Remastered and expanded British edition! I love this record! A decidedly progressive album - perhaps at times a little difficult, but rewarding your patience after just a few listens! Brown, characterised by an incredible, diabolical voice, created with the band something like a (sometimes very) twisted suite - with plenty of juicy, progressive playing (guitars, organ) in the style of old Arthur Brown, King Crimson, rock Zappa, Nicholas Greenwood and early Atomic Rooster - and that is surely a good recommendation. Recently the CD Kingdom Come - Kingdom Come (1972) was also released. One more thing: in two tracks there is unconventional editing, so it may seem that the CD is faulty, but that is how Brown devised it and how it was recorded - also on the old vinyl! An absolute must! -

Released in a beautiful, gatefold, laminated sleeve (with nice, rare photos of the band), a DOUBLE, limited to 500 copies, European, perfect-sounding and very long recording of, in my opinion, the best concert of the band's career, which took place on 9 January 1970 at London's Royal Albert Hall. Probably every fan knows this material (which came out on the band's official DVD), but it is worth noting that this vinyl edition contains two unreleased fragments: a sensational "Heartbreaker" (unfortunately faded out abruptly after four minutes due to a broken tape) and the closing "Long Tall Sally". The sound quality is stunningly excellent - slightly better than on the official DVD and a good 30% better than on the muddy, three-disc box set (also gathering a CD and a DVD from the Royal Albert Hall) released some time ago. An absolute must! Condition: new, not shrink-wrapped. -

This is one of my favourite unknown British albums of the late 60s! The only, almost progressive record by a British trio combined elements of early, experimental hard-rock in the vein of Cream and Andromeda with delicate vocals and mellotron sounds. Almost all the tracks ran for under four minutes, but that did not matter at all! It was all closed by an excellent, 10-minute version of "Making Time" from the repertoire of Creation, whom I adore. Released in 1971, the sole album (apart from the archival CD and vinyl from the 1969-1970 sessions) by an excellent British progressive band with the Swiss keyboard virtuoso Patrick Moraz - later in Refugee, Yes and The Moody Blues! Plenty of Hammonds, sharp guitars, extended compositions and plenty of changing moods. The top shelf of progressive rock of the early 70s! In the opinion of many it is a better album than the sole achievement of the aforementioned Refugee. An absolute MUST! -

The debut (concept) album by The Mars Volta. The story presented on it is based on a tale written by the band's vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala and sound engineer Jeremy Michael Ward. It is an hour-long story about Cerpin Taxt, a man who tries to commit suicide by overdosing on morphine. As a result of this attempt he falls into a week-long coma, during which he experiences visions of humanity and of his own psyche. On waking he is filled with dissatisfaction with the real world and kills himself. The story of Cerpin Taxt is based on the death of the artist and Bixler-Zavala's friend from El Paso - Julio Venegas. -

An edition limited to 500 copies of the cult debut album, released at the end of 1967, by the legendary Swedish psychedelic band modelled on the early Jimi Hendrix Experience (especially the vocal) and The Doors - with a pinch of The Mothers Of Invention. It is top-shelf dark, psychedelic rock (with distant echoes of rhythm'n'blues) - surprisingly up to date at the time, and even ahead of American or British trends by a few months. In addition, two recordings from a very rare single. Excellent sound and great pressing. The laminated sleeve looks like the Swedish original. Highly recommended! New, sealed. (JL) -

Please do not be put off by the rustic cover! This album, recorded in Stockholm in 1969 and released only in the States in 1970, is heavy, strongly narcotic (but without clowning), psychedelic, at moments progressive rock from Sweden - of a very high shelf! This time the leader, playing Hammonds and singing in the manner of Hendrix, took on three former musicians of the excellent, psychedelic group Baby Grandmothers and the result was a genuinely great album - harking back to the style of Pink Floyd, Iron Butterfly, Hendrix, The Doors, Cream and very early Soft Machine. The record contains, among others, two longer, 8-10 minute mini-suites. For the first time on CD the American mix, released only on vinyl in 1970, is used. The previous CD edition (in a digipak) contained the unreleased Swedish mix and just two tracks from the USA. Now the Swedish mix has been split in half between the second and third albums. A must! A very important role was also played by the dreamy, or else mysterious, phrases of the keyboard player Wright, inspired by the music of the East. A wonderful record - perhaps the best in the band's whole discography, and certainly the most important and the most pioneering! 2016 edition, in a gatefold paper sleeve. -
