ACID - ACID - Maniac +3 - UK Hear No Evil Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
Released in 1983, "Maniac" is superb, classic speed-power metal from Belgium, with female vocals - a smoother Motorhead and sped-up AC/DC, with a pinch of Metallica from the period of "Kill 'Em All". Nice, simple playing with nice guitar solos and very good drumming. Some of the tracks are so good and so easily 'catchy' that it is hard to believe. This is one of my favourite metal albums! Additionally three bonuses from the maxi-single "Black Car" (1984). Highly recommended! (JL) -

ARKHAM - ARKHAM- Arkham - Cuneiform Records - UNIKALNY CDprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
This album from 1972 is really the only document of the band's activity. The music develops at the meeting point of composition and improvisation – it can be raw, at moments surprisingly subtle, with a distinctly jazz approach to form. Instead of classic themes, evolving sound structures appear, building tension and gradually releasing it. The central role is played by Hammond organ and electric piano, which lead the narrative and give the whole a hypnotic, at times slightly unsettling character. A 2002 edition. Only one copy! New, sealed. -
BURNING PLAGUE - BURNING PLAGUE - Burning Plague - EU Sun King Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A new, European reissue from Sun King of the only album, released in 1970 by CBS, by a great, cult Belgian blues-rock band, playing like a heavier and rawer Cuby + The Blizzards! This superb LP (worth over 500 euros on vinyl) belongs to the absolute top of classic European blues rock of the turn of the 60s and 70s! Two years later the band transformed into Doctor Downtrip. Highly recommended! Condition: NEW, UNSEALED. (JL) -

DOCTOR DOWNTRIP (see also: Downtrip / Burning Plague) - DOCTOR DOWNTRIP - Doctor Downtrip +6 - EU Once Again Expanded Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released at the end of 1973 by CBS, a great album by a hard blues-rock Belgian band, led by the former leader of the blues-rock band Burning Plague - known for the cult LP from 1970. Doctor Downtrip is classic, fairly heavy, thoroughbred European playing, a bit in the vein of our Breakout from 1972-1974, but in my opinion better. Additionally included are six rare recordings from three singles from 1970-1973. Highly recommended! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -

The first album by this cult band from Belgium is on the 'wish lists' of most vinyl collectors - reaching up to 3000 euros in perfect condition! Highly recommended! (JL) -

A new, European reissue from Sun King of a great, hard-progressive album by a Belgian band, released only in France in 1971, based on the interplay of organs and guitars, echoing the style of very early Uriah Heep and Deep Purple. Nobody will be disappointed! The reissue, released in a laminated sleeve, looks almost identical (it has a photo of the band added on the back) to the original worth 400 euros! Highly recommended! (JL) Condition: New, unsealed. -

LAGGER BLUES MACHINE (see also: Dragon / Downtrip) - COUNTRY LANE - Substratum - EU Prog Gems Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A remastered, great-sounding reissue, unavailable for many years, of the only album, released in February 1973, by a forgotten Swiss band. The band impressed with a high standard of performance and maturity of composition, and at the same time skilfully and variously combined a heavy, organ-and-guitar sound with distinctly British roots with melodic rock. On the one hand you can hear here the influences of Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Pink Floyd and Van Der Graaf Generator, but also of French progressive bands such as Ange and Triangle. You listen to the record in one breath, because (except for one 3-minute musical joke) it was filled with 'nothing but the dense stuff'! I will only add that on the second part of the original vinyl there was a 20-minute, progressive suite! 'Substratum' remains one of the most interesting, though little-known, records of continental European progressive rock of the first half of the 70s. A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -
LAURELIE (see also: Jenghiz Khan) - LAURELIE - Laurelie - SWE Flawed Gems - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! The CD edition, awaited for at least 20 years, of the only LP by a very good Belgian progressive group playing early, still slightly psychedelic prog rock (with acoustic interludes) in the style of Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues, Focus, Traffic and Cressida. The whole began with an almost 10-minute piece with nice flute and guitar parts, and ended with an 18-minute, multi-threaded suite. The original vinyl (worth 500 euros) was released by the label Triangle - known for the LP Irish Coffee. This is a real treat for fans of playing from 1969-70! Highly recommended!
