BRILEY, MARTIN & ENGEL, BRIAN (see also: Greenslade / Mandrake Paddle Steamer) - MARTIN BRILEY & BRIAN ENGEL - Between The Sea And The Sky (Unreleased 1971 Album) - UK RPM - UNIKALNY CDprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
On CD for the first time! Martin Briley and Brian Engel were two members of the excellent psychedelic formation Mandrake Paddle Steamer - known for the single Strange Walking Man (Parlophone, 1969). After the band split up, in the EMI studios (under the eye of George Martin) they recorded a very nice, slightly Beatles-esque, at moments progressive album which, however, for incomprehensible reasons was not released - until now! The sound quality is perfect, and the richly arranged music, full of little delights, is simply superb! In 1973 the two musicians founded the fairly popular group Liverpool Echo, and in 1975 Briley joined Greenslade. Plus tracks from singles. Album out of print. Highly recommended! ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -

ANALOGUE SOUND! The first British edition of the 1975 compilation containing early singles by the band, whose music was a blend of heavy guitar rock (Hendrix, Cream), psychedelia and Zappa-like playing - with a vocal uncannily resembling a cross between Arthur Brown and Captain Beefheart (from 1969-1972). Excellent condition! Sleeve: EXCELLENT+ / Record, probably unplayed: MINT(-) -

BROUGHTON, EDGAR -BAND- - EDGAR BROUGHTON BAND - Harvest Years 1969-1973 - 5 Harvest Albums + Live In Hyde Park 1970 (4CD) - EU Edition - LISTEN - LAST COPYprice: 180,00 PLN / 45,00 EUR
Superb four-disc release gathering all the material from the first five albums for EMI Harvest ("Wasa Wasa", "Sing Brother Sing", "Edgar Broughton Band", "In Side Out" and "Oora") by a great, though somewhat underrated here, underground (decidedly progressive) British formation, initially harking back to the style of Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Zappa and (vocally) Arthur Brown and Captain Beefheart, only to soften (which does not mean simplify) their message somewhat on later records. In addition, six tracks from rare singles are included, and at the end of the fourth disc there are six unreleased live recordings (of great quality and lasting 45 minutes in total) recorded at a concert in London's Hyde Park on 18 July 1970! Out of print, we have the last copies! A MUST! (JL) -

Remastered edition of the cult, pop-psychedelic debut by a British artist - very reminiscent of Donovan's 1967 work, that is, pastoral, baroque pop with psychedelic touches. The original British album is worth almost 500 euros, so perhaps it is worth taking a chance and buying this charming CD! Recommended! -

BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Live In St. Louis 1976 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A limited, European vinyl released by Verne Records in a very attractive, laminated sleeve and containing the band's 52-minute performance in St. Louis from December 1976, from the American tour promoting the band's sixth record. The Welsh band was then performing as a quartet - with an additional rhythm guitarist, Myf Isaac. The sound quality is very good (from the mixing desk, so-called soundboard) - slightly better and more dynamic in the instrumental layer than the CD version, though the vocal part is still a little too loud, but most fans will surely not mind! A must! Condition: MINT, NEW, unsealed.
