RUSH - RUSH - Live In St. Catharines, April 1974 + 4 Bonus Tracks - FRA Verne Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A limited edition on black vinyl released by Verne Records in an attractive, laminated sleeve with rare photos of the band's first line-up - still with the drummer John Rutsey. It is the oldest known live material by Rush - recorded for a Canadian television programme on 1 April 1974 - just after the release of the debut album. The record contains otherwise unknown tracks, such as 'The Loser' and 'I've Been Runnin' and the version of 'Bad Boy' by The Beatles known from very early concerts! This 57-minute album, besides 38 minutes live, also contains 2 additional tracks from the mega-rare debut single, worth over 1000 dollars, made by the musicians' own label Moon Records (Not Fade Away/You Can't Fight It from 1973), an alternative version of 'Working Man' (1973) and a home recording with a guitar solo by Alex Lifeson from 1972. Very good, almost ideal, professional sound quality (slightly better than on the official DVD version) with recently remastered sound. A must! Condition: NEW, sealed. -

Released in France in a run of 500 copies, great, live material originally recorded in September 1984 in Toronto, Canada, during the tour promoting the LP 'Grace Under Pressure'. The quality of this 52-minute vinyl is perfect, and the band, then looking rather modern, is in great form! The laminated cover contains several rare photographs of the band from the concert tour! Several recordings from this performance (two of them were omitted) appeared on Rush's official 1984 maxi-singles, while the hour-long performance was released years ago on the limited, official CD/DVD 'Grace Under Pressure'. SAMUEL PRODY (see also: Jason Crest) - SAMUEL PRODY - Samuel Prody - EU Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Originally made only in Germany, the sole album by a British heavy rock band (with the progressive touches typical of 1971) reminiscent of Led Zeppelin, Leaf Hound, Stray and Elias Hulk. The original vinyl is worth about 1000 euros, so it is certainly worth investing in this tastefully released, excellent-sounding vinyl in a gatefold sleeve! This is a real treat for fans of forgotten British heavy music! The vinyl sounds perfect - without any surface noise! A MUST! (JL) -

SCHENKER, MICHAEL -GROUP- (see also: UFO / Scorpions) - MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP - Rock Will Never Die - Live! - SWEDISH Chrysalis 1984 1st Press - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare first Swedish edition (from 1984) of the live album recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, in October 1983. It was the second live album in the discography of the band led by the German guitarist. On the last track, "Doctor Doctor" from the Scorpions' repertoire, members of that band appear, vocalist Klaus Meine and Michael's brother, guitarist Rudolf Schenker. Sleeve: EXCELLENT / Record, probably unplayed: MINT(-) -
LP
SCORPIONS - SCORPIONS - Live In Essen, April 1975 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
An excellent, limited, 52-minute black vinyl released in a beautiful, laminated sleeve with early, nice (but sometimes also cheesy...) photos of the band. This superb album was recorded by the German radio station WDR during the April 1975 concert tour promoting the second, progressive LP in their discography, "Fly To The Rainbow" - of course with the Hendrix-loving guitarist Uli Roth! By some miracle the radio broadcast was professionally recorded by a fan of the band and hence this album! This material was available for years on CDs (and on YouTube) in dreadful quality! This is a different, almost perfect source! The long-player contains, among others, five tracks from the 'second album', unique covers of Hendrix's "Red House" and "Rock & Roll Queen" from the Mott The Hoople repertoire, as well as "Long Tall Sally" and a short, instrumental jam. An absolute must! Condition: MINT (NEW, unsealed). (JL) -

SHORT CROSS - SHORT CROSS - Arising - SPA Out-Sider Remastered Press - LISTENprice: 145,00 PLN / 36,25 EUR
A remastered reissue of the only, but very good, album by an American band playing heavy, bluesy rock with Hammonds (and on two tracks even with horns). Importantly, the band did not shy away from neat, rather unexpected, riffing transitions, and the organist's playing truly deserves attention! This album has practically no weak points and will satisfy every lover of sounds in the vein of Alamo, Goodthunder and a ponderous Allman Brothers Band with a pinch of Wishbone Ash and Bloodrock. Highly recommended! (JL) -
LP
SILVER MOUNTAIN - SILVER MOUNTAIN - Shakin' Brains - JAPAN Far East Metal Syndicate 1983 1st Press + OBI - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 450,00 PLN / 112,50 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! A super rare, first Japanese pressing (with OBI strip and a lyric insert) of the 1983 debut album by a Swedish heavy metal band. A superb, actually hard rock album in the style of a 'souped-up' Rainbow at its best moments on the LP Difficult To Cure. Catchy compositions (with delicate keyboards in the background) and great playing by the 'Blackmore-like' guitarist who, incidentally, once replaced Yngwie Malmsteen in the band! Perfect condition! Sleeve and record: MINT(-) / MINT -

The second album, released in 1971, by a great American band, counted among the forerunners and at the same time the absolute canon of American heavy rock, referring directly to the style of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Grand Funk.
