SUBJECT ESQ. - Subject Esq. +6 - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RARE

Released in 1972 by the German branch of Epic, the only, but splendid, album, containing thrillingly performed, richly arranged progressive music typical of Germany, based on the interplay of organ, electric and acoustic guitars, flute, saxophone, recalling a combination of the style of, among others, Jane, Out Of Focus and Murphy Blend. The band drew on various sources; sometimes it sounded almost hard rock, at other times it approached the style of jazz-rock, or showed a fascination with the work of Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull. Generally the record should delight all fans of good old, juicy playing. The CD contains over 30 minutes of excellent, rare material (different, much better than the two live tracks on the old and worse-sounding Ohrwashl edition), recorded in the studio and live in 1971-1972. In 1973 the group changed its name to Sahara and released the great 'Sunrise' (1974). A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL)
