VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO - Velvet Underground & Nico - EU 45th Anniversary Remastered Edition - LISTEN

The favourite rock album of 95 per cent of music journalists... A dirty, overdriven guitar sound, a distorted (or not) viola sound, simple melodies with gloomy, depressing lyrics, Nico's lovely voice, Lou Reed's dry vocals and, of course, the super cover with the banana. No virtuosity or Summer of Love. In 1967 nobody wanted to listen to it, and today the album is spoken of only in superlatives... Remastered 2012 edition. Recommended! (JL)
