"Lord Of Misrule" is an album from 2017 on which Blood Ceremony develop their characteristic sound inspired by the rock of the 70s. The band's music combines heavy, doomy riffs with psychedelia and a distinctly marked occult atmosphere. A special role is played here by the flute, which gives the compositions a unique, almost folk flavour. The production is warmer and more accessible than on earlier releases, but does not lose its dark atmosphere. It is one of the more interesting records of the contemporary strand of rock referring to the aesthetics of Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -

The French language is no obstacle at all, and the band itself knew how to create the right mood, as in the 11-minute, psychedelic 'haunted castle', or in the recordings full of progressive action at the end of the album. Remastered, limited 2019 Canadian reissue, on transparent vinyl. Highly recommended! -

The French language is no hindrance at all, and the band itself could create the right mood, as in the 11-minute, psychedelic 'Nawiedzony zamek', or in the tracks full of progressive action at the end of the album. One of my favourite and most often played albums! Top three of the best records in the history of Canadian rock - and what is more, recorded by a few 18-year-olds! It is hard to define this music unequivocally - it is supposedly hard-rock, but... a psychedelic kind. Many changes of rhythm and mood; charming, somewhat Beatles-like melodies. Two improvised, guitar tracks run for over 10 minutes. A must! -

A very underrated, forgotten band combining different varieties of psychedelia with a sharp guitar sound. The second, somewhat more bluesy album referenced the style of the 'first', with greater use of organ. Highly recommended! (JL) -

A superb, psychedelic debut (with a 20-minute suite in the style of The Doors' "Celebration Of The Lizard") by Canadians who in 1970 changed their name to Chilliwack. Dreamy, melodic, though intense moods - at times garnished with a tasty flute part or sharp guitar... A bomb! The second album was still nice, but you could hear the inspiration of the work of Blood Sweat & Tears (brass instruments). Highly recommended! (JL) -

Only four tracks including a great cover of "Nature's Way" from the repertoire of Spirit and the 17-minute "Live And Return", which took up the whole second side of the original vinyl! Canadian CD. Definitely recommended! -
