N.S.U. - N.S.U. - Turn On Or Turn Me Down - UK Morgan Blue Town Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A great, very underrated album, echoing the sounds of Cream with a touch of the style of (let's say...) Little Free Rock and Pussy. Typical late 60s playing - fresh, psychedelic, somewhat heavy rock with a classic guitar sound. 2018 edition. A must! (JL) -

NUCLEUS (CAN) (see also: A Foot In Coldwater) - NUCLEUS - Nucleus - US Mandala Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The only, but genuinely excellent, album by a somewhat forgotten Canadian formation, which two years later turned into the hard rock A Foot In Coldwater. Heavy, intense playing with dominant Hammond sounds and a wonderfully overdriven (but not overdone) guitar; besides that, plenty of intense, meaty and almost progressive playing - as it was in 1969... Something like a Vanilla Fudge three times better and more rock-oriented, and without the intrusive vocals. 44 minutes and only six tracks! Digipak. A must! -

OMEGA (HUN) (see also: Locomotiv GT / Neoton) - OMEGA - 10000 Lepes +4 - Hungarian GrundRecords Remastered Expanded - LISTENprice: 85,00 PLN / 21,25 EUR
A remastered version from 2022. Released in 1969, a fantastic, second, Hungarian album containing above all 'Girl With Pearl Hair' but also several other killers, such as the title track, 'Tekozlo Fiuk' or 'Tuzvihar'. This mixture of late psychedelia/early progressive rock in the vein of Procol Harum and The Moody Blues, heavy rock in the style of Hendrix and folk ballad - all of it mixed with the addition of sharp Hungarian spices - was at the time world-class when it came to Eastern Rock! Compared with this album, the work of, say, Polish bands simply did not exist! A Hungarian remastered CD with excellent, perfectly fitting four bonus tracks from excellent singles. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! OMNIBUS - OMNIBUS - Omnibus - US Mandala Digipack - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A great, unfortunately only album in the discography (originally released by United Artists in 1969) by an American psychedelic formation playing imaginative rock full of changing moods in the vein of The Doors and Vanilla Fudge (the vocalist at moments sounded very much like Jim Morrison), but with a more heavily overdriven guitar. Three-panel digipak. Highly recommended! (JL) -
CD
OPEN MIND - OPEN MIND - Open Mind +4 - EU Magic Potion Expanded Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A new, limited edition of the only, but excellent, album, released by the Philips label in the summer of 1969, by a British psychedelic band that also did not shy away from new, heavy sounds. Of course 'Open Mind' was a kind of epitaph for the psychedelic era that was just ending, but, devoid of any promotion, it unfortunately went unnoticed, which is why today the original LP in great condition costs around 2000 euros today and is the object of longing of probably every collector of psychedelia on vinyl! The record will certainly appeal to lovers of bands such as Andwella's Dream, The Attack (that is pre-Andromeda) or Pretty Things (from the 'S.F. Sorrow' period). 4 tracks have been added to the album's contents: two splendid single tracks (Magic Potion and Cast Your Spell) in a mono mix (from the original single worth over 2000 euros!!!) and stereo (the official mix from Polygram tapes taken from the first Rubble compilation of 1984)! The mentioned 'Magic Potion' belongs today to the rock canon and for me is one of the most stunning and best short tracks of the late 60s! This is the best-sounding edition of the record - better than the Sunbeam Records version! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: NEW, sealed. -

LP
PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - BBC Sessions (May 1967 - July 1969) (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
ATTENTION! It is 100% the most complete, BEST-SOUNDING and without a doubt best-produced edition of the radio material from the BBC - ever released! A superb, exactly 104-minute, double black vinyl adorned with a very attractive sleeve (with a UNIQUE PHOTOGRAPH OF THE LINE-UP with BARRETT and GILMOUR from the BEGINNING OF 1968) and containing all existing/surviving STUDIO recordings made for BBC radio and TV, between the spring of 1967 and the summer of 1969. The first fourteen recordings are the line-up with Syd Barrett, while David Gilmour already appears in the remaining fifteen. Please note that several pieces never appeared on catalogue records ("Scream Thy Last Scream", "Vegetable Man", "Embryo", "Point Me At The Sky", "Moonhead"), though in a few other cases only the titles were changed... The quality is very good or even ideal - certainly better than on Pink Floyd's official, lavish, big CD box set (the people responsible for choosing the recordings for "The Early Years" dropped the ball, since versions in far better quality had been circulating among fans for years) though 3-4 short recordings hiss slightly, or are a little dull and will not get any better. ATTENTION! There is also an Italian, double version on the market (75 minutes in a beautiful psychedelic sleeve) - ending, however, in December 1968 and containing weaker versions of the early recordings - taken from the CD box set. The Verne Records version, on the other hand, contains not only remastered, de-noised and corrected material (for example "Interstellar Overdrive" at the right speed, and not a minute... too slow - as on the PF box set!), but also, on the fourth side of the vinyl, a brilliant session from May 1969 (20 minutes) and the rare, uncut and excellent, 7-minute "Moonhead" - recorded specially by the band for BBC TV to mark the Moon landing in July 1969! This is a great treat for fans of old rock! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: MINT / NEW, unsealed. -
CD
PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Live In Amsterdam 1969 - SPA Top Gear Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
An absolutely fantastic, fan-club CD containing the full, 80-minute recording of the concert that took place in September 1969 in Amsterdam and which was broadcast on local radio. After many years the broadcast was repeated and became the basis of many bootlegs. However, none of them sounded as good, as dynamic and as clean (hiss-free) as this one! It is hard to imagine any better-sounding concert material. The band presented then its unique, psychedelic spectacle 'The Man & The Journey' containing many themes/tracks never explored before or since on official records. This is psychedelic nirvana - an absolute must for every fan of the band and of the progressive music of the time. The whole would be ideal were it not for 2-3 weaker, vocal moments by David Gilmour. That was probably the reason why this material was never officially released! The front of the sleeve shows the official poster that Hipgnosis prepared for the British tour, so the whole thing looks exceptionally impressive! A must! -
CD
PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Zabriskie Point - The Lost Album (November-December 1969) - SPA Top Gear Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A superb, limited fan-club CD (lasting 80 minutes) from Top Gear, containing sixteen tracks by Pink Floyd ONLY (taken from the 'master tape') from the recording session for the cult film "Zabriskie Point" - from Rome, December 1969. The first eight compositions come from an album originally planned to contain only Pink Floyd recordings; unfortunately, the director Antonioni changed his mind at the last minute and used only three of the band's pieces on the official soundtrack (including "Crumbling Land" in a cut-down version - here in its full, 6-minute glory). The next four pieces of Pink Floyd music appeared on the double soundtrack to the film, yet nine very intriguing tracks (lasting 43 minutes in total) have never been officially released! The sound quality is perfect! A beautiful cover! A must! (JL) -

A vinyl containing a nearly 50-minute, complete recording of a short performance by the band in excellent form. The concert took place at the University of Southampton, on 9 May 1969, during the British tour on which the live material for the LP "Ummagumma" was also made. A must! (JL) -

PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - More - Soundtrack From The Film - AUSTRALIAN Columbia ('orange') 1973 Press - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 250,00 PLN / 62,50 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare Australian 1973 edition of the band's third album, the most underrated record in Pink Floyd's career - beating hands down almost everything the band recorded in the 70s! At that time (1968-70) the band was at the peak of its powers - combining psychedelia with progressive rock in an unusual and innovative way, crowned by the live part of the LP "Ummagumma", released a few months later, and by the studio and live recordings made for BBC radio, known only from bootlegs. Sleeve: MINT- / Record, probably unplayed: MINT(-) -
CD
PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Radio Sessions (BBC Session + Dutch Paradiso Live) 1969 - SPA Top Gear - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Another fantastic, fan-club CD lasting 80 minutes and containing four superb musical pieces from 1969 - all with sound of perfect quality! First a 20-minute, studio session recorded for John Peel in May 1969 - that is, in the period between the LPs "More" and "Ummagumma". The band made impressive use of the sounds of birds, wind, sea and so on and what is more simply played frenziedly! Right afterwards came the brilliant "Moonhead" - a 6-minute piece, never used in the studio, recorded live in the BBC studio in July 1969 - on the very day the Americans landed on the Moon. Then follows a 40-minute portion of a concert for Dutch radio - in ideal quality, but, as a result of a microphone failure, without vocals. Strangely, however, that is not a drawback at all, as most of the material is instrumental by nature anyway, and besides, at last you can hear all the nuances. At the end of the CD, as a bonus, is (until recently completely unknown) version of "Interstellar Overdrive", which at the last moment dropped out of the live part of the LP "Ummagumma". Together with a collection of nice photos from the period the whole thing looks exceptionally impressive! A must! (JL) -

PLASTIC PENNY (see also: Chicken Shack / Procol Harum) - PLASTIC PENNY - Everything I Am - Complete Plastic Penny (3CD) - UK Grapefruit - LISTENprice: 135,00 PLN / 33,75 EUR
A three-disc box set containing both albums recorded by the band - "Two Sides Of A Penny" (in mono and stereo versions), a very nice pop-psychedelic debut, and "Currency", a sensational album that is a link between the freakbeat-psychedelic era (The Who, The Move) and early progressive rock. Organ-and-guitar sounds in the vein of The Nice, Velvett Fogg and The Gods. Paul Raymond on organ (later Chicken Shack and UFO), Mick Grabham on guitar and Nigel Olsson on drums (Uriah Heep's debut and the Elton John Band).
