Unfortunately the bonus from Swedish radio promised on the sleeve somehow did not make it onto the vinyl - perhaps that is for the best... The sound quality is excellent, and then there is the gorgeous, stylish sleeve with plenty of very rare photos on the back. An absolute must! Condition: NEW, but not shrink-wrapped. -
JETHRO TULL - JETHRO TULL - Live In Stockholm - January 1969 - FRA On The Air Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Limited French CD containing 80 minutes of music from two concerts (one in full) recorded by Swedish radio. It was the band's first tour with Martin Barre - at that time as support for The Jimi Hendrix Experience! Fantastic sound quality, and frenzied playing - with plenty of improvisation and with everything that makes us love Anderson's band so much. A MUST! (JL) -

JODY GRIND (see also: Sunday) - JODY GRIND - One Step On +1 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
In retrospect Jody Grind is a very underrated, though excellent, British band! Released in summer 1969, the debut "One Step On" contained a sizeable dose of early prog rock with touches of late psychedelia, including a 19-minute suite in a dark mood, typical British underground, with plenty of extended, breakneck improvisations on Hammond organ and superb psychedelic guitar parts. Comparisons with Atomic Rooster, heavy Procol Harum and Brian Auger in his most rock-oriented incarnation come to mind. The four shorter, but still massive numbers were in no way inferior to the first part! A fantastic album belonging to the strict canon of the best British records of 1969! What is more, now the (previously rather muddy) sound has been very pleasantly improved. A MUST! -
JOHN, ELTON - ELTON JOHN - Empty Sky - UK DJM Records 1969 1st Press (STEREO VINYL in MONO COVER) - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 250,00 PLN / 62,50 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! This is a very rare first British 1969 edition. "Empty Sky" is a very eclectic album, full of stylistic twists, yet very accessible and deeply satisfying to listen to - very typical of 1969! After hearing this very underrated LP it is somewhat easier to understand the popular anecdote that someone invited the singer to audition for King Crimson, as the successor to Greg Lake... Although the sleeve says mono, inside there is a stereo vinyl. Sleeve: EXCELLENT / Record: MINT- -

ANALOGUE SOUND! Very rare first American pressing (on the yellow ATCO label with the Broadway inscription) of the excellent debut album by this, all in all, underrated British band, released in the States in a completely different cover from the British edition! Juicy Lucy played a hard-to-define combination of heavy rock, blues and jazz - with great, almost manic slide guitar parts by Glenn Campbell (known from Misunderstood); the Hendrix-style singing of vocalist Ray Owen (who later formed his own power trio with the drummer of Andromeda) and the saxophone of Chris Mercer (ex-Bluesbreakers). In addition, the band included Keith Ellis, the bassist from the Van der Graaf Generator debut. A beautiful copy! Sleeve (gatefold, cardboard and delicate, in very nice condition, with only a promotional cut and a few creases): EX+ / Record: MINT- -
