An excellent debut album by this ultimately underrated British band. Juicy Lucy played a hard-to-define combination of heavy rock, blues and jazz - with great, almost manic slide guitar parts by Glenn Campbell (known from Misunderstood), vocals by Ray Owen (who later founded his own power trio with the drummer from Andromeda) and saxophone by Chris Mercer (ex-Bluesbreakers). The band also included, among others, the bassist from the Van Der Graaf Generator debut. Numbered edition limited to 750 copies on yellow vinyl, in a gatefold sleeve. Highly recommended!
