BUDGIE - Live In Milwaukee 1978 - FRA On The Air Edition - VERY RARE

This French, fan-club CD contains the full, 80-minute concert that was recorded (by the quartet, then playing with two guitars) on the American tour promoting the LP "Impeckable". The sound quality is very good, because from what I know it is the first cassette copy from the original reel recorded straight from the mixing desk. The only problem is the fact that in the first track ("Melt The Ice Away") the first minute was missing and it has been patched in from the official CD "Radio Sessions". Of course hiss has been removed, the bass and treble boosted a little - it is better than very good! ATTENTION! One more thing! Five days earlier, during the same tour, material was recorded at the A&M studios in Los Angeles, which came out on the CD "Heavier Than Air", and then on the CD "Radio Sessions" released by the band. The problem is that that (theoretically great-sounding concert) was by someone... sped up! 65 minutes were played in 63 and a half! The band 'played too fast' and to tell the truth I always had the impression that something was not right - it was livelier, but rather light... Only after listening to "Live In Milwaukee 1978" did it dawn on me that the official material sold by the band is faulty! Either way, the Milwaukee concert is recorded at the proper speed and contains two more tracks than the Los Angeles one: "Sky High Percentage" and "Zoom Club". In addition several nice photos from the same tour are included. This is a great treat for fans of heavy rock! Highly recommended!
