Released in 1969, the only album by a great American heavy-psychedelic group, without a doubt looking up to Iron Butterfly of the "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" period (that is good!) and to the then output of Vanilla Fudge and The Doors. A great advantage of this record is the wonderful overdriven guitar sound - on a par with the Hammond organ filling the sonic spectrum. Fortunately the LP has no filler, and particular attention is deserved by the 7-minute, mighty "100% Vision" (ah, that guitar!) and the 16-minute, excellent "Free Up" - a very intense track, at moments deceptively reminiscent of an Iron Butterfly suite (there is a drum solo, a superb guitar solo and organ slow-downs), yet it is so good to listen to that any 'borrowings' do not matter in this case. In addition, a cover, released only on a single, of the (very popular at the time) hit "MacArthur Park" is included. This is a psych rock masterpiece from the American second division. A MUST! -

A three-disc set containing all the tracks recorded by the British beat band, reminiscent of The Beatles of the period of the first two albums, from 1963 to 1969. Among them are such classics as "Hippy Hippy Shake", "Good Golly Miss Molly" or "You're No Good", as well as the only British album, "Blue Jeans A' Swinging" from 1964, in full in mono and stereo versions, and all the tracks from their rare release "Don't Make Me Over" from 1966, available only in Canada. A compilation released in 2021 containing tracks by the British psychedelic band, one of whose founders was Chris Squire (and Peter Banks joined it soon afterwards), from 1965-1969, when it never got a record released (which happened only after the reunion in 2004). In 1967 the band released the singles "Flowerman / 14 Hour Technicolour Dream" and "Created By Clive / Grounded". Besides these, the album contains, among other things, a five-minute fragment of a rehearsal of the track "Gangster Opera", a demo version of "Flowerman", an acetate of the then unreleased "Merry-Go-Round" and two tracks by the band (including a cover of "I Can't Explain" by The Who), still under its earlier name - The Selfs. As bonuses two demo tracks recorded in 1974, in the line-up: Squire, the vocalist Steve Nardelli and the keyboard player Andrew Pryce, and "Grounded 2004" from 2004. -

Remastered and released for the first time on a single CD, Swedish edition of the second album in the discography (released by Liberty in 1969), a truly great one, by an American group playing heavy-psychedelic rock combining the style of Hendrix, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, Blue Cheer and Savage Resurrection. Absolutely classic, guitar-driven (and catchy at the same time) playing adorned with numerous sound effects and guitar distortion. It is one of the best albums of this genre! A must! (JL) -

This is one of my most favourite and most often played little-known records! A remastered and very good-sounding reissue of the debut album, recorded in two and a half hours and released in early 1969, by a genuinely cult Australian band. This sensational LP has great compositions, plenty of overdriven guitars and a lot of psychedelia, that is, a cross between Hendrix and Cream with a pinch of late Beatles. There are no weak moments on the record and every fan of old rock should simply have this title in their collection! A must! (JL) -

Released in 1969, a superb debut album by a Finnish band (the most popular alongside Wigwam) (with a British vocalist) referring to the style of very early Jethro Tull and Procol Harum and Traffic's second album. Very good guitars, a bit of flute and saxophone, great playing from the rhythm section, and that ambient, spacious, lively sound characteristic of the music of the late 60s. Without doubt it is in the top ten of Scandinavian rock! In addition, three tracks from singles (known from the previous CD edition) and two NEVER-RELEASED 12-minute pieces: a live cover of the best Blodwyn Pig track and a great studio track from 1970! Note! This is not the same material as on the 'Swedish' album of the same title recorded a year later! A must! (JL) -

On CD for the first time! The Holy Grail of British pop-psychedelia has finally seen the light of day! The problem is that in 1969 the album was pulled from production by Decca at the last minute, and as a result literally four copies of the record and sleeve were pressed - fetching prices of £2000 for an average condition copy! The single "Twenty Ten" appeared on the "Rubble" box set, while the next one, "In My Magic Garden", is known from the "British Psychedelic Trip" series. The album has plenty of really nice moments and a lot of covers, although of course it is not a record on the level of Andwella's Dream or Tomorrow. This very attractively presented CD has nine bonus tracks, taken from the band's earlier incarnations. All in all, highly recommended! -

The English blues band Tramp was a short-lived venture, active (with breaks) at the turn of the 60s and 70s. It was made up of: Dave Kelly (former guitarist/vocalist of the John Dummer Band) and his sister, the vocalist Jo Ann, as well as the former Savoy Brown keyboardist Bob Hall, while the whole was rounded out by members of Fleetwood Mac - Mick Fleetwood, Danny Kirwan and Bob Brunning. Released in 1969, their only album contained songs written by members of the group and is decidedly an essential item for all admirers of Fleetwood Mac and British blues. 2023 British reissue. (MU) -

Behind this pseudonym hid the former drummer of the Pretty Things, Tomorrow and the Pink Fairies. It was with musicians from those bands that he recorded a fantastic, psychedelic gem. A dark, narcotic mood, plenty of sound collages, but also several monstrous compositions with hard-hitting guitar parts in the foreground. At moments it is not easy playing; although fans of "S.F. Sorrow" or the first Pink Floyd album will be delighted! Highly recommended! A remastered edition to mark the album's 50th anniversary, in a traditional plastic jewel case. -
