British progressive playing on the borderline of the style of Fantasy, Curved Air and even Indian Summer + vocals reminiscent of Uriah Heep. Recorded in 1972, a previously unreleased album by an American (NOT British!) band playing heavy rock with elements of psychedelia and prog rock. The band formed in San Francisco (initially as Osgoode), and an important element was the violin, which may bring to mind High Tide or the British (nomen omen) Asgard. -

The first four albums, that is the whole studio output of Atlantis (a German band formed after the break-up of the group Frumpy) for the legendary Vertigo label, presenting a full picture of the development of this one of the most interesting German rock bands of the first half of the seventies. The band, led by the charismatic vocalist Inga Rumpf, skilfully combines blues rock, hard rock, soul and funk, creating a sound with great expressive power. The debut album delights with heavy guitars and strong, bluesy feeling, while the subsequent records bring increasingly melodic compositions, richer arrangements and greater stylistic variety. -

Released by Philips in 1972, and now reissued in France, the second LP in the discography, "Loaded" (in perfect condition and with the limited poster, worth over 2000 euros on the original Philips vinyl), is without doubt the best hard-progressive album ever made in Norway and at the same time in the top three of Scandinavian rock! A very dynamic, rock sound based on the interplay of guitars, organ and a very juicy rhythm section. Looseness and precision at the same time - these qualities characterised many bands from the North. In addition, three tracks from the first two singles have been placed on the vinyl, including the fantastic "Stop Your Wishful Thinking", built on a very catchy riff - probably the band's strongest track! Excellent sound quality and excellent, clean pressing! A MUST! (JL) -

A fantastic band from Norway! The second in their discography, "Loaded" is without a doubt top three of Scandinavian rock! Released at the end of 1972, the band's debut album is without a doubt Babe Ruth's best work and at the same time part of the very canon of early 70s prog-rock. The first album, from 1972, is an absolute classic not only of American but simply of heavy music. Stylistically it is Led Zeppelin (or perhaps rather Leaf Hound) combined with Black Sabbath. The second on the disc (and third in the discography), the LP "Music", was a bit disappointing but had its moments. Even so, I strongly recommend it! Digipak. -

The fourth album in the career of the classics of British prog rock - theoretically weaker than the earlier titles, but most bands would give anything to be able to record something so good! 2023 deluxe edition, containing the remastered stereo version with nine bonus tracks (CD1), a new stereo mix + six bonus tracks (CD2) and a recording of a performance for BBC Radio One "In Concert" from 16 November 1972 (previously released as "...BBC In Concert 1972") in mono (CD3) and stereo (CD4). The Blu-ray, meanwhile, has the album (+ six bonus tracks) in Hi Resolution 5.1 Mix/New Stereo Mix/Original Stereo Mix (96Khz/24 Bit) and a promotional video from 1973. Barnabus was a British, underground hard rock band, active in the early 70s. Their music combines heavy hard rock and early proto-doom with elements of psychedelia and progressive rock, which is why it is sometimes compared to early Black Sabbath or Edgar Broughton Band. The album contains material recorded in the early 70s, which originally appeared only in the form of an acetate; only this reissue restored the recordings from the original tapes and made them available to a wider audience. New, sealed. -

This unique, limited album of nearly an hour contains unreleased, unique 'live' recordings by the brilliant (on their first three albums) progressive Scottish band. The first side is filled with three extended classics of the band, recorded live in the studio (with Virginia Scott additionally on mellotron) for the legendary German programme "Beat-Club" (1971). It all sounds perfect - like recordings made by Vertigo, or better! In my opinion the version of "Time Machine" is even better (slightly heavier) than the one from the second album! For those 28 minutes alone you should own this splendid record. The second part is filled with a 30-minute fragment of a performance in Italy on 4 May 1972, recorded from the audience, that is an 8-minute "MacArthur Park" and a stunning, powerful, 20-minute cover of a classic by the psychedelic band Eire Apparent, "Yes I Need Someone". It sounds very good, you can't tear yourself away, though not as good as the tracks from German TV. The album is adorned with a very nice laminated sleeve containing several rare photos of this underrated band. A MUST! Condition: MINT, NEW, unsealed. (JL) -
