DSCHINN - DSCHINN - Dschinn +4 - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released in 1972, the only album by the German band Dschinn belongs to the most interesting items in the catalogue of Bacillus Records, the label owned by Bellaphon. The band went for compact, guitar-driven compositions combining hard rock, psychedelia and blues, with distinct influences of British progressive artists of the early 70s. Among the record's greatest assets are attractive compositions combining catchy melodies with a heavy, bluesy pulse, strong guitar riffs, exceptionally capable playing by the rhythm section and... a great sleeve! The album was recorded in only five days, practically 'live', on four-track equipment, which gave it a raw, authentic sound. Additionally 4 recordings from 1972, unreleased on vinyl, are included. Highly recommended! Condition: new, sealed. (JL) -

DUFFY - DUFFY - Scruffy Duffy +5 - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1973, the second (as it turned out years later...) album by this British band, containing very dynamic, Purple-and-Heep-like hard rock (guitar + organ), with clearly progressive touches (including the 9-minute "St. John's") and of the best kind. "Changing My Ways", on the other hand, at times reminiscent of "Highway Star", is a hard-rock classic! A remastered 2021 edition, in a digipak, with five previously unpublished bonus tracks. Highly recommended! (JL) -
DUFFY - DUFFY - Just In Case You're Interested... - EU HIFLY Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
Well, everybody makes mistakes... In my book "British Rock" I wrote mistakenly (relying on several seemingly solid sources, such as Hans Pokora's books, or www.popsike.com) that the LP "Scruffy Duffy" (1973) was the debut of this British hard rock band, while this album is the 'second'... Years later it turned out that it was never released in the British Isles, but in Brazil and France (in 1974 and 1975), the album had come out in Germany as early as 1972... From the note on the back of this premiere CD it follows that I was not the only one who thought so... As for the music, the record was filled with a very attractive and fairly melodic mixture of style close to Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Free and Humble Pie (catchy compositions, plenty of organs, juicy guitars), though without virtuoso acrobatics. A very solid album that will genuinely please almost all lovers of heavy and fairly melodic playing from the early 70s. Recommended! -
DUG DUG'S - DUG DUG'S - Dug Dug's - US Lion Remastered Card Sleeve Edition - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
Released in 1971, the very good debut album by a Mexican formation that is cult in certain circles, playing a combination of heavyish rock, blues and Latin folk (flute). This is a 100% official, remastered American edition from my colleague at Lion - with a mini LP-style cover printed in China. Recommended! (JL) -

DUMMER, JOHN -BAND- (see also: Groundhogs/Blues Band) - JOHN DUMMER BAND - Blue +2 - UK Repertoire Remastered Expanded Editionprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
The fourth album by a blues-folk-progressive British band, reminiscent a little of the lighter work of East Of Eden and Curved Air, with a pinch of early Magna Carta. Very nice violin parts. Remastered 2004 edition, with two bonus tracks. -
DUMMER, JOHN -BAND- (see also: Groundhogs/Blues Band) - JOHN DUMMER'S OOBLEEDOOBLEE BAND - Oobleedooblee Jubilee - EU Walhalla Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR

DUNBAR, AYNSLEY (see also: Tempest / Jody Grind / Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation) - AYNSLEY DUNBAR - Blue Whale - EU Ethelion Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A remastered and excellent-sounding vinyl edition of the supposedly solo album, recorded in 1970 and released in the UK by Warner Bros (or Metronome in Germany), by the former drummer of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (1966-1967), The Jeff Beck Group (1967) and of course the leader of his own band Retaliation (1967-1969). Recorded in a great line-up (including the guitarist Ivan Zagni - known from the debut of the band Jody Grind - and Paul Williams - the future vocalist of Juicy Lucy and Tempest), "Blue Whale" is superb, juicy progressive rock in the vein of Colosseum and Zappa from the LP "Hot Rats" - that is, based on numerous, improvised instrumental parts. The album may not have an attractive cover (quite the contrary), but the music is excellent! New, sealed. A MUST! (JL) -
DUNBAR, AYNSLEY -RETALIATION- (see also: John Mayall) - AYNSLEY DUNBAR RETALIATION - 1st Album (Original Mono Mix) / To Mum From Aynsley And The Boys (1968-69) - EU Walhalla Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The first and third albums (in remastered form) of an excellent band led by the former drummer of Mayall and the Jeff Beck Group, and from 1970-75 a collaborator of Frank Zappa. The debut is here in the original British mono mix from 1968 - differing from other editions. Highly recommended! -
DUNBAR, AYNSLEY -RETALIATION- (see also: John Mayall) - AYNSLEY DUNBAR RETALIATION - Remains To Be Heard +2 - EU Walhalla Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The fourth in the discography and the last Retaliation album, containing half of its material in the vein of the third album and acoustic blues playing without... Dunbar's drums (he had left the band in the meantime)! Additionally two brilliant tracks from the band's first single: "Warning / Cobwebs" (Blue Horizon, 1967) - the A-side known from Black Sabbath's later cover! -
DUNBAR, AYNSLEY -RETALIATION- (see also: John Mayall) - AYNSLEY DUNBAR - Dr. Dunbar's Prescription / Blue Whale - EU Walhalla Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The second and fifth LPs on one CD (1968-1970). "Dr. Dunbar's Prescription" is classic, guitar blues rock from the late 60s, while "Blue Whale", recorded in 1970 (for the first time in the original vinyl mix), is superb progressive rock in the vein of Colosseum, Zappa and Juicy Lucy. These records may not be stunningly produced in terms of artwork, but they have excellent sound! A MUST! -

DUST (see also: Estus / Ramones) - DUST - Dust - FRA Orange Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A fantastic debut album by an American heavy-rock power trio. In fact it is hard to find any weak point here. Generally it was very European, attacking, hard-hitting, guitar-driven, riffing playing, and the 10-minute, Sabbath-like "From A Dry Camel" (with a dizzying acceleration and a brilliant guitar part) is an absolute knockout and at the same time pre-stoner rock! This band took no prisoners! The drummer Marc Bell (as Marky Ramone) later played in the Ramones! A must! 2020 reissue, sealed. -
DUST (see also: Estus / Ramones) - DUST - Dust - ITA Akarma Press - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
Italian reissue from the label Akarma of the fantastic debut album by an American heavy rock power trio. In fact it is hard to find any weak point here. This band took no prisoners! Drummer Marc Bell later played in the Ramones! A must! -
