DIAGONAL - Second Mechanism - UK Rise Above Digipack - LISTEN

A fantastic second album by the Brits! "Second Mechanism" is excellent, heavyish, progressive material, recorded on old analogue equipment, as if plucked straight from 1970-73! Guitars, mellotron, analogue keyboards, saxophone, flute and classic-sounding drums. In my opinion it is perhaps even a better album than the debut! As before, long, instrumental, slightly psychedelic forms full of changes of tempo and mood dominate here too. If this album had come out 40 years ago we would all have "prayed" to it, like to the best classics of prog rock! We absolutely recommend it to all fans of good, progressive playing!
