FREEBORNE - FREEBORNE - Peak Impressions +3 - US Expanded Digipack - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Reissue of the only album, released in 1968, by a forgotten American band - containing plenty of superb, experimental, quite melodic playing (adorned with all sorts of sound effects) in the vein of very early Pink Floyd, as well as Gandalf, Pussy and Group 1850. Additionally three tracks from singles! Highly recommended! -
FREEDOM (see also: Procol Harum / Snafu) - FREEDOM - Born Again - Complete Recordings 1967-72 (5CD) - UK Grapefruit Editionprice: 190,00 PLN / 47,50 EUR
The first complete anthology of the British band, founded by the drummer (here also the vocalist) Bobby Harrison and the guitarist Ray Royer, who right after recording the single "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" were replaced in Procol Harum by B.J. Wilson and Robin Trower. The five-disc set contains the albums: the soundtrack to the film by the Italian director Tinto Brass "Nerosubianco (Black On White)" from 1968, "Freedom At Last" and "Freedom" from 1970, "Through The Years" from 1971 and "Freedom Is More Than A Word" from 1972. In addition, a total of fifteen bonus tracks have been added, including alternative, single and demo tracks. It is hard to classify the band's style; at the beginning it leaned towards psychedelic rock, but from the third record it switched to hard rock close to Humble Pie, with elements of progressive rock. A 28-page booklet is enclosed in the rigid box. Highly recommended! (JL) -
FREEDOM'S CHILDREN - FREEDOM'S CHILDREN - Astra - GRE Missing Vinyl Remastered Limited 180g Press - LISTENprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
The second album by a wonderful band from South Africa - now regarded by many collectors as an absolute masterpiece of mature, psych-progressive rock! In my opinion it is a combination of the style of early Pink Floyd (1968-1969) with a pinch of Arcadium! The whole record is arranged as a kind of rock-psychedelic suite, full of original, dark sounds, frequent changes of mood and interesting instrumental parts (heavy guitars, strong Hammond organ tones) decorated with psychedelic effects. A thrilling album (worth over a thousand euros on the original Parlophone vinyl!)! A must! Remastered 2022 edition limited to 500 copies, in a gatefold sleeve. -

FRESH MAGGOTS - FRESH MAGGOTS - Fresh Maggots - AUS Progressive Line Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A very nice album combining acoustic, folk moods with overdriven guitar sound and slightly Anderson-like (of JT) vocals. In my book I gave this record 7 and I think that is 1 too few... -
FREŠO, FEDOR (see also: Collegium Musicum) - FEDOR FREŠO – Gastronomic Pleasure - Pavian Records Digipak Remastered Editionprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
Fedor Frešo was associated with the most important bands of the Czech and Slovak rock scene, and together with Marián Varga he founded Collegium Musicum - he played bass and sang. FRIJID PINK - FRIJID PINK - Frijid Pink +2 - GER Repertoire Expanded Editionprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
Excellent debut by an American formation from Detroit, characterised by the sound of heavily overdriven guitar, powerful drumming and occasional Hammond organ parts. The CD includes, among others, an excellent (and once quite a success) and very intense cover of the classic "House Of The Rising Sun" (sensational!), as well as plenty of thrilling material in the vein of The Amboy Dukes, MC5 and very early Led Zeppelin. German Repertoire edition in a traditional jewel case, with two bonus tracks. (JL) -
FRIJID PINK - FRIJID PINK - Defrosted - German Repertoire Digipackprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
The second album by a very good American group from Detroit - inevitably referencing the work of The Amboy Dukes and MC5 as well as Mountain and Ten Years After. The 'second' is somewhat more hard-rock (though less feisty than the debut), contains slightly longer tracks and was recorded without organ. Recommended!
