Thee Image is an American three-piece band whose members were: the guitarist Mike Pinera (ex-Blues Image and Iron Butterfly), the drummer Donny Vosburgh and the keyboardist Duane Hitchings, who had previously played on, among others, Cactus records. The band's music is heavyish, unfortunately rather average and very "smoothed out" rock with elements of art rock (keyboards). This tastefully released CD contains both of the band's albums. The edition is out of print, we have the last copy! -

Released by Metronome in 1971, an excellent, classic album by a Danish progressive band with a full sound based on Hammond organ and juicy guitar sounds. Fairly long, 6-8 minute tracks with intelligent arrangements, reminiscent of the most interesting recordings of the brilliant British band If, as well as Hannibal (from the UK) and the popular Danish group Midnight Sun. The record was dominated by attractive saxophone and flute parts, at times quite heavy, intense guitar parts, and also the then obligatory Hammond organ sounds. Attention was drawn to the very catchy compositions, excellent, breathy production and spacious sound. An almost perfect record! The original Danish vinyl in perfect condition sells for 1200 euros! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: NEW, SEALED. -

A new, limited, European edition of an absolute classic of heavy rock from the early 70s! Released in 1971, the debut album by a splendid Swiss-Italian band contained very heavy, at times bluesy rock inspired by the work of Hendrix and Cream, but following in the footsteps of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath (and Budgie - whom they certainly did not know). The whole was served up without any compromises, decisively and with plenty of improvised and truly stunning guitar parts by Vic Vergat. The album was recorded in the same studio as "Deep Purple In Rock"... Additionally 7 recordings are included - two from the debut single, and also 5 tracks recorded at the Swiss EMI studios back in 1970 - a few months before the recording of the debut album. Years later these recordings were released on the long-deleted CD/LP "B.U.F.O.". The second, somewhat more 'progressive' album 'Tomorrow Blue', released in 1972, was also excellent! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! A new, LIMITED edition of the only and truly wonderful album by the Brits, originally released in 1971 by RCA Neon. This is one of the best, forgotten titles when it comes to British progressive, slightly jazzy rock! A rich sound full of changes of mood, plenty of instrumental parts, convincing arrangements and distinct inspirations from the music of the East. The band's style can be compared to East Of Eden, Out Of Focus, Caravan and Jade Warrior. Additionally included are three unique and very nice recordings made for BBC radio in 1969-1970 under the banner Windmill, namely covers of compositions by The Beatles ('Rocky Racoon'), Cat Stevens ('Matthew And Son') and Colosseum ('Elegy'). Windmill recorded several singles and after the tragic death of their vocalist changed their name to Tonton Macoute. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: NEW, sealed. -

A great album! The debut of this Dutch supergroup (a keyboardist from Ekseption, a bassist from Cuby & The Blizzards and a drummer from Focus) belongs to the very canon of European progressive rock. The first track, running to as much as thirteen minutes, is a masterpiece of the art-rock world, resembling the best work of Focus, ELP, Refugee and Yes. I remember that years ago I simply could not tear myself away from this record! Additionally two tracks from the single and the first part of the third LP "White Ladies" (1976). A MUST! -

The second part of the collection of the band's studio and live albums, this time those recorded after Glenn Hughes left for Deep Purple. His vocal duties were taken over by the guitarist Mel Galley, and he and the drummer Dave Holland were joined by the bassist Pete Wright and the second guitarist Rob Kendrick. This line-up produced the studio albums "Hot Wire" from 1974 and "Trapeze" from 1975, on which Hughes sang as a guest on two tracks. On the next record, "Hold On" from 1979, Kendrick's place was taken by Pete Goalby (later in Uriah Heep), who in turn took over from Galley the role of lead vocalist. Terry Rowley also joined on keyboards. Right after the album's release, Dave Holland left for Judas Priest, and was replaced by Steve Bray. This line-up appears on CD5, which is a recording of concerts in Texas, in May 1981. The other two discs are also live albums: "Live At The Boat Club", from Nottingham, from 13 September 1975 (with the line-up: Galley, Kendrick, Wright, Holland, Rowley) and "Live At Arlington, Texas", from the Texas Hall Auditorium in Arlington, from 12 September 1976, when the band returned with the line-up: Hughes, Galley, Holland. On a single CD for the first time! This fantastic and in my opinion without a doubt the best album in the career of this British hard rock formation was recorded at the end of 1970 and released only in Spain, at the beginning of 1971 - just before the LP "Tucky Buzzard" (from May 1971) made by American Capitol. That this is the band's true debut is shown by the fact that Paul Francis drummed only on this album - from spring 1971 already the drummer of the group Fuzzy Duck! In any case, this album, recorded with the (small) help of a symphony orchestra, without a doubt has a more progressive character than the subsequent records; you can hear perfectly that it is 1970, and the music itself is downright sensational! In addition, a rare track from the B-side of a Spanish single released by the band under a changed name is included. A genuine rock classic! A MUST! -

Released by RCA in 1972, the only (unfortunately) album by an American trio playing classic, Zeppelin-like, heavy rock with a very good vocal (Greg Arama of the Amboy Dukes!) and splendid guitar parts by the legendary Dick Wagner (ex-Frost, later Alice Cooper and Lou Reed). On this record, produced by Bob Ezrin (Kiss, Pink Floyd), the band offered fairly extended, at times almost progressive, heavy tracks in the style of the best work of Grand Funk, Cactus, Tucky Buzzard and Highway Robbery. This is the top American shelf of heavy rock! It is worth knowing that Al Kooper made a guest appearance on mellotron on the record! A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -
