MESSAGE - MESSAGE – The Dawn Anew Is Comin' & From Books And Dreams (2CD) - MIG Music Edition - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
The debut from 1972 and the second album (1973) by a great, British-German, heavy-progressive band playing in the style of Nektar and Deep Purple - with wind instruments (sax, flute). Long tracks, plenty of improvised playing. Highly recommended! -
MESSAGE - MESSAGE - From Books And Dreams - ITA Minotauro WHITE VINYL Limited Press - LISTENprice: 180,00 PLN / 45,00 EUR
A British-German band playing classic prog rock at a very high level - echoing the style of Nektar, Pink Floyd, Blodwyn Pig and Deep Purple - only played somewhat more sharply. Long compositions, plenty of instrumental parts. Italian 2024 edition limited to 100 copies, on white vinyl. -

MURPHY BLEND (Blackwater Park) - MURPHY BLEND - First Loss - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
This splendid album by a forgotten German band, released at the beginning of 1971 by the Kukuck label (known among other things also for records by Out Of Focus and Armaggedon) - in my humble opinion is probably the best title from Germany in the circle of heavy, progressive rock! This imaginative album was characterised by perfectly balanced proportions between catchy guitar riffs and the classical-leaning organ passages dominant here. As a lover of Deep Purple I simply find it hard to tear myself away from this record, although compared with the Brits Murphy Blend sound rather as if their leader, by contrast, was their own Jon Lord, obsessed with the work of the classics (mainly Bach), and the German Blackmore played somewhat more sparingly and somewhat in the background. This record must not be missed! Excellent sound - slightly clearer than on the Ohrwashl edition, and a much nicer booklet containing several rare photos of this splendid band! NOTE! The short sound of a cuckoo clock placed at the end of the record always appeared at the end of each vinyl side of albums on the Kuckuck label and until now had not been included! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -
MURPHY BLEND (Blackwater Park) - MURPHY BLEND - First Loss - GRE Missing Vinyl Press - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
Sensational! Released in early 1971, a wonderful, imaginative, progressive album by a little-known German band - without doubt among the very top of the old rock from that country! Perfectly balanced proportions between heavy rock and classicising, organ-driven passages. You must not miss this record! A MUST! -
MY SOLID GROUND - MY SOLID GROUND - My Solid Ground - GER MIG Press - LISTENprice: 155,00 PLN / 38,75 EUR
This German band recorded only one album, but a gripping one. Stylistic diversity: from Floydian, slightly narcotic landscapes to hard-hitting rock in the vein of Lucifer's Friend. 2024 German edition from the MIG label. A MUST! (JL) -
MYTHOS - MYTHOS - Mythos - GER Remastered Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
A revelation! Recorded in 1971, this band's debut album decidedly belongs among my favourite German records. Richly arranged, expansive compositions; very juicy sound; plenty of guitars and a brilliant drum sound. If anything, this record can be compared to the style of Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and East Of Eden - with a pinch of very early Tangerine Dream and Twenty Sixty Six And Then. In the second half of the 70s the band recorded several much weaker records, but the debut belongs to the absolute canon of the genre! A must! A remastered 2022 edition, in a card sleeve. -
NECRONOMICON (GER PROG) - NECRONOMICON - Tips Zum Selbstmord - Guerssen Pressprice: 180,00 PLN / 45,00 EUR
A concept album combining heavy rock with progressive elements - something à la early Uriah Heep with Black Sabbath. Lyrics sung in German. Alongside the debut of Rufus Zuphall and the album by the group Vinegar it is one of the best private pressings in the discography of old German rock. A Guerssen 2023 edition, new, sealed. -

NIGHT SUN (see also: Guru Guru) - NIGHT SUN - Mournin' - GER Press- VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
The only record, released in 1972 by the Zebra label, owned by Polydor Records (and now very collectable though short-lived), is an excellent, ultra-heavy, German progressive rock in the style of Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Black Sabbath, as well as Silberbart and Lucifer's Friend. Based on very heavy riffs and at times flaunting a psychedelic atmosphere, the album is considered by many an example of the heaviest, at times almost extreme playing of the early 70s and I assure you it should disappoint nobody! A must! (JL) -

NINE DAYS WONDER - NINE DAYS' WONDER – The Bacillus Years (3CD) - MIG Music Editionprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
The complete recordings of Nine Days' Wonder for the Bacillus label, documenting the band's whole artistic path – from experimental progressive rock of the early seventies to the more polished, melodic sound of the middle of the decade. The debut, sensational album from 1971 stands out with extended suites and contains only four splendid pieces recalling the work of Silberbart, Birth Control from the LP "Operation" and early Pink Floyd - with elements of Frank Zappa. On the subsequent records the music becomes more orderly, but the band does not give up ambitious arrangements, rich instrumentation and characteristic multi-part vocals. 3CD in a cardboard digipak with a booklet -
NINE DAYS WONDER - NINE DAYS WONDER - Nine Days Wonder - GER Bacillus Remastered GREEN VINYL Press - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR

ORANGE PEEL (see also: Epsilon) - ORANGE PEEL - Orange Peel +2 - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released in 1970 by Bellaphon Records, a great and unfortunately only album by a German band and at the same time one of the first truly progressive titles from Germany! Its strength was decided mainly by the splendid, very intense rock suite, full of changes of mood, filling the first part of the record, based on the mighty, slightly distorted sound of the Hammond organ and Purple-like guitar. On the other side the track closing the whole, lasting over 10 minutes, was hardly inferior to it at all. The whole, resembling the then-current but much less commercial work of Deep Purple ('In Rock') and Uriah Heep (debut), was dominated by a dark, slightly psychedelic mood - known even from the stylistically somewhat different records of Nosferatu and Xhol Caravan. Additionally 2 tracks from the debut, very nice single from 1970 are included. A MUST! Condition: NEW, sealed. -
ORGANISATION (see also: Kraftwerk / Neu) - ORGANISATION (KRAFTWERK) - Tone Float +1 - ITA Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Recorded still under a different name, unexpectedly released in 1970 only in Great Britain (for RCA Victor), a cult album treated as belonging to the Kraftwerk discography. This is early, experimental electronic music with a pinch of Pink Floyd. Additionally a live track from the Beat-Club programme. -
OS MUNDI - OS MUNDI - 43 Minutes - GER Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A classic, second album by a German, progressive band, resembling the work of Kin Ping Meh, Eloy and Jane. German edition. Recommended! (JL) -
OS MUNDI - OS MUNDI - Latin Mass - EU Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1971 by Metronome, the debut album by a German band, in a dark, still slightly psychedelic vein with a dominant organ sound - something like a combination of Electric Prunes ('Mass In F Minor'), Xhol Caravan and Orange Peel. Highly recommended! -
OUT OF FOCUS (see also: Sahara) - OUT OF FOCUS - Wake Up +3 - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Out Of Focus are without doubt one of the 10 best progressive bands of the 70s from outside Britain! Released at the beginning of 1971 by the Kuckuck label (known among other things also for records by Murphy Blend and Armaggedon), a splendid album by a forgotten German band - in my humble opinion it is probably the best title from Germany in the circle of heavy, progressive rock! A brilliant combination of the atmospheres of early Jethro Tull with Pink Floyd and with a pinch of Colosseum - backed by very solid rhythm section playing and an excellent, pleasantly mannered vocal. Full of imagination and unrestrained power, a 78-minute CD without weak points! Additionally 3 linked-together live tracks (from Palermo 1972) lasting 30 minutes together are included! (JL) -
OUT OF FOCUS (see also: Sahara) - OUT OF FOCUS - Out Of Focus (2nd Album) +3 - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released in September 1971, the splendid second album by the progressive Germans strongly resembled the strongly Jethro Tull-like (with an admixture of Pink Floyd and Colosseum) debut (again 6 tracks lasting nearly 50 minutes), but was a somewhat more jazzy work, even more inspired by the work of the beloved and very influential in Germany group Colosseum. This is another CD without any filler! As on the brilliant debut, 3 live tracks (from Palermo, Italy, from May 1972) lasting 30 minutes together are included! Excellent sound - slightly clearer than on the old Ohrwashl 1991 edition, and the disc contains a nicer booklet again collecting several rare photos of this splendid band! NOTE! The short sound of a cuckoo clock placed at the end of the record always appeared at the end of each vinyl side of albums on the Kuckuck label and until now had not been included! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL)
