SEMIRAMIS - SEMIRAMIS - Dedicato A Frazz - ITA GREEN VINYL Limited Press - LISTENprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
An excellent and unfortunately only album by an Italian band resembling Premiata Forneria Marconi (P.F.M.) of the period of the first two LPs, as well as Biglietto Per L'Inferno - with dominant, formally expansive compositions, with plenty of instrumental parts (with the addition of a keyboard backdrop) and kept in a slightly fairy-tale (or baroque) mood. Absolutely top-tier Italian progressive rock! A limited 2019 reissue, in a gatefold sleeve, on green vinyl. -

SHARK MOVE - SHARK MOVE - Ghede Chokra's (Shark Move) - US Press - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
A rock record from Indonesia! What is more, the opening, decidedly progressive (overdriven guitar, Hammonds, flute) track, sung in English, lasts as long as 9 minutes! Recorded in January 1970, the band's only album was also filled with six tracks (two of them in English) on the border of psychedelic rock, ballad and the previously mentioned, at moments quite heavy prog rock. Very nice playing with sensational passages (e.g. the six-minute "Evil War", or the ballad-heavy-rock "Insan")! This is not a curiosity from the end of the world, but solid, classic rock! I would very much like such an album to have been made in Poland... American reissue from the label Outer Battery Records. Highly recommended! -

SKALDOWIE - SKALDOWIE - Skaldy - RUSSIAN Melodia 1973 1st Press - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 500,00 PLN / 125,00 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! Super rare first pressing from 1973, with the pink Melodia label, of a special album recorded in Moscow, containing new versions of the band's (progressive at the time) most popular recordings of the day - including a great 20-minute interpretation of "Krywaniu, Krywaniu"! Perfect condition. It is really hard to find a better copy of this collectable title, which is usually heavily worn from playing on the old, primitive Russian record players! The very delicate, thin sleeve is very clean and has only a vinyl ring-wear mark on the thin paper and literally two small creases: EXCELLENT+ / Record practically perfect: MINT(-) -

SKALDOWIE - SKALDOWIE - 70s Progressive German Recordings (1970-1976) (250 egz. - OUT OF PRINT) - POL Kameleon Limited Press - LAST COPYprice: 250,00 PLN / 62,50 EUR
NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHER: The third vinyl record by Skaldowie, released in 2013 by Kameleon - this time with material never published on any format!!! The LP contains eight (purely progressive, as the title suggests) recordings made in East Germany in 1970-1976, lasting more than 44 minutes in total. They are studio recordings of the highest quality. The tracks included here are German counterparts of the following recordings: "Aż do gwiazd", "Od wschodu do zachodu słońca", "Street 2000", "Czasem kochać chcesz", "Prawo Izaaka Newtona", "Jak znikający punkt", "W oknach otwartych", "Cisza krzyczy". All the tracks were sung in German. To all those who are put off buying the record by this, we assure you that in the case of the dynamic, improvisation-filled instrumental parts of the tracks it is not the slightest problem. As many as seven compositions are published here for the first time in history - we are ready to risk saying that this is one of the two or three best progressive materials by Skaldowie ever released. The vinyl has a beautiful, glossy, laminated gatefold sleeve. The LP run is only 250 copies!!! A MUST FOR FANS! -

SPECTRUM (AUS) - SPECTRUM - Part One - IRL Rabbit Hall Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
An excellent, one of the most popular bands in Australia in the early 70s. This (first) album contained progressive music, based on the deep sound of the Hammond organ, though some influences of psychedelia and blues can also be heard. In 1973 Manfred Mann's Earth Band reworked "Make Your Stash" and called it... "Joybringer", and a year later included covers of two (single) Spectrum recordings on the LP "The Good Earth" - perhaps by way of making amends! Highly recommended! (JL) -

SPOOKY TOOTH - SPOOKY TOOTH - Blues Town - A Collection Of Radio Sessions And Rare Studio Tracks 1968-1969 - UK Maida Vale / Verne Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A black vinyl limited to 500 copies, released in a beautiful, laminated sleeve with nice photographs of the band. Spooky Tooth was a British psychedelic and later progressive band resembling a combination of early Deep Purple and Traffic (but with excellent vocals). This superb, 58-minute album contains radio sessions and unreleased studio tracks recorded during the period of the first three albums (including two tracks from the LP "Ceremony" WITHOUT Pierre Henry's overdubs). The pressing is simply excellent (no hiss whatsoever), and the sound quality perfect. A must! NEW, SEALED. -

SPRING - SPRING - Spring 2 - Unreleased 1972 Album - EU Press - VERY RAREprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
Behind this gorgeous cover by Roger Dean hides the second album, unreleased at the time, by the British band Spring - a true legend of progressive rock of the early 70s! As with T2's second album (also unreleased at the time), we are dealing with a finished record (nine tracks lasting 40 minutes), only slightly worse-sounding. Slightly, since compared with the CD version the vinyl sounds superb! More dynamics, more treble, more bass and less surface noise. As for the music itself, the material is somewhat inferior to the brilliant debut, although after several listens the music gains a great deal and suddenly it turns out that it is the natural successor to the debut. It is simply that in 1972 they played a little differently than a year earlier. The Mellotrons are still present (although there are fewer), Pat Moran's wonderful vocal is the same; the melodies still captivating, while at times brass can be heard. In addition three bonus tracks, already known from the CD edition of the debut, have been included - now the whole lasts 57 minutes! The sound quality is very good, and the pressing ideal! 2017 reissue, in a gatefold sleeve. A MUST! -
LP
SPRING - SPRING - Spring +1 - EU Expanded Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
Sensational! The sole album by this English band contains beautiful, rather delicate music reminiscent somewhat of classic albums such as "In The Court Of The Crimson King" or "Nursery Cryme". Lots of Mellotron, a distinctive vocal, great arrangements, a juicy sound. One previously unreleased bonus track. New, sealed. -

STARCASTLE - STARCASTLE - Citadel - US Epic ('orange') 1977 1st Press - EXCELLENT VINTAGE VINYL - LISTENprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! The first American edition (from 1977) of the third album by a once popular progressive band. Without doubt it was still inspired (also in the vocals - the singer sounded uncannily like Jon Anderson) by the work of Yes and in part Kansas and Rush, although the tracks were somewhat shorter (only one lasted 7 minutes), and the music itself became somewhat less varied, more rhythmic, though still decidedly progressive. The album was produced by Roy Thomas Baker (a regular Queen collaborator). Sleeve: EXCELLENT- / Record practically like new: MINT- -
LP
STARCASTLE - STARCASTLE - Fountains Of Light - US 1st Press - LISTENprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
The second album by a once popular American progressive band recording for Epic Records. Released in 1977 and regarded as the best of the band's career, the album was without doubt inspired (also in the vocals - the vocalist uncannily resembled Jon Anderson) by the work of Yes (especially "Tales From Topographic Oceans", but without the psychedelic touches, and "Going For The One") and to a degree Kansas and Rush. It is a record that will delight fans of symphonic rock that is well produced and polished to the smallest detail. Recommended! -

STEAMHAMMER (see also: Armageddon / Renaissance) - STEAMHAMMER - MK II - EU Repertoire Remastered TURQUOISE VINYL 180g Pressprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
From 1969 and probably the best, and certainly the most varied, title in the discography of this criminally underrated band - combining with rock elements of jazz, blues, folk, and at times even early music! Fans of Colosseum and Jethro Tull will be delighted! Remastered reissue on turquoise vinyl. A must! (JL) -
LP
STEEL MILL (see also: Mouse) - STEEL MILL - Green Eyed God +2 - EU Sun King Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A new, limited, European edition of this fantastic album! Steel Mill is an English band which in December 1971 recorded one of the most charming and at the same time intense records in the history of British progressive rock - originally released in Germany in spring 1972 (in a black sleeve by Bellaphon/Penny Farthing), and only in 1975 in Britain (in a sleeve with a green background). Real rock underground, that is "everything thrown together". Elements of heavy rock, jazz, folk and blues cross in dynamic instrumental parts. The album is a veritable model example of how a group unknown to anybody can make an album no worse than those we have loved for several decades! Steel Mill's music has accompanied me almost forever and still 'gets me going'! The band struck an almost ideal balance between folk-jazz-rock (saxophone, flute) and heavy guitar playing based on catchy riffs. Full of verve, yet at the same time ephemeral, the music never bores, above all thanks to its catchy melodies and very skilful handling of mood. The record was released in a unique, gatefold sleeve, and additionally 2 tracks from the singles released alongside the record are included. An absolute must! Condition: NEW (JL) -

STONE THE CROWS - STONE THE CROWS - Ontinous Performance - JAPAN Polydor 1972 1st Press - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 350,00 PLN / 87,50 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! A mega rare, first Japanese Polydor release (from 1972) of the fourth and last album by the once very popular Scottish blues-progressive band, at times heavy-playing and improvising a lot, with the excellent Maggie Bell - somewhat reminiscent of Janis Joplin - regarded at the time as the best British female vocalist. Note! The record was partly filled with very stylish guitar parts played by Les Harvey (Alex's brother) - the unfortunate man who was killed by an electric shock on stage during a concert in 1971... Inevitably, on a few tracks on this record he was replaced by the very young Jimmy McCulloch (ex-Thunderclap Newman - later in Paul McCartney's Wings). Additionally a lyric insert. Perfect condition! The rigid, cardboard sleeve like new: MINT- / Record: MINT- -

STRAWBS (see also: Yes / Rick Wakeman / Velvet Opera) - STRAWBS - Battle - A Collection Of Rare Live Performances & BBC Sessions (1968-1972) (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
Released in a superb sleeve, a superbly pressed, perfect-sounding, 110-minute double vinyl, containing 90% material from the period of the band's work with Rick Wakeman. The album gathers rare recordings made for the BBC (including a stunning version of the title track "The Battle" from 1968 and a 40-minute concert from 1971, with a brilliant version of "Sheep") and fantastic-sounding live tracks from 1970 from the period of the LP "Just A Collection Of Antiques And Curios". In my opinion Wakeman never played keyboards as well as in Strawbs! Even in Yes! I found it hard to tear myself away from this record! A MUST! Condition: NEW, sealed. -

The gatefold sleeve is in great condition, with a slight scuff at the top of the back and a small promotional cut on the spine: a strong EXCELLENT+ / The record is in perfect condition: MINT- -
