GURU GURU - GURU GURU - Kanguru - GER MIG COLOURED VINYL Pressprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
Released in 1972 by the legendary Brain Metronome, the excellent third album by Guru Guru - one of the best and most popular German bands! The record contains four strongly extended tracks, full of changing moods and lasting 11-15 minutes, inspired by the work of Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Zappa or early Tangerine Dream. Excellent, strongly psychedelic guitar playing with a small amount of vocals. 2024 edition, on coloured vinyl. A must! (JL) -
GURU GURU - GURU GURU - UFO - GER Ohr Press - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
German reissue in a gatefold sleeve of the cult, debut album by one of the most important German bands of the early 70s. Great, heavy guitar playing in the Hendrix style - rolling over the listener like a steamroller! A veeery psychedelic record sounding at moments like the soundtrack for the landing of an alien spaceship. The most far-out album in the group's discography. 2008 edition, in a gatefold sleeve. HABOOB (see also: Embryo) - HABOOB - Haboob - US Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Classic German (though created by American musicians) krautrock, reminiscent of Embryo's work from 1971-73, that is, almost psychedelic-jazz moods with oriental touches built on a strong, shifting rhythm. Highly recommended. (JL) -

HELL PREACHERS INC. (see also: Lucifer's Friend / Asterix / Pink Mice / Electric Food) - HELL PREACHERS INC. - Supreme Psychedelic Underground - GER Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
An excellent album that some years ago I wore out on the turntable for some three weeks! Released on vinyl in Germany and in England - this psychedelic masterpiece was for many years considered a 'moonlighting job' of the Deep Purple musicians (Blackmore, Lord and Paice), but years later it turned out that they were musicians of the German group The German Bonds, who soon afterwards renamed themselves Asterix, Electric Food, Pink Mice and Lucifer's Friend... Also good! This largely instrumental record is based on the interplay of psychedelic organ parts, overdriven guitars, weird sound effects and solid drumming. This superb CD will appeal to, for example, all lovers of Bokaj Retsiem. A must! -

Helloween reach here for songs by Scorpions, Jethro Tull, ABBA, David Bowie, Faith No More, The Beatles, Cream and other artists, giving them the characteristic, guitar sound of German power metal. An interesting showcase of the band's musical inspirations, from hard rock and progressive rock to pop, and the Red & Orange Splatter coloured vinyl further underlines the collectable character of this edition. -
HIGHDELBERG (see also: Guru Guru / Kraan) - HIGHDELBERG – Highdelberg - MIG Digipak Remastered Editionprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
Highdelberg's music combines the psychedelic Guru Guru with the more melodic and orderly rock of Kraan, thanks to which the album is more compact and not as improvised as Guru Guru, but retains the psychedelic atmosphere and experimental character of German rock of the mid-70s. -
HOLDERLIN (see also: Hoelderlin) - HOLDERLIN - Holderlins Traum - GER Remastered Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
A German, progressive band inspired by folk. A beautiful, refined record - violin, flute, Mellotron, and so on. The vocalist sings in her native language, but it is OK. One of my favourite albums from Germany! Highly recommended! A remastered 2021 edition, in a card sleeve. -

The band's third studio album, from 1974, which musically can be placed alongside Nektar, Birth Control and Frumpy, but Karthago makes greater use of funk, soul and Latin rhythms.
