VAN HALEN - VAN HALEN - Warner Bros. Demos, April 1977 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in a run of 500 copies, a superb, European album recorded by the band's classic line-up at the Warner Bros studios in one day in April 1977! A full nine months before the release of the legendary debut album of January 1978! Let the fact that almost all the recordings (apart from perhaps four) from this longplayer/this session were not used on the band's catalogue records testify to how capable this band was!!! Interestingly, the tracks, played live, without overdubs, were produced by the same team (Ted Templeman/Don Landee) as the early Van Halen titles and, for example, the debut of Montrose! So every fan of early Van Halen with Dave Lee Roth will be overjoyed, all the more so since the sound quality of this 50-minute vinyl is perfect, as it comes from the first copy of the master tape. Without a doubt it is the most valuable and best-sounding unofficial material by this once megapopular band! Two other recordings ('You Really Got Me' and 'Show Me The Way') were included as bonuses with the set of the legendary Pasadena concert of October 1977 - now also released by Verne! The laminated, very attractive cover contains several rare, nice photographs of the band and a reproduction of the unused, alternative cover for the LP 'Van Halen'!!! An absolute must! Condition: MINT (NEW, UNSEALED). -

It was released on LP by Elektra in 1972 with notes by Kaye, which contained one of the first uses of the term 'punk rock'. The album was reissued, with a new cover, by Sire Records in 1976. In the 80s Rhino Records released Nuggets in a series of fifteen parts, and in 1998 as a four-CD set. -

VARIOUS ARTISTS - VARIOUS ARTISTS – Fifth Pipe Dream Volume I (LP) - Guerssen Records Pressprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
A very attractive Guerssen release, awaited for ages, of a legendary American psych rock compilation with unreleased, premiere material issued in 1968 by the San Francisco Sound label, cult today. It features recordings by It’s A Beautiful Day (before their album debut!), Tripsichord Music Box (another legend!) and the forgotten West Coast Natural Gas, San Francisco Sound House Band and Black Swan. The music oscillates between psychedelia, garage rock and folk rock, with plenty of overdriven guitars, organs, multi-voice vocal parts and extended instrumental forms characteristic of the era. The record captures the peak period of the development of psychedelic rock, combining extended guitar parts with the arrangement freedom typical of the late 60s. An edition in the original black-and-white, gatefold sleeve, with a four-page insert and remastered sound. A MUST! (JL) -
