DEF LEPPARD - DEF LEPPARD - Live At The BBC 1979-1980 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Limited to 500 copies, a 55-minute black vinyl released in a beautiful, laminated sleeve with rare, very early photos of the band. This genuinely wonderful album contains two legendary concerts from the period before and just after the release of the debut LP 'On Through The Night'. First, a 32-minute, fantastic-sounding show from August 1979 (taken from the original, promotional BBC Transcription Disc + an additional, missing track 'Rock Brigade' from another source), when the band had a self-financed EP to its name. Most of the second side is taken up by an almost complete, 24-minute show from the 1980 Reading Festival (with a brilliant version of 'Lady Strange' from the second record) - in almost equally good quality! The album contains rare titles not released on official records, such as 'Glad I'm Alive' and 'Medicine Man'. Generally I am not a die-hard Def Leppard fan, but on the first two albums and at the early concerts (with two lead guitars in the old style) they were phenomenal! The whole sounds 20% better than the best versions on YouTube (links below). A must! Condition: NEW, but not shrink-wrapped. -

DELIVERY (see also: Caravan / Gong / Soft Machine) - CAROL GRIMES AND DELIVERY - Fools Meeting +7 - EU Prog Gems Expanded Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A wonderful, progressive and without doubt pioneering album with distinctly jazzy elements, released at the end of 1970 - recorded by future musicians of Gong, Caravan, Nucleus and Soft Machine. This CD, lasting 79 minutes, contains splendid, extended compositions free of musical padding, a dense sound, and above all the fantastic, emotional (and fortunately free of the hoarseness popular at the time...) female vocal of Carol Grimes - one of the best rock vocalists of the day! How good this album is can be heard literally from the first 10-20 seconds! NOTE! The earlier CD version, long unavailable, was credited under the name Delivery, but the original vinyl (faithfully reproduced in this booklet) was credited as Carol Grimes And Delivery. Additionally 7 tracks are included, among them the B-side of a rare single from 1970 and a short BBC radio performance. Great sound! A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -
DEMON FUZZ - DEMON FUZZ - Afreaka! +3 - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
The best rock record ever made by black musicians - beating the early Osibisa albums! Remastered, British edition of a superb album combining classic, juicy prog-rock with elements of caustic funk and good jazz - something like Hannibal and a stronger If. Plenty of Hammond, nice saxophone and flute parts, great, almost heavy-rock drumming and above all long, extended tracks. Additionally three tracks from a rare EP. This is rocking and an absolute must! (JL) -

A classic, bluesy album recorded by Eric Clapton's band with the participation of Duane Allman. It is one of the best blues-rock albums of all time(!!!), containing, among others: the absolutely classic Layla; I Looked Away; Bell Bottom Blues; the 10-minute Key To The Highway; Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad - with superb solos by Clapton and Allman - and a very nice version of Hendrix's Little Wing! Truth be told, this wonderful album does not have a single weak spot (well, except perhaps for the average Keep On Growing, which refers to the work of Delaney And Bonnie)! The absolute canon of rock! New, remastered edition. -

The third, most rock-oriented record by the "deviants" - with wonderfully overdriven guitars and a pulsating rhythm section in the foreground. Plenty of rather heavy playing, close to Cream, Ten Years After and the forgotten N.S.U. Highly recommended! -
DEVIANTS (see also: Pink Fairies / Mick Farren / Twink) - DEVIANTS - Ptooff! - EU Tiger Bay CLEAR VINYL Pressprice: 135,00 PLN / 33,75 EUR
A splendid debut by the cult psychedelic British band. A sensational album, though not for everyone. Strongly anarchic and, at the time, very original psychedelic rock mixed with garage, that is catchy melodies, lots of fuzzed guitars, plenty of assorted sound effects. In short: a combination of early Pink Floyd (with Barrett) with Eric Burdon And The Animals, with a pinch of the Rolling Stones from their 'Satanic' period. A 2018 reissue, on clear vinyl. A must! (JL) -

DIAGONAL - DIAGONAL - Second Mechanism - UK Rise Above Digipack - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
A fantastic second album by the Brits! "Second Mechanism" is excellent, heavyish, progressive material, recorded on old analogue equipment, as if plucked straight from 1970-73! Guitars, mellotron, analogue keyboards, saxophone, flute and classic-sounding drums. In my opinion it is perhaps even a better album than the debut! As before, long, instrumental, slightly psychedelic forms full of changes of tempo and mood dominate here too. If this album had come out 40 years ago we would all have "prayed" to it, like to the best classics of prog rock! We absolutely recommend it to all fans of good, progressive playing! -
