ATLANTIS – The Complete Vertigo Studio Recordings 1972–1975 (2CD) - MIG Music Edition

The first four albums, that is the whole studio output of Atlantis (a German band formed after the break-up of the group Frumpy) for the legendary Vertigo label, presenting a full picture of the development of this one of the most interesting German rock bands of the first half of the seventies. The band, led by the charismatic vocalist Inga Rumpf, skilfully combines blues rock, hard rock, soul and funk, creating a sound with great expressive power. The debut album delights with heavy guitars and strong, bluesy feeling, while the subsequent records bring increasingly melodic compositions, richer arrangements and greater stylistic variety.
