ANALOGUE SOUND! A super rare, first Japanese pressing of the classic live album (the third in their discography) by the 'Japanese Deep Purple', released in 1977 on double vinyl. Plus two rigid inner sleeves with lyrics. The band plays truly fantastically here, and the live versions sound even better than their studio counterparts - which in the 70s was standard for every self-respecting rock band. This 87-minute album is a slightly weaker (inevitably) copy of Deep Purple's "Made In Japan" combined with "Made In Europe". Is that an incentive? For me, an enormous one! A limited, excellent album containing nearly 60 minutes of top live hard rock playing from the BBC radio archives - in perfect sound quality! This is early Nazareth - still hungry, still strongly bluesy, already heavy and not sparing themselves on stage. All the recordings were made before the release of the breakthrough LP of their career, "Razamanaz" - mainly in January 1973, and also in July 1972. The band played several covers, including a very heavy "Goin' Down", as well as excellent, greatly extended covers of Tim Rose's "Morning Dew" and a nearly 10-minute, strongly jamming and very intense "Black Hearted Woman" from The Allman Brothers Band's debut! Besides this the record contains two more compositions never released on records: "Ruby Baby" and "Paper Sun". A beautiful, laminated sleeve and great sound remastered from the original, ultra-rare, promotional BBC Transcription Service discs from over 50 years ago! A must! Condition: MINT, NEW, UNSEALED. The only record, released in 1972 by the Zebra label, owned by Polydor Records (and now very collectable though short-lived), is an excellent, ultra-heavy, German progressive rock in the style of Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Black Sabbath, as well as Silberbart and Lucifer's Friend. Based on very heavy riffs and at times flaunting a psychedelic atmosphere, the album is considered by many an example of the heaviest, at times almost extreme playing of the early 70s and I assure you it should disappoint nobody! As a bonus a very rare performance of the Sabbath song 'Fairies Wear Boots' from San Bernardino (that is from the popular 'US Festival 1983') has been added, and the fourth side of the record is filled with a 30-minute, stunning performance from Dortmund, Germany, from December 1983! At that time Ozzy was accompanied on stage by: Jake A. Lee, Bob Daisley, Don Airey and the legend of American rock: drummer Carmine Appice (ex-Vanilla Fudge)! An absolute must! The second album by this popular Argentinian trio is fairly widely considered the best achievement of its whole career, although in my opinion 'the third one' is even better. In any case, compared with the debut the band strengthened the guitar riffs a little more and presented a collection of almost archetypal heavy rock numbers in the vein of Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Budgie - still referencing the blues, but without overdoing it... An absolute must! -

Pink Fairies were in a sense an extension of The Deviants' activity, and the attractively released debut album, recorded with Twink on drums, is an absolute classic of British rock! The centrepiece of this record was the 10-minute, improvised "Uncle Harry's Last Freak-Out" - a true, psychedelic, guitar orgy! Besides that the record contained rocking, solid, uncomplicated, pre-punk (in 1971!) playing on overdriven guitars - poured over with psychedelic sauce. Highly recommended!
