This is a splendid German band which, for unknown reasons, has two "g"s instead of two "d"s in its name! So please do not confuse it with the British band with the album from 1975! The Germans' only record is a rather unique, heavy-progressive rock masterpiece based on the interplay of heavy, overdriven guitar, a powerful rhythm section, slightly Hendrix-like vocals and rather timid phrases on electric piano. The whole thing was inspired by recordings of Deep Purple, Spooky Tooth and Hendrix. In fact the band performed, among others, great versions of compositions by Spooky Tooth and the Jeff Beck Group. This record, released at the end of 1970, should satisfy most fans of early Grand Funk, Sir Lord Baltimore and the Australian Buffalo. After the break-up of Armaggedon guitarist Frank Diez played, among others, on the second Emergency album and on the debut of Atlantis. A must! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -

A very good, decidedly progressive album recorded with the participation of Billy Joel! The author of Piano Man and Uptown Girl, later known for being tedious, careered here on an overdriven and exuberant Hammond as if the world were ending, accompanied by a pal thrashing hard on the drums... I apologise for this style, but the playing is genuinely rocking, the tracks quite catchy and strongly improvised and the sound decidedly European - not far from Deep Purple. You do not feel the lack of guitar here at all! I highly recommend this album, since it would be hard to find another such organ orgy - and on top of that one that sticks in the ear without any trouble! (JL) -

Made in 1970, "Befour" (with Gary Boyle on guitar) is the last record released under the Trinity banner and at the same time one of the 2-3 best albums in the famous keyboard player's discography.
