SHORT CROSS - Arising - SPA Out-Sider Remastered Press - LISTEN

A remastered reissue of the only, but very good, album by an American band playing heavy, bluesy rock with Hammonds (and on two tracks even with horns). Importantly, the band did not shy away from neat, rather unexpected, riffing transitions, and the organist's playing truly deserves attention! This album has practically no weak points and will satisfy every lover of sounds in the vein of Alamo, Goodthunder and a ponderous Allman Brothers Band with a pinch of Wishbone Ash and Bloodrock. Highly recommended! (JL)
