THEM (see also: Belfast Gypsies / Van Morrison) - THEM - Belfast Gypsies +9 - UK Grapefruit Remastered Expanded Digipack Editionprice: 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
An excellent album - recorded already without Van Morrison, produced by Kim Fowley and released under the so misleading title... "Them" - but under the name Belfast Gypsies. Very dynamic rhythm'n'blues/freakbeat with a touch of early psychedelia. An edition in a digipak, from 2020, remastered from recently found tapes recorded in London (7 of the 12 tracks). Nine bonus tracks, including the demo "I Want You" from February 1966, an early version of "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue", as well as an alternative mix of "People! Let’s Freak Out ", which was released (without the band's knowledge) by Island under the name Freaks Of Nature. A revelation! (JL) -

THIRTEENTH FLOOR ELEVATORS - 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS - Easter Everywhere - EU Charly Remastered Card Sleeve Editionprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
The second album by the cult American band, counted among the forerunners of psychedelia. Under the strong influence of LSD the band created dynamic, somewhat twisted, but at the same time very atmospheric music. Unfortunately, serious drug abuse ended rather tragically for the band's leader Roky Erickson - the artist began to hear the voices of Martians, which he did not fail to tell the policemen arresting him (for possession). As a result, Roky, suffering in addition from depression, ended up in a psychiatric hospital for several years and never really recovered... In the opinion of many this album is even better than the debut (e.g. the opening, 8-minute "Slip Into This House" is simply brilliant). Remastered 2024 stereo edition. -

Sundazed reissue of the debut album in its American and, what is more, monophonic version! "Heaven Is In Your Mind" contains, among others, single tracks such as "Paper Sun" and "Hole In My Shoe". A chunk of superb music - typical English pop-psychedelia combined with folk (that is, acoustic guitars) and guitar rock. Out of print 2009 edition, sealed. -

VELVET UNDERGROUND - VELVET UNDERGROUND - White Light White Heat - UK Remastered Editionprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A continuation of the style of the debut - even more grime and gloom. Rather minimalist (in terms of composition) music, though it is without a doubt a cult album. Recommended. -
VELVET UNDERGROUND - VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO - Velvet Underground & Nico - EU 45th Anniversary Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The favourite rock album of 95 per cent of music journalists... A dirty, overdriven guitar sound, a distorted (or not) viola sound, simple melodies with gloomy, depressing lyrics, Nico's lovely voice, Lou Reed's dry vocals and, of course, the super cover with the banana. No virtuosity or Summer of Love. In 1967 nobody wanted to listen to it, and today the album is spoken of only in superlatives... Remastered 2012 edition. Recommended! (JL)
